  1. Thanks, KhoRne and yoda. My review looks a lot better now!
  2. Okay, so one day, I decide to browse the offical Lego message boards, and, well, my eyes nearly pop out of my head! I mean, they are out of control! So many spamming and off topic members, and dont forget posts that use about 3 million smilees....(exagerated) Here's a few select posts I grabed from various topics: *sick* *wacko* So, what do you think, out of control, or am I chop liver? :-D
  3. Edit: Oh boy, It happened. My pictures stretched the screen. Um, could somebody trim these for me, I don't know how to myself. Well, I recently picked up a 7704 Sonic Phantom, and since there’s only one review on Eurobricks so far, I thought I’d make this my first review. Hope you find it useful! The Box: As someone on another site once quoted, the box often is the factor that decides whether someone will buy a kit or not. Okay, so that’s not even close to the original statement, but you get the idea. Front of the box: Notice the cell shading technique they used. Pretty cool, but at the same time, it makes it harder to see what the model actually looks like. Back of the box: Shows all the stuff on the other boxes. Nothing special, but still good. Final rating: 7/10 The Minifigure Good, since it’s not as common as the brown one. That torso is cool! Final Rating: 9/10 The Pieces: Some of the highlights are the good selection of curved slopes, and those cool lime green round bricks. Here we see the all important turbines. They actually use lego’s new two color swirl molding technique. Looks okay, but I would have liked a solid colored turbine better. And here’s the light-up brick included. Hard to see in this picture, but oh well. Another thing about this set: about a third of the pieces included are Technic, mainly axels and pins. Final rating: 8/10 The Model: Here’s an overal shot of the model. Looks good from here. A shot of the body. Standard, no more, no less. A shot of the tail. I’m wondering what that rotor is doing back their. Plain The engines. These are much more cool. The rotors are not attached, so you can spin all of them. Side shot of the engines. They look great from the outside, but they are very empty inside. The missile launcher. Well designed, I love launching it at my Gate Assault gate! BUT, the light up brick is not attached, it just lays there. Not good when you’re trying loop-the-loops! The other engine, and the small wing it hangs off of. Pretty plain, the guns are good though. The beam thingy hanging out the back of the model. May seem weird, but when you’re trying to swoosh it through the air, it’s a lifesaver! (I mean, you’re supposed to hold that when flying it around) Nice feature. The underside. Standard. Nothing else to say. Body: 7/10 Tail: 7/10 Engines: 8/10 Missile launcher: 8/10 Underside: 7/10 Final Rating: 7.4/10 Playability and Swoosh Factor: This kit is really fun to swoosh around the house, and launching the missile is fun too. It’s made mainly for playability, and it serves that purpose well. Playbility: 8/10 Swoosh factor: 9/10 Overall Rating: 8/10 The kit is pretty good overal, but a few things could be inproved. But, I belive I got my money's worth, and am ready for the rest of Exo-Force! So, what do you think?
  4. Okay, Yoda, I get your picture. ;) Nothing against you, like I said, we just have different views. Okay, now that that's done, let me say that I do not like that combiner as much as the red/white one. Okay, but not great.
  5. Nice review, BJ. If I had the money, I would get this set, but my money's being saved for EXO-FORCE, must have those mech's! I agree, the cloaks look weird, but when you look at all of the other great parts, those don't stand out at all. Cool! Backpack, how may times are you going to double or triple post? For Pete's sake, use the edit button!
  6. >-| I belive we have either a liar or a mixed up member in our presense......
  7. 13. Yes, I know I'm one of the youngest members here! ;) Anyway, I've been a fan of Bionicle since 2004. Before then, I had gotten a couple Rahkishi and Bohrok, but never really played with them. Then, in Januarry of 2004, I bought a few metruan, then toa, and it kind of springborded from there. I buy Bionicle mainly for making MOC's, and also, er....telling stories. It's kind of odd that I'm stilll doing something 6 year olds do, but I do enjoy it, and probably will for a while longer. Besides, imagination is what makes me really fun to be around!
  8. Okay, so maybe I was being really harsh. But can't I give my view on things? Never mind, It's over and done with, so I won't talk about it anymore.
