I saw this too on another website. Im kinda amped for this, even though its about 8 years away. Yeah some parts of the prequel trilogy were bad but overall it was pretty good in my opinion. If George does devote his time to this to figure the story out, get great, fresh and talented actors to play the parts then this will be a big hit like the originals. If he treats these as a whole new thing then it may work, or that will be its downfall. Having no real connections could make it new and exciting or it could not appeal to people and fans of the OT. To be honest, I dont care if he breaks the EU timeline. The Star Wars universe has every little gap filled in with something some one has written. He also cant just rehash the Thrawn Trilogy either, that's just not right. I look at the universe this way, I look at the movies first and foremost, then the other project (CW, Holiday), then the video games (Jedi Knight, Force Unleashed etc) and then finally all the books and comics. This way the books can be seen as extras not necessities to the Saga. It fills in the gaps that someone else thought that need filling, not George Lucas. With the amount of books, everything overlaps and sometimes things will get overlooked because when you start choosing pieces of info to include in a character like say, Aurra Sing, then you have to include all the back story to her. This can also overlap causing just a big mess. This is why I dont really care for EU that much.

Happy Birthday my dear Hinckley and Corvus! Hope you guys have a terrific day! And also Corvus can you fill me in about the new name? What's it all about?

Cool! THe minifigs look really nice, some great head and body printing going on in Billund! The ship looks nice but kinda smaller that what I thought it would be. Thanks for the pictures!

Hmm I think manscaping means something different in the UK than what it does in New Zealand Its a nice little vig, the body builders seem very hard at work. One of the main downsides I see to the collectables is that they are all the same. But I dont think theycan do anything about that really so I only buy one. A great vig Peppermint!

Wow the bomb squad troopers look mighty impressive! The leg printing is great and it even has the little toe printing on the shoe! Now thats some good quality! We got ewoks in 2009...

Haha Lego really doesnt have an age though I dont think Kmart is having a sale on Lego but I havent been there in a while. New Lego comes out in January (later in the month) and July / August. Two Waves a year.

Seems like you have had a pretty nice haul so far! I really need to buy another set soon cause I havent had one in ages! Well im 16, some of us are around that age but others are older. I think thats just something you get over really. If you really dont like it go at a time where there isnt a lot of people around like in the morning or later in the night. That way is really only the staff you have to deal with it and there are no kids around. Or just buy online The Kmart in the past year or so has had sets about $10-$20 lower. Then you add a 20% off sale on top of that and you can get some pretty good deals.

Yeah so Am I. I like the halo cause its a nice design and rocking 3 new minifigs! All of them are bounty hunters which we really dont see enough. The Jedi shuttle I wont be getting, and thats good cause I guess it will be the most expensive one. I cant justify just getting it for Shaak Ti and Saesee when I would be wasting my money on a ugly ship with Anakin and Obi Wan in there as well. I may be swayed by a great review on here though

Hey Toye welcome to EB! Well I think Toyworld usually has the best range out of all the places that have lego. Kmart usually has Lego sets under RRP but The Warehouse and Farmers usually have the best sales. I live in Hamilton and I always check K Mart and Toyworld to see if they have any sales or good bargains happening when Im shopping around. So what part of NZ do you live in?

Wow this topic does really grow from useless banter to super cool pics in a day! The sets are looking pretty good, there are a few that I thought I wasn't going to get but now im considering them. The Battle of Naboo looks great! Cool new Gun Gans and heaps of BDs which is always a nice inclusion. The ship looks alright to me but seems to have some good features. The Battle of Geonosis looks great! This is probably going to be a must buys for me at this stage. Ive always wanted a Rex minifig and Luminara is a cool inclusion. Her double sided head should be cool as well. I just hope this isnt too expensive in NZ. Was this set originally going to be in the first 2011 wave? Or was it in the second one? Or was it not even included in the list we have been given?

No it doesnt need it. I used mine with a standard non-HD TV for about 2 months before we upgraded to an HD TV. It works fine but when you first start it up on an HD TV it really does blow you away. But it stills looks fine on an SD TV as well.

Yeah I agree with Big Cam here. Its a nice room, for something in Town but it doesnt feel star wars-y to me. It is funny though even if it is a bit crude.

Cool feature guys! So does this one change also include a change back to your original user name? So say if I was to join in smurf or muppet mania and changed my name, will I be stuck with that stupid name that only relates to a few days of silliness or will I get to change you guys be ever so kind as to change my name back to my usual?

Toyworld, Farmers and The Warehouse all have 20% off Lego minimum. Toyworld has a few sets above 20% off but not too many and they are sets that they want to just get rid of like Indy sets and the TIE defender which was $69

No what I was talking about was when you put a bookmark on your homescreen some websites put their logo on it instead of the default which is just the page in the little square. So EB doesn't have this so I was asking if this could be done to make it look nicer on my homescreen. Sorry for confusion.
-
Great thanks heaps Siegfried! You guys are the bestest.

Hey guys, As an iPhone users that visits this site every day from it, what is lacking from this experience is the home screen app-like button doesnt have a dedicated icon. This doesnt need to be flashy just the usual EB logo in the rounded square 64 x 64 pixels (I think ) If someone could add this to the site I would be so greatful. Thanks for listening.

Sounds good Zepher take your time. I cant wait to see what has happened overnight! Also have fun with your production!
-
I have noticed that when you go to the next page in the separate themes, when you go to the next page it takes you to the pages showing all the sets instead of taking you to the next page in the separate theme.
-
WOW This is really going to be useful when its all completed and fully up to date. Now the only problem is filling in the gaps where there are no reviews yet! Then it would be the best place on the whole wide web!
-
They are so !
-
No! That's mrlegoninja's cake! Bad Big Cam! Happy birthday! Sounds like you got two great sets!
-
ugh. Fine Sieggy. Great work Shadows and Hinck! P.S. Are you happy now?

Yeah but you cant expect the dark lord of the sith to be a crap fighter. He was the true master and more powerful than all of them put together so I really have no quibbles with the scene. Then he says, "Unlimited power!" so I guess the power also can refer to his sword fighting skills and his force powers. To reply to the question, my favourite jedi is Obi-Wan but my second is Mace Windu. His purple lightsabre is so badass! Also, he's the most powerful jedi only second to Yoda and most of the time he seems really pissed about something so hes really cool imo.
