I think its a good idea and a bad idea. It'd be good for those wanting to learn, but MOC'ing is more personal than reviewing and criticisms may be taken more to heart, plus if everyone starts moc'ing in the same style, who will be unique? I think the way it is now works well, if someone wants advice they post a wip thread, if they don't, they save posting until their own creation is complete.

Ok wow, I'm on my phone so I only see one picture at a time and when I saw the first pc I said ok, he's going to create something similar. You did not you created the entire room and blew away the LEGO version. Spectacular!

Congrats on the find, it makes me wonder how the garage sale owner came into possession of it?

I really like the custom hats and torso prints. Great work, are you planning them for a larger battle scene? Our just for fun?

That's awesome ACPin, I like how you did the robot arms, and without watching the movie to do an exact comparison, this indirectly immediately reminds me potc that scene. Stupendous work!
-
That is fantastic, the proportions are just prefect, LEGO should buy the rights from you and make a set out of this, seriously I think it's that good. It's also my new phone wallpaper.
-
Haha apparently someone thinks they can do your job better than you? Well at least you choose a good thread to merge it into.

Beautiful, I really dig the flooring on this one. It's amazing becasue all of your creations/houses look similar but not too similar, Kind of like just similar enough that I instantly know it's you. Awesome work, I would love to see everything you've ever done all next to each other.

I actually have not seen a brthday thread in a while. It's good to see we are still getting older. Happy Birthday all!

Zorro believed in me and I'm not sure if I expressed my gratitude enough, he was a god friend and I believe he is in a giant LEGO store in the sky where they have everything in stock and its always free. He will be greatly missed and I can only pray for his close family dealing with this loss. Goodbye Zorro, I'll miss you.

Welcome to the forums, Brick Chick (Clever name) If you'd like to be recognized as a lady, you can ask for a pink star in this thread. Or not, if you don't like. Have fun!

Welcome to the forums Eryn! I was about to point you towards the Lady's thread but when I went to get the URL, you had already posted. Enjoy the forums, and don't be afraid to ask if you have any questions!

After the first few gigantic stars I was like, no way, and then about 5 stars later, my perception of size went out the window. I'll find a good video to post later tonight.

Absolutely. I find myself getting lost at work when posing a few select fig's I have there. I find myself usually just imagining what I would do with them, sometimes I'll be building and just get lost while I space out thinking of what I could do. You're never too old to play. LOL, EDIT: To clarify my stance since Sieggy posted, I'm 28 and occasioanlly catch myself wanting to play with my LEGO's

Thats a great attitude to have. I rather like the lights, I think it add's to the scene. Awesome job!

That was educational and enjoyable. For some reason i always thought Mars was bigger than the earth.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Big Cam replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I know, but being a collector, and not planning to buy any more of series 3, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy, mainly because it's been shown that these are rarer than other figs, with only 2-3 being in a sealed box. -

I love the mumies, so much printing for one fig. Of my 45 that I grabbed out of 2 boxes, I'm atoked. I forget the number of everything but I managed to get 6 mummies (I love them) 4 Fisherman ( I know these are going for alot on Bricklink) 3 Elves (Also worth quite a bit on bricklink) And then of course various others, I managed to get zero aliens which is fine becasue I don't like them, but I also didn't get any female snowboarders which I would have liked. $135 well spent. -
Unfortunately I have zero experience with macs, but I did a quick google search and I think you donte even need to use iphoto. 1. Have the image on your desktop an a then click to open it, make sure it opens in preview. 2. Go to tools. 3. Find adjust size... 4. ........ 5. Profit If that doesn't work you can always use www.picresize.com which is free and internet based so I'm sure it will work with your mac, at least I assume so.

Correct, you can not view profiles until you have ten posts, because then you are moved out of the "I'm new" group. I was suggesting that when registering, new members should have to, (and I think they might already have to read over the rules), read a welcome message covering a bunch of common questions and in that initial message this profile topic should be mentioned.

Collectible minifigures. Keep them or sell them ?
Big Cam replied to Eisenaffe's topic in Special LEGO Themes
The answer to your question is simple. Supply and demand. Everything becomes more valuable once production stops, if there is a demand for it. Even though current prices may not reflect this yet series 1 fig's are more valuable now than 6 months ago. If you only want to make money off of them and can absorb the cost of holding on to all of your duplicates then do so. I can almost guarantee in time even the unpopular collectable fig's like the crash test dummy will go up in price. Once the supply ends prices are sure to go up, maybe slowly but if theirs demand I guarantee you they will. I personally am keeping one completed set of each series as well as all the does of fig's I like, such as the zombie our mummy, then I'm selling the rest. I somewhat agree with you, the licensed themes do appeal to more than just LEGO dan's, but remember its the AFOl's that drive up the price of licensed fig's, not the regular LEGO consumer, and again its the AFOL's that are driving up the collectable fig prices, so to me the collectable fig's seem to have the same appeal as most licensed sets. -
That is epic, I love that scene and you guys really took the time to make Endor look good.