  9. Not to be mean, but I did not like this review. For starters, its very unprofessinal, at least compared to most of the other reviews. I mean, no final rating, you only talked about the bad things, and you did not give any info why you hated certail things! Okay, to make my point, look at some of the things you said! Just how is a flame thrower bad? Even if it's small? Flames are very powerful things... And what about that claw? Looks fine to me, seems as you just hate small weapons....and what's wrong with small weapons? I mean, it's a medium mech, not a huge mech like Grand Titan and Thunder Hammer! Um, yes, it's for flying. Couldn't see that? And, just what's wrong with a giant turbine (not vent, mind you). Its andvanced tech, in a fictonal world, for crying out loud! It seems that many AFOL's and KFOL's are taking this line to seriously. If they were trying to make this based on how things would work in real life, there would be NO EXO-FORCE! *wacko* Ugh. Anyway, I like this mech, because of it's good pieces, cool body design, and great playability, all of which can be seen without actually owning the set, and NONE of which you mentioned. Oh, but, you're still actually one of my favorite members, since you actually like some Exo-Force sets, so I don't have much against you.
  10. Well, I've mostly decoded the first message. It reads: A LOCK ON THE SHIP CAN BE OPENED WITH THE SENVMBER. The first part is right, I think, but I dont know about that last word....I goofed somehow.
  11. I voted Ice Planet 2002. I love the trans-orange pieces and white space wheels. The models were cool too!
  12. Oh....... :oD Now this is what I'm talking about, all these sets are awesome! Let me revew each of them (from the pictures) Hero Tank: I don't understand why xwingyoda hates it, it only slightly resembles the Dino Atack tank, and in my opinion, even that wasn't that bad. But this, this is just plain cool. the treads are good, although on the other side they look weird, and the cockpit is very smooth and well designed. And the weapons...a six barfrel gatling gun, several cockpit blasters, and 10(!!!!!!) missles. Plus, lots of orange, and what if the missles actually fire...... :oD Striking Venom: Huge! Lots of green and black pieces, a cool design, and look at those gatling guns! Plus, at least 6(!!!!) and maybe even 7 or 8 robots, making it a great army builder! Another light-up brick is included, rounding up an impressive kit! They just keep getting bigger and bigger.... Sentai Headquarters: Even Bigger!!!!!!! :oD You get two new meches (3, if you count the stupid spider mech included) that are both cool, 4 robots, a neat gate, two towers (one with some sort of command center), a jet trooper, a gun turret, and what looks like a mech repair station. Awesome! This will have really great playability, and the overal base is good! Can't wait for these to come out, my money will be waiting...
  13. Well, lets try the key in the small cabnet on the bedroom door!
  14. Funny JINZONINGEN, seems as you only buy sets for the parts if they have a huge amount of 1x1 slopes. Well, what about the other parts? Like the white mudguards and car roof piece, and those red wedges and slopes? Yes, the kit model is a laugh, but the pieces are great!(for a small kit) I'll probably buy one of these.
  15. Calm down, yoda. ;) Oh, and the life size sculpture looks great! Really proffesonal...
  16. Okay, guys, I kind of regret starting this thread, it's gotten way out of hand, and just seems to be just taking up space for nothing. I'm going to be asking for this to be locked, so, post while you can. Regretfully, Grevious signing out.
  17. All comanders report, this is an urgent message: I just recieved a crackilly message from the Adventures planet. Seems that the sun was moving rapidly across the sky, and their planet was frezing. My suspions is that they were draged into a wormhole, thus causing their planet to not apear on the map. It was a trick! The Blacktron scum diverted us, their plans were actually to atack Commander Yuppley. He survived the atack, it seems, but bariley. We need all forces to send fighters to his assitance on the Ice planet. And Now! Wait, a tranmission is coming towards my fleet: All Forces Red Alert! Blcaktron is launching an atack on the bases on the Aquazone planet! They should hold off for a bit, with them having advanced tech, but they need serious help quick! I'm seding a fleet of fighthers to them now! Wait, Another Transmision!: Commanders of the resistance, my planet, the town planet is in danger. Unknown space forces are atcaking my factorys and towns. I just escaped the atacks, and am calling on you! Help us before......Urk! *end of transmisson* This is a double atack! Insectoilds are atacking the primative town planet. All forces report! This a Double Strike on the Legdromeda galaxy! My forces are already foucused on the aquazone planet and the Ice planet, so someone needs to get to the town planet! I repeat, this is a Double Strike! Mission report: Aquazone tech is defending dramaticly, but our forces are helping them actually win. We sent a fighter wing east to the hydronauts, and southwest to the Aquaraiders. Our forces are defending the crystal powerplants using technique 3A, and are forming a defensive wall against the blacktron sea invaders, good thing we equiped our ships with underwater tech. All things are holding up well...wait....OH NO! Spirus forces are coming from the north, their launching their missiles at the powerplant....All forces, Retreat! The poweroplants going to blow.......*BOOM!!!!!!!!* Retreat! Spirus forces blew up the plant! Our forces are not enough! We are in trouble.....Wait! Team Odyseous and their fighter wing are coming...yes! Its okay! We're driving back the blacktron and spirus ships! Their puttuing up a fight, we still need asistance, but we'll be okay. *end of mission report*
  18. Very good work, Starwars4J. Yes, my fleet is equiped with lots of missiles and blackout bombs (cool things that fry the electronics in a ship). We'll have the insectiods cornered soon enough. My radar is very good at detecting stealth ships, too, not as good as yours though. Your tech will come in handy. I think I'll post your info in the topic post. Master Yoda, welcome to the team! I hope you can get to the battle area soon enough, its a jungle out there! Wait, I think I'm reciving a tranmission... Yes, the map is finished! Commander Grevious, signing off.
