2011 NINJAGO sets
The Green Brick Giant replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
This theme is insane. I doubt I'll buy any, but I really have no clue what LEGO was thinknig when they made this, it's nuts. -
Review: 30071 Toy Story 3 Mini Jeep
The Green Brick Giant replied to Solscud007's topic in LEGO Licensed
It's not an army biulder at all. Just buy the $11 set, you get four different minifigures and a much better jeep. -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 poll
The Green Brick Giant replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I voted for the tennis player. New pieces, new hair, awesome outfit, a win in my book. -
We get "battle packs" because LEGO can't just sell one minifigure as a set. Star Wars sells well, but not only that, you are getting 4 of the same minifigures in a lot of the Star Wars battle packs, so that saves on money too being mass produced. I do agree that there should be two minifigures in the set, one for the truck and one to test the rocket. More so because the set most likely only have 176 pieces and is $20.

I haven't stopped by a Target since their release. But if I am I'll buy two, a big if I can find them, just because I want the printed eyes. However @$$hole AFOLs buy all them and then sell them for $10 instead of letting everyone else stand in the joy.

REVIEW Castle 7097 - Trolls' Mountain Fortress
The Green Brick Giant replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I read about the sale and am really disappointed that it's not $50. A few years ago the Fantasy Caste set was $50 at Walmart and Target had $50 sets on Black Friday too. Now Target will have this set, long discontinues and it's only 35% off? -
The clone brands discussion...again
The Green Brick Giant replied to Superkalle's topic in General LEGO Discussion
But who really cares what the "AFOL community" at large does. If someone wants to use a Mega Blok piece and it makes the set look better than more power to them. If the community doesn't like it then whatever, it's not their MOC. -
The clone brands discussion...again
The Green Brick Giant replied to Superkalle's topic in General LEGO Discussion
My problem with Mega Bloks is that they suck. They don't connect correctly and just are useless "building blocks". However with LEGOs quality recently the difference between the brands is shrinking. I have no problems with clone brands, I have a few from another company that I kept because LEGO doesn't make the piece. If the helps you build a MOC better than who cares what brand it is. Those lamp posts look really nice. -
Oh I misread that. Still odd that they brought it up being that only one set, the lunar lander, even had minifigures in 2003 sets.

Besides the Toy Story set, there hasn't been another set that had that piece in 15 years. It was a great classic Space piece, so it's good to see it's return.

new holiday sets at Target
The Green Brick Giant replied to prozac's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Different stores are selling the sets at different prices ranging from $3 to $4. Some have all the sets for $4, one will have the the X-Wing at $3 and the boat at $3.50. It's very odd. $3 I'll buy the boat if I can find it, anything more and I will not. -
The shuttle with the new nose piece looks even worse, but the buggy is nice. It was rumored to be $40, so it most likely will be 30pounds. I find it odd that the City NASA sets will not have minifigures, why doesn't LEGO just make a NASA line?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
The Green Brick Giant replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the picture! That is really neat! I kind of like that better because you have a 1 in 8 chance and not 1 in 16, however you can't feel what you are getting. Live the set up though. -
It looks better now, it looks to be the best City Space set. However I thought the price was supposed to be $16-$17 like the Camper, $20 is really high for a van.

new holiday sets at Target
The Green Brick Giant replied to prozac's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
It's adorable! http://www.flickr.com/photos/toysnbricks/5144350861/ It's "free"* so no one can complain. *You have to put at least $5 on the giftcard. -
new holiday sets at Target
The Green Brick Giant replied to prozac's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I heard rumours of the speed boat being $4 which I think is insane. What exactly is the "set" that comes with the giftcard? -
My bad, I misread what was going on. I thought we were talking about the last NASA theme, Discovery because someone posted the old pictures. To me that is the NASA theme and next year is just Space shoved into City. LEGO should have made the City Space sets just NASA sets.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
The Green Brick Giant replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That would be smart, but I don't think LEGO is. I think there will be four series next year. LEGO still hasn't sold out of all the series 2 minifigures online year in the USA, so at least they made enough for this series, unlike series 1 which was a joke. I'm hoping with more series we will get more seasonal minifigures, like an Easter Bunny for series 4 and a minifigure with a rake in the fall. -

Pharaoh's Quest 2011
The Green Brick Giant replied to Fugazi's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Not since LEGO has opened up their own stores, now those stores gets the sets weeks and weeks earlier. TRU will have PQ out on December 26th because they always get the new sets out then for the last several years. -

2011 Atlantis sets
The Green Brick Giant replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I bought 30042 at Target USA for $3, neat little set, my first Atlantis set. I love the minifigure, however he is very close to the propeller. -
Pharaoh's Quest 2011
The Green Brick Giant replied to Fugazi's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
In recent years January is a big month too as many people go out and spend gift cards and Christmas cash, but yeah, right before Christmas makes the most sense so you get a good ammount on the shelves after Christmas and some before. -
I have been hoping for awhile that LEGO would make a theme just called "Space" where it's like the City theme, but in space. Start with Space Police and then have fire and rescue, some "houses" and such. But that will never happen.
