Hey Sting, Are you willing to customize? I haven't heard a lot of talk about that here on EB, but here is a link to variations to some pirate torsos that Anthony Sava came up with: Stickers for pirate torsos The pirate torsos are on the second page. Not all of these would work for your admiral, but a few might. All you have to do is save the files you want on your computer and print them out on sticker or decal paper, then stick them on an appropriate torso... Josh Edit: Hey, I just noticed I got a title. Sweet!

Hey All, Here are a couple of my most recent MOCs. These were posted on CC so members there won't see anything new. But I thought I would post them so the EB crowd could critique them A Fiery Knight The Graffiti Artist Thanks! Josh

I too will be doing to the happy dance when CC is back up, but I will posting here on a regular basis. I doubt that I would have gotten as involved here if CC hadn't had problems, but I'm glad I got to posting. EB is a good site. I believe Ben meant that it's a newer site, so it's not as well known yet. But that will change, you have a good site here, very friendly and with a lot to offer. Lugnet has gotten bogged down with infighting, off-topic nonsense, overt sensitivity, etc. Josh

Roaring Roadsters + Mythical Creatures @S@H in USA
JoshW replied to Mithrandir's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
That mythical creatures set looks awesome. Definitely will be getting that... Josh -
I'm going to guess "H" A famous Danish author. No reason really, she just looks literary to me... Josh

Here is my son's cog, known as the Wolf. He built it for the Colossal Castle Contest (entered under my name): Josh

I live in the US and I saw some of the books in stores here. I've never seen them in the big chain stores but the small independent stores often stock things like this. The best way is the to use the catalog. On the category scroll bar, run down close to the bottom and there will be a section for books. There are seven different categories though, so it takes some digging to find a particular book. The Mummy one was under puzzle books and the Castle book is in the learning section. Hope this helps, Josh

Hey Dillon, I just realized that the Robin Hood book I have is the same one that inspired your MOC. Its been a while since I read it and, not remembering the Roman tower bit, I wanted to reread that part. Can you tell me where in the book, it mentions this? I don't feel like reading the whole thing over right now, I just want to compare the MOC to the original description. ;-) Josh PS. Who illustrated your copy? The illustrator in mine is Frank Godwin

Excellent MOC! A lot of "ruins" in MOCs just look like a pile of bricks but this tower is perfect. The tree is good and the landscaping is very realistic. One question, before the tower was a ruin, how did people get into it? Josh
-
Yes, it has the same sorts of images. I have "Castle Under Attack" and it says it was released in 2000. Josh

Darkie! I didn't know you were a member here, its great to see you! Josh

I like the color scheme a lot. He looks quite formidable. Josh

Looks good, Enigma. The tree is well built, can't wait to see the whole tree when the gallery goes public. Josh

What would you want a new special month to be?
JoshW replied to vahkimetru's topic in Forum Information and Help
I'm new here so I don't know what a special month is all about. So...what is a special month? Josh -
Thanks, I appreciate that. :-) Josh

Well, they're gone now. Any description you can give us? Josh

That is really wierd. I have gotten mismolded pieces before, but not an entirely different piece. Josh

That's a great review! I have become an Exo-Force fan, almost against my will. But, dang it, they such great sets. I really like the hands on this one (same as in the Gate Assault set). I may have to hunt around for this one, as my local TRU was one they closed. >:-( Josh

Welcome, Scnicker! Slobey nailed it on the head so I won't run off at the mouth. But EB has been very welcoming and we set up a little refugee tent city. Josh

Hey, I'm a father and my pics of my sons MOCs are crystal clear. :-P I was also wondering why it was the Black Parrot and not the Brown Monkey, but I decided the ship must be in disguise. Josh PS. This brings up something I was wondering. Are you only supposed to post MOCs in the Your Own Creations forum or in the forum relating the your MOC?

The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly
JoshW replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Well, I missed the poll but the results are interesting. I, too, am surprised that Johnny won. Sounds like a cool poll, I'd love to see another. cool, so its not just me !!!so, is this statement true for the same reasons i suggested in my above post ??? Nope, its not just you. I am an obsessed rare piece collector. I agree with your reasons and I'm sure Lego does too. I don't think its any coincidence that the rarest figs have been coming in the most expensive sets, do you? Josh -
I saw it in a local toy store a long time ago. I haven't read it, but I seem to remember that I thumbed through it. I own one of the castle ones (makes sense, huh?) but not this one. I looked around and found the bricklink page for it. There is one on there right now. It s $5 US but I don't know how that compares with the price in the Ebay auction. Are you thinking of getting it? Josh
-
Thanks, Ben, that is good to hear. I didn't think the site was closing but it did catch me by surprise since we haven't had problems for so long. I guess it was just our turn. Take care, Josh
-
Now that is pretty sweet. I have most of the Exo-Force sets so far, and I am definitely going to get this one. Thanks for the pics! Josh
