  1. It's one of the cheapest Dutch web shops with prices around 20% under S@H prices.
  2. You and detective Quinn were pretty good at it... better than the Senator anyway.
  3. From the original Dutch description ('man in veiligheidspak') it sounds more like the latter indeed.
  4. I think the idea is that you buy this set as an add-on to the bigger train sets, that always include a full loop already. So, the typical train collector has more than enough curves from the train sets. I was looking to buy some straight track to run my Public Transportation Center tram on, so this definitely is welcome.
  5. While it's not really my favorite design, that feature definitely stands out and it certainly is a nice development that TLG will make odd studs widths where appropriate (and not too costly presumably).

    MOC: Two houses

Nice realistic looking buildings. I like how you've integrated two buildings on a standard corner modular layout.
  7. That helmet in light-bluish gray has so far only appeared in the Vintage Minifigures Collection Volume 4.
  8. Agreed. Thanks. Want a beer?
  9. I was replying to someone who thought it was a new piece and meant to indicate that it's been around for quite some time, ... and still is.
  10. That piece is ancient.
  11. Congratulations, we have some well-deserved winners. That's a clear result. No close calls this time.
  12. Looks like I clicked through to my favorite entry from the 'winners'-thread and accidentally posted my congratulations here.
  13. You're right, I measured them... That said, the gorilla mask mold looks great.
  14. Congratulations winners. Certainly well-deserved.
  15. Also, TLG has been keeping up it's own building instructions library for a few years already. Shortly after sets are released (and in the past sometimes even before they were released ) the PDFs are online. Also, Brickset links to these instructions for every set.
  16. Great name Also it seems like the gorilla has long arms after all (if you compare them to the 'rapper' immediately below).
  17. Just in time to save you from becoming an Archdork Seriously: congratulations Big Cam.
  18. If I recall correctly they had plans to replace it, but at first glance this does look an awful lot like good ol' trans-smoke.
  19. True, as I said before, even the official modulars are scaled down versions and I don't mind the scale issues that much as long as the buildings look well-proportioned and somewhat match the scale of the rest of a layout. Scaling-down is necessary to even be able to represent it in bricks most of the time. Therefore, in the end it just comes down to personal preferences regarding the resulting scale I guess. Agreed, but in a way I'm glad they didn't because it means I don't have to buy it. Personally, I'm really happy with that choice 'cause I like the atmosphere it brings about. The Fire Brigade was clearly inspired by U.S. (New York) architecture though. I don't mind mixing them up at all. They still look fine next to each other.
  20. I think even TLG's scale for the Modulars is a little too small sometimes, so while I'd prefer scale over scope (but I already see some disagreement in this topic), this building looks simply awesome BrickMiner. It's definitely an eye-catcher in your layout. I really like how you've captured the architectural details of the high-rise buildings in the U.S. I also like the little square/park scene you've set up next too it.
  21. I really like the color scheme and the architectural details of the building. However, I always feel minifigs, interiors, little scenes set up around it add maybe as much as half to the overall look. Are you planning to 'populate' your buildings?
  22. I think Fellows are limited to 6 tags. But that requires some combining of tags, because there technically only is room for 3 tags plus a country flag. So, get image editing.
  23. Number 4 of course... Duplotastic Ghost for me please. Thank you uncle Shadows.
  24. Hmmm, what would boys be watching when their mother isn't home...
  25. Seems awfully premature, because as the rules state: ... and we (at least I) have no clue just exactly how many scum players are left. I don't see why having a Godfather in a family is essential (unless you may know more, which in my view you shouldn't share after death). And even if the killer role would not pass on (anymore), a single scum can still win by manipulating the townies to vote for themselves, siding with a neutral player, etc. (I don't intend to refer specifically to this game in any way, just in general).
