This is an awesome design. The structural pieces are fantastic, but I'm drawn to the rock work as the most impressive part. It looks so natural and believable. The crooked staircase and of course the lit water make this just an outstanding MOC.
The attention to all these details really set this a step above the norm.
I love this MOC but there is one thing that is wrong with it and for me it's a deal breaker.
The photographs. A white background studio would really do this MOC justice. With that window in the background out really ruined the colors of your MOC and makes it a little difficult to focus on the details. Also the table doesn't help.
I may sound harsh, but I really do like the MOC, I personally like the ropes you used. The LEGO ones have always been too thin, yours look more rugged and real.
Congratulations you three, you really deserve it more than any other, you're star players, I hope to be as good of mafia players a you three, quantity isn't everything in mafia games, or I'd have my tag.
Congrats you guys, you're better than most.
I think some good discussion can come from this.
Personally as a fan of the films and just Pirates in general, I'll sell my shoes if it means I can have them both.
The QAR is bigger and looks to have more details, but the Pearl is the Pearl, enough said. Hence my 3rd option.
I don't appreciate being labeled as a non player since I didn't talk as much as others. We all have our own strategies, I got axed on day one of two consecutive mafia games for talking too much, so I switched up my approach in this game.
Regardless it was fun, I am having so many "Doh" moments looking back. Also I think I'm just going to randomly vote for staff next game, because I'll likely hit scum.
Good game though, and great job def for having such limited access.
I agree on both fronts.
Wow, just wow!
The stained glass looks phenomenal, and that golem it's just cool, you really got the face right, he has a facial expression but you managed to make it out of stone. Fantastic!
I think it was a well layed out MOC. The sandal bridge piece is beautifully done, and I readily like your assassin, plus it's photographed beautifully.
Wait, what? Where did this come from? Did the town just get hosed?
It sounds like your not even going to bother explaining yourself, I thought there were only two scum left?
Thank you all for your interests. I am closing this thread for the time being and I will post our selections here to let everyone know. If we select you, you will receive a PM from either me or someone else on the Shipyard Crew. Please give us some time to decide as making decisions on forums can take time to get everyone's feedback, due to different time zones and personal lives and all that good stuff.
So stay tuned, and thank you again for everyone who showed interest.
