I doubt it's a clearance sale so much as it's a promotional sale. Target is too smart to accidentally mark brand new items as clearance.

I find it odd that the mini X-wing is the NEW promotional piece when it was on sale in the USA for months. I personally have like 5 still, and I sent about 20 to a Sith Lord on this site. The way TLG makes things promotional in some area's and regular sets in others really baffles me.

Thats the great thing about LEGO and Eurobricks, you can constantly be involved by comment and browsing the forum, as well as building MOC's from your existing sets. I have gone months without buying any LEGO but I don't see myself ever hitting a dark age again. Just because you don't want to buy any of the current sets, doesn't mean you can't get excited about them. Shoot, I think if I could I'd buy every set that comes out, but I'm veering off topic.

haha, well I may be recalling from memory, so in fact you may have disposed of the unworthy ones. The 2 I was thinking of are super old past staff members (you know who) a certain range of individuals whom some are now grand dukes where with one post a rank increase will happen. Thats just me remembering things I shouldn't.

Thats what this thread says. That I don't know, I would assume so, but the only confirmed successes have been by calling on the phone. You should read this thread that you just posted in. That is not good to hear. I would suggest calling them, if it comes down to it, bring up the details like you know the replacement pack comes with 4 gold coins and one gold bar, and you have heard of others calling ad getting these replaced, heck direct the LEGO rep here, like others have.

Although pricey, I like this set, the boat hulls are great pieces and as much as some people like the brick built hulls, these giant pre molded hull pieces are hard to come by. Thanks for the review!

TLG has done this set at least once before in my 20 odd years of being involved with LEGO and the new mold for the front of the boat is awesome. Thanks for a great review with some really good pictures.

4 hours?!?!?, I'm impressed! I'm a fan of foliage in Land based MOC's, and you have just the right amount. The building is great too, the scene looks straight out of Robin Hood or something along those lines. Great work, keep the surprise MOC's coming!

I can verify this. I bought 4181 Isle De Muerta today and I bought 4193 The London Escape about a week ago and they both had dull gold. I called LEGO customer service and they are sending me 6 packages of new metallic shiny gold. Each package contains 4 gold coins and one gold brick. Since the 4181 set has 10 gold coins, he said I'll send you 3 packages, then I said how about the 4193 set, so he added 3 more. SO I'll be getting 6 gold bars and 24 gold coins. I'm not sure how many coins come in the 4193 set since I already have it all in a ziploc bag, but the customer service guy said there are notes on both sets in their system and these packages are authorized replacement packages. So be sure to make sure they know how many coins you need replaced when you call. They asked me for some info off of the box, so SAVE them if still have them for when you call. I didn't exactly ask, but I mentioned I read on line that LEGO was going to be changing the set, and he didn't really say anything about it, so I didn't push it.

Holy cow, this is great unexpected news, makes me want to go buy this set now and call LEGO so I can have both versions. Seriously this is great news, so many Pirate fans were bummed on this one.

This is great, you really nailed kame house, and from a distance I wasn't impressed with the fig's but up close I saw the detail. You again nailed each fig, I love Roshi's head, is that custom, it looks familiar but I can't say from where. I love this, it was done very well.
