  1. Yes, sir. We've marked all of our prank posts on TBB with "[April Fool's]" as well. Ace's temporary promotion to contributor has also been revoked. All has returned to normal....except for that armored car. Probably will never see that gold bullion again.... Josh
  2. But we already sent an armored truck full of gold bullion from the TBB vaults over to Ace's house! Is he going to return it?! Josh
  3. Glad I could help! Take care, Josh
  4. Not sure who I should tell about this, but there are two errors in the front page post regarding the Saloon. The builder is "Bluesecrets", with an 's', not "Bluesecret". Also, she is a woman. It says "his" in there. Thanks, Josh
  5. You're a freak, Mark! (And I mean that in the nicest possible way. ;) This cracked me up. The dreaded Walrus Wedgie will be the thing of nightmares for many nights to come.... Blogged it. ;) Josh
  6. You are very welcome. Its really my pleasure. Since we are just a blog, we don't post very many of our policies publicly. A forum requires a lot more...administration. TBB only has a handful of people who can post, so the policies are best discussed and dispersed via email. When it comes right down to it, TBB is merely a news source. Our policies aren't really newsworthy. ;) As for each website and forum having their own bouquet and flavor, I entirely agree! I often hear debates over which AFOL site or convention is "best". Those discussions always make me laugh, as its so subjective. Its all about what each person prefers. "Best" is impossible to determine. Take care, Josh
  7. Hey All, You all don't know me very well, as I'm not here much, but I'm the guy who interviewed Mark. I appreciate all the comments about the interview. It was fun to talk with him and exchange ideas. Thank you for this comment. Its a good question. The answer is two-fold. The issue of EB's history was actually the reason for the interview. Mark and I met at BrickCon in Seattle and we talked quite a bit about the forums that we are involved in (I am also an Admin at Classic-Castle). I was excited to hear about the new direction that EB was taking and I wanted other people to hear about it. That is why I asked Mark if I could interview him for TBB. The issue is a big one for many people who aren't members here and I was wanting to help change the poor perception of EB among many people in the AFOL community. I know for a fact that many people had no idea that EB had changed its policies. Regarding the posting of leaked Power Miners pics on TBB, we had never had a policy regarding leaks. We do now and we will not be posting them in the future. Why were they not taken down? That's a long, boring story. The end result was that the pics stayed up, but we won't be posting anymore. Personally, I'm glad that we aren't. Leaked pics are a very volatile thing. So, anyway, I hope this answers your questions. If not, please feel free to ask me more questions. I'll do my best to answer them. Take care, Josh
  8. Hey All, Looks like a fun contest! Here's my entry: The infamous outlaw Skinny Bob, astride his trusty steed, Bonespur! Josh
  9. From conversations that I had a Brickfest, I understand that both Knights Kingdom 2 and the Viking line are being discontinued. This is because the new Castle line has elements of both. Josh
  10. Hey All, Thanks for the great comments! The tower measures 47 inches high, from baseplate to top of the flag. Unfortunately, the interior is really ugly, just multicolored supports for the weight. It was built for public display (at Brickfest) so I didn't bother with any interior. Sir Dillon, that was me in the "Andrew's Minion" shirt. It was one of the shirts I had made up for The Brothers Brick. Calvin, its funny that you should say that about the shields looking like the SS insignia. A friend of mine at Brickfest, pointed out the same thing. Its rather odd, but you are right. It does look like that. :-/ Thanks again for the comments, Josh
  11. Hey All, Here is something I took to Brickfest. I meant to post this here some time ago, but totally forgot. Anyway, here it is, I hope you like it! (pic=link) Let me know what you think. Comments and criticism are always welcome. It was built specifically for Brickfest, but I will most likely take it to NWBrickCon as well. Josh
  12. Hey Nathan, thanks for the backup...I'd forgotten about the tub. :-) I only picked the Wayne Manor one because it is the most recent. Sure the 3D effect is more difficult but its not impossible. In fact, it isn't really that hard, just takes time. Back on topic, if this set really ends up looking like this, I will definitely buy it...it just seems strange. Josh
  13. While I am fairly sure this is a real set now, there have been fake pics out there. I have seen quite a number of fake box art pics. Granted, the vast majority of them aren't trying to pass them off as the real thing, but they could. Here is one example, made up for the Wayne Manor contest. It would make sense, if that is what it is. Still seems like a strange set to me...I am going to withhold judgement until it is avaliable to buy. It is screaming "prototype pics" to me. But, hey, I've been wrong before. Josh
  14. The cliff is well done. One question though...if the Viking is landing in a new world, who built the dock? Just a thought... Josh
  15. Having finally convinced the Council to change the Jedi uniform, Luke begins training his new apprentice.
  16. I, for one, am a bit skeptical about this. It seems really odd that it has old heraldry, etc. The baseplate is what really makes me wonder. The printing on that plate is the printing used for 6091 and Lego has yet to reuse printing on that particular plate. The whole thing seems rather fishy to me. It could be an early prototype picture, but it still seems odd. The box art doesn't convince me, since we have seen faked box art before. I guess we will have to wait and see... Josh
  17. Nathan, that is awesome. Cracked me up! I don't remember seeing this, has it been posted before? I know why you used the clear antennae, but it gives it a particularly disgusting look. :-X I like it, well done! Josh PS. Lancelot should go have a doctor check him out. I think he has released more than half his own body weight in...um...fecal matter down there.
  18. My pleasure, sir! :-)
  19. If you click on the price guide in that link, it shows that it last sold for $5 US. Josh
  20. Here is one CC refugee chiming in. Castle for me, baby! Pirates are cool, but not as cool as Castle. :-) Josh
  21. Hey Nathan, I am really enjoying your set reviews, thank you! I don't have this set so I don't have a whole lot to say about it. :-) Josh
  22. The owner of piratebricks is a member of CC. His username is castlebrickman and webtechie is his brother. I looked up his profile and it lists an email address but it is the one previously mentioned. I know the site went down before because he didn't pay his provider, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case now too. He was getting server space free from his brother but something happened with that and he had to start paying. Here is a CC thread where he talked about it. Josh (DreadPirateRoberts on Piratebricks)
  23. Dang it, you found me out! Hearing typed text is my super power. Don't tell anyone, okay? I have not seen any printed out versions of Anthony's pirate torsos. A number of people have used his custom factions (Silvan Moon, etc.), and I modified one of his forestmen for a custom fig I made, but I haven't seen the pirates used yet. Josh
  24. I am not a Spongebob fan (several friends of mine are), but these sets are very well done. And they have a great parts selection. That snail thing is very impressive and it has green cherries too! I probably will be getting some of these just for the pieces. Bob's house just screams, "orange parts pack!" to me. Josh
  25. Thanks for all the comments! They are most appreciated... Josh
