  1. By size categories, I meant "canister" size (below 12 in.) and "titan" size (above 12 in.). The henchman category would be changed to the "titan" category and the villain category would be changed to the "canister" category. All the entries that are currently in these two topics would fit right in there with no problem. The current categories, however, would axe about a third of the entries, which is really bad considering that there are less than 10 for each one. Villain stereotypes or not, if Hero Factory doesn't follow them to a full extent, why should this contest?
  2. I just re-read the parts about the Henchman/Villain differences, and really, can we have size categories for them instead? I don't think that all henchman have to be large, dumb robots and that villains don't have to be small and intelligent. This applies to Von Nebula (large and intelligent) and Thunder (small but dumb). Not to mention that this requirement would slice out quite a few entries.
  3. Moonshiner The Moonshiner is a vehicle that has both strength and speed, a deadly combination. Originally an incomplete prototype vehicle for Alpha Team leader Preston Stormer, it was stolen by Von Nebula before it was finished. Von Nebula (who decided to add in an extra Meteor Bazooka) gave this vehicle to Bleu as a private transport. The vehicle can levitate and fly across land and space, as well as ram through anything from a Dropship to a Starship with deadly speed and force. However, since it was never completed, the ship's speeds were never regulated to stop at a certain limit. At maximum power, the vehicle will go so fast that both it and the pilot disintegrate into dust. Great for kamikaze attacks (except you won't die as often)! Topic
  4. Soot Stiletto Stiletto was once an operator at the Hero Factory call center. However, her programming had a malfunction in it that made her crave excitement, sharply contrasting with the programming of the other operators. Unfortunately, before this malfunction was ever repaired, Stiletto managed to escape the Hero Tower. Upgrading herself from trades in the Galactic Black Market, she would take on a new profession: an assassin who only works for pay. Stiletto, unlike other villains, prefers finesse, speed, precision, and silence over flashy forward attacks. Her black coating adds an extra layer of stealth to her being. If you can get past her tentacle daggers, get ready for those giant swords(As large as they are, they will quickly slice through you without a sound). Topic
  5. Torchur Torchur is your stereotypical villain, a subordinate of Von Nebula. He's mean, explosive, powerful, and isn't afraid to use force to get what he wants. Armed with twin hammer hands, this evil bot will smash right through you. Although he wasn't as notorious as his clone, he's still one of the most feared bots in the galaxy. Best "friends" (as in they don't get in fights as much as the other villains) with Thunder. Topic
  6. Gallery Before the time of Von Nebula, Bleu was the most dangerous threat; a powerful space pirate commander. Controlling entire fleets of starships, Bleu and his warriors managed to conquer over a third of the galaxy. He was determined to crush Hero Factory and unite the entire galaxy under his rule, then focus on the other galaxies... Unfortunately, Bleu was defeated at the Battle of Balakhast 5, where his entire fleet was eaten by a black hole monster (not Von Nebula's work, the Black Hole was around a trillion times more powerful than that). Bleu was the only survivor, a beaten and broken bot. Hero Factory, which admired him to some extent, took pity on him exiled him to the comfortable planet of Klex at the edge of the galaxy (even letting he in charge of it). But that was not enough for Bleu, for he promised to return to power... 100 galactic light years later, Klex was taken over by the forces of Von Nebula. Nebula, who knew of Bleu's notorious past reputation, decided to offer him a powerful army if he helped aid his cause. Bleu agreed, wanting to take revenge on Hero Factory. However, he knew that by doing this, he would become nothing higher than Nebula's subordinate. Sure, he'll help Nebula and his cause. But once Nebula achieves his goal and becomes the Galactic Emporer, Bleu swore that he would annihilate him. Thus, Bleu would come to power with even more power than before. It was the perfect plan. Gallery Bleu is not much of a fighter, due to his short stature (he likes to wear large helmets to make himself feel taller). His body was that of an ancient Hero Factory Hero design, one of the first generations. Before it was disposed of, however, an unknown virus (rumored to have been originated from a Earth history CD-Rom)took over the body and escaped with it. Thus, Bleu was born. A charismatic, dashing, and inspirational leader, Bleu quickly won the hearts (or whatever oil-pumping device) of bots all across the galaxy. His manners and etiquette made him truly stand out from others at the time. Using his support, Bleu would build a powerful fleet that would make himself one of the most notorious villains of the time... If you can't tell by now, the first part of Bleu's story was based on Napoleon Bonaparte's life. I also made Bleu himself try to look very Napoleon like. Heck, the original name for Bleu was Bonaparte, but I was afraid that some people might've found that offensive (same reason why the vehicle is named Moonshiner instead of Moonshine). The bike was the first thing that I built for the contest, but unfortunately, the pictures turned out making it look horribly cluttered. Hopefully I shall be able to retake pictures once I get my new camera. The bike is a foot long, by the way. Some of you may argue that it looks too heroic, but then again, it was once a Hero Factory prototype (and making it more cluttered with villain chains and the like did not make the MOC look better). Yes I spent way too much time on the story.
  7. Or woman in this case. Gallery Stiletto was once an operator at the Hero Factory call center. Another quick MOC, but it turned out better than I expected. Too bad if you don't like the heels. Some of you may argue that there's too much system on this MOC, however, it was necessary to get the smooth feel across. The Heroes aren't the only ones who can be smooth.

