I really like the color scheme and those decals are excellent.

There sure seems to be a Western fad spreading across Eurobricks the past days. The 'Shop' sign is great, as is the wooden plank look of the building (with dark and regular tan combined). Sand-green is great for the cactus. Really well done Etzel!

Final Minifig thoughts on Pirates '09 (includes 10210)

Hmm, not so sure about that, maybe they're testing the market in Australia to get an idea of production numbers when it gets released worldwide. That helicopter looks pretty darn good by the way. Better than the pictures suggest. Limo is kinda out of proportion (too narrow for it's length), ideally it would be 5-wide I guess.

I don't think cheese slopes longer than - say - 1 x 4 would be sturdy enough. I have a feeling they might bend too much or break easily.

Looks like you're on a roll ISC. Nice scene! The slanted rock formation is indeed a nice touch. The little scene you depicted are really funny: the guy taking a shower, the gun fight, the guys looking for gold... Oh, and a nice wooden wheelbarrow.
-
Agreed, much better than the one in the City garage set.
-
'Cute' is the first word that comes to mind. The color scheme is really nice. The back just looks unfinished with those two studs exposed in between the tail lights.

Nice van Ricecracker, with some interesting SNOT techniques around the wheel arches and the windows. The wheel size is a nice choice as well (the rear wheel doesn't seem centered under the rear wheel arch, but I guess that's just the picture, right?). Oh, and congratulations on your Town Boy tag

Old Vs. New weapons, is there any difference in color or material?
Rick replied to B-Lister's topic in LEGO Pirates
They are listed as seperate colors. Pistol: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2562 (old: brown; new: reddish brown) Cutlass: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=2530 (old: dark gray; new: dark bluish gray) -

The pistols have gone from (old) brown to (new) reddish brown. The grays have changed as well, so the cutlasses also aren't the same color anymore. Furthermore, the material of the new cutlasses appears a little 'softer' than the old ones. -
What are your Top 3 Favorite Elements from the 2009 Pirate Wave

Indeed the biggest mistake of that otherwise pretty nice looking little island base plate. I would have bought two if they had a straight back. -

The telescope piece was indeed a nice addition to the piece assortment of TLG. The governor's torso is incredibly detailed and the dark blue is a great color that goes really well with the gold print. I wouldn't know a third piece that really stands out (the old unprinted shako was already fine with me), but the color scheme of the 2009 line in general is really good. Lots of dark-red, dark-blue, dark-brown, and gold. -
Judging from the pictures, that's about the off-white I was talking about earlier that I've had with small tiles.
-
I've had that with some small white tiles, which were a little off-white (creamy). It's a quality/color consistency issue I'm afraid.
-
I like the mix that TLG uses in their official sets. Fully tiled gives a really finished look, but it also takes away from the 'Lego look' of a MOC.

Ah... Good, so I pointed her to the right thread (the EB Ladies thread).

[MOPoster]: Escape From Chinese Plastic

Well said 'Inky' and a nice build. Now this is just a tad too big to go in my signature. -
Welcome to EB! If you like pink, look here. edit: hey Iz, now that I read the opening post again: where do you actually read (s)he is female?

You mean all those colors in between 'solid' and 'transparent'. And don't forget glow-in-the-dark yellow. And those color numbers look like completely random numbers. I always find it hard to exactly match up the on-screen colors with the real brick colors. But I'm sure it won't be long before someone replicates this chart using real Lego bricks (someone with a big collection and a color fetish, any candidates?) and someone who matches this color list with Bricklink/Peeron colors.

A really nice ship Zuloo, nice addition to the bluecoat fleet. I like the color scheme: the blue and yellow, the tan deck... And a really entertaining read with all those Pirates big shots being forced to work aboard your ship.

You should probably start by stacking it with Duplo bricks, because regular Lego bricks won't fit on solid Duplo studs that are on Duplo baseplates. The tubes of regular bricks fit on hollow Duplo studs (of regular Duplo bricks) though.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures General Discussion

I too didn't notice them at first, because I was under the impression that they were on the forearm. They are however close to the turning point of the arm, so you only see them vaguely with figs that have their arms up (like the clown and the crash test dummy). Have to say, I'm starting to get worried too... like others: if they're 'cheap' it will certainly influence my extent of enthusiasm about these. (I better keep 'SCCP' in my signature for a while longer... ) -
It's a S@H and Lego Store exclusive. So you (likely) won't find it in regular toy shops.

The cab looks nice. What I don't like about it is the grill tiles that are sticking out too far. Furthermore, ideally you'd want to attach the front to the window, now it leaves a gap on top. The cheese slope technique is pretty nice, JBartosch uses this a lot too. However, in many countries a ladder/engine combination (I think you're suggesting it has a pump, because of the in/outlets on the side of the vehicle) isn't really the most common vehicle.