  19. And just who do ya think you are, Redbearder? I think you forgot just who started this war and who's in charge! (not me, though it would be cool! )Stop ordering us all around, ya puny decendant, you ain't the only pirate in the seas anymore! Why, your fleet is 4+! Oh, and did I mention Mr. phes is with me in our new aliance? Yes, I already am now part of the Spanish Inqusition. Aharg!
  20. Mission Update. All Aliances Should Reply: It looks as Blacktron is atacking the Aventurers planet. Those poor explorers have No idea they're coming, so we better get up there fast before they cause some major carnage! All of my fleet already activated hyperspace, so you better hurry up! Our scouts are also making a map of the system, should be up shortly. Oh, and if you want to explore other systems, you will be able to, once we get the map up.
  21. Yeah, I'm really looking foward to this, just like all the other Pixar movies!

    Batman 2006

Man, hope that's not true, then all the European fans will miss out on the new sets! If it is true though, at least i'll be able to get them (I'm an American). Oh, and If this continues for more than 1 year, I really want to see these 6 villans: The Joker The Penguin Catwoman The Riddler Bane Posion Ivy I higly doubt we'll see a Ventrioliquist set anytme soon... :P Oh, and new vikings and exo force in the works is great!
  23. The long version: To all citizens of the Legdromeda Galaxy, we are in grave danger. The Blacktron scum and the Inscetoids scum have joined foeces to create the ultamate scum. They are atacaking and destroying many spacestations and taking over planets, causing galaxywide chaos. We must band together and destroy these creeps before they rob us of everything valuable. Are you with me? The shotened version: - The Blacktrons and Insectoids made a partnership over a cup of joe at dunkin doughtnuts. -They are derstroying everything. -We need help. Now, to play a part in this struggle, just choose one of lego's space themes as your clan. You can either join the resistance, or join the blackatron and incectoids. I will post the first mission brefings once we get another player. The rest is up to your imagination! Current players: The resistance: The commander of the resistance is the bold Grevious and he is commanding the fearless M-Trons in the quest for freedom from Blacktron/Inscetoids Starwars4J commands the mighty Futron fleets, known for the amazing diversity of their vehicle designs. Crispen is the cheif officer of the Legdromeda law enforcement, the Space Police. Kimt is the commander of the oldest faction in Legdromeda history, the great Classic Spacers. MattZitron controls some sort of faction, you need to be more specific! ;) Master Yoda mans Team Odyseus, a small, but tough fleet of fighters. The rebelion: SuvieD is the clever comander of the Spyrius hoards, a mysterious force that keeps to themselves. JINZONINGEN 73 controls half of the forces that started the great war, the reckless and feared Insectiods. Enemy info: Recon on the Insectiods indicates that they have powerful energy shields and lasers, attacking with energy weapons will do nothing. Also, putting up your own shields will do nothing (their energy weapons are...formidable). However they have not developed, or lost the technology to defend against physical weapons, such as missiles. Blacktron are pretty much the opposite. They have somewhat antiquated technology (weak energy weapons, shields, slow, etc.), but have good stealth capabilities. Map: Dark Red Circles = Incectoid teritory Light Red Circles = Blacktron teritory White Circles = The Reststance's bases ********************************************************************* Note: any simalaritys to the TAWT and Great Grey Brick wars threads is purely intentinal. Why? Just wanted to see if anyone was interested in a whole new war, and wanted a breath of frest air.
  24. Maybe you'll get lucky and you'll find a bag of flour in the cupboards, Athos. :P On second thought, maybe Spindle hid something in the cupboards. I guess I'll check them, and then check that drawer.

    new crane

CRANE... :oD That is so cool. the detail is awesome, and the wow factor really grabed my eyes. Oh, and is that a public toilet? Great little feature, TLC! The other set is okay too, but the bridge is junorized to much, it's znap! Not much more <insert that tiresome argument> you can get, but the truck is really cool, love that detail! Wow! Can't wait for these to came out!