This was a quick MOC, and I wouldn't consider it much better than the original, but it was a fun build nonetheless.
  9. Anyone seen these prototypes yet?
  10. Stiffest competition in this contest yet, bro. Love how you tried to get the ongoing harnessing rod theme. I love these. I love Archer's torso, his bow, his colourscheme, his posing, and so much more. My biggest gripe with him, however, are the limbs. They're short and disproportionate to the rest of the MOC, and some of the techniques (joint-hands?) do not look good. The hot rod is very cool, but I can't help but notice that the entire core of it is system. I'm usually a big supporter of system usage on Bionicle/Technic parts, but putting some Bionicle over a mostly system structure really makes it feel like another system theme instead of Hero Factory. You're going to lose votes for this, unfortunately. Disregarding contest fitting, I really dig the shapes on the hot rod. The only part I don't like at all is that tiny windshield. Heck, this thing doesn't even need a windshield. I'm curious though, how much modification to Archer did you have to do to get him to fit the vehicle? Best of luck in the contest.
  11. Please tell me that the contest doesn't end today in eastern time. I'd really hate having to wake up at 6 AM. Can I call for a deadline extension? There are still very few entries so far.
  12. Just wondering, but will a sleek/smooth blackout assassin be counted as a "dangerous" idea? Also, are we allowed to post topics for our entries (since no one else has done it so far).
  13. Metal Termite Microscopic creatures created by Von Nebula to eat through anything in their path, whether it be Heroes or their machinery. Only Nebula's most intelligent servants are capable of using this.
  14. Ouch. Sounds like you guys have those horrible 1st/2nd wave Neo-Shifters. They fall apart like crazy, I've heard. I have 2 Shifters from the 3rd (arguably best wave, in terms of quality and individual design differences. I reeaally need to get that review up), and I can honestly say that I had more fun playing with them than any canister-sized Bionicle set. Ever. Oh, and the Bohrok are even more clone-ish than the Shifters (2 waves of only 6 different molds total, applies to Kal), so I don't see why anyone is complaining about that.
  15. All 3 points for no. 12. So dynamic!
  16. All 3 puntos to #29.
  17. Robo-firefighters.
  18. Am I allowed to re-post an old, already published MOC for one of the entries (Nuju Metru did it, so..)?

Thanks for the comments, everyone, however, I just wanted to add: It seems that people are having a hard time understanding this. This is a space slug. Those tentacles with the red tips are eyes. The black guns are not arms. The real "arms" are where the "leg" are supposed to be (protruding out of the engines). And the wings are just retarded positioning (I might have to retake a picture later on). This should answer your question,Cheburashka.

Insect-like biomechanical alien mech. The armor is grafted onto the giant alien organism. It is piloted by a smaller N'trite alien pilot. For Mecha Hub Alien contest on Flickr. I really like how this turned out, but there were a lot of parts I had to rush (such as the back), making the design a bit unstable. I hate the stand too, but nothing else could support it. The green stuff is the skin/gills, by the way. Gallery
  21. The man speaks truth. Unless you got one of the worst packaging errors of all time.
  22. Pictures? We don't even have the names yet. Hopefully leaks will be out of order this year.
  23. I wouldn't mind gears if they blend in or even help the aesthetics, like the Bohrok.
  24. Found the first, am eagerly awaiting the rest. Good luck to all EB members participating in this hunt.
  25. Nice review. I never got any Metru, but I did get a Hagah (Iruini), and it remains my favorite Toa set to this day. Oh, and the Exo-Toa isn't an Exo-Force set, it's this:
