  3. Hello Mainee, and welcome to Eurobricks! Even though it took you along time to find EB, you're more than welcome here my friend. Enjoy the forums here.
  4. Welcome to Eurobricks Flare! I hope you enjoy it in here.
  5. Nice MOC 'Eskallon'! Though I'm not that familiar with the game, the fight scenes are interesting. Too bad you missed the deadline.
  6. The Lightning Squadron was an elite cavalry unit that was part of the 91st Reconnaisance Corps of the Grand Army of the Republic. The unit was established at the start of the Clone Wars to handle special recon missions. Lightning Squadron consisted of ARF Troopers specially trained to operate AT-RTs. Under the command of General Mace Windu and Commander CC-0411 (Ponds), it participated in the Battle of Ryloth. The unit greatly helped in the liberation of the world from Emir Wat Tambor. Lightning Squadron was a division of Windu's force during the offensive to free Ryloth's capital. This is one of my first MOCs that has been sitting in my shelf for quite a while now, and I would like to share it to you guys. The main idea of this project is to transform TLG’s hideous 8014 Walker into more realistic AT-RT walkers for my clone army. After several modifications, I came up with the final design below. The significant modifications I made were: - Convert to a single-seater walker (with the proper bike handle bars) - Modified front panels to resemble the real AT-RT - Tridacyl feet - Twin front blasters - Double rear communication antenna The design is essentially a cross between the 8014 walker and the official Clone Wars-style AT-RT. Unlike other AT-RT MOCs which are too ‘technicy’ and highly-detailed, I designed my AT-RT to be simple-looking yet resembles the overall look of the TCW AT-RT while still retaining some elements of the 8014 walker (~70% of the parts are from 8014). Different views of the AT-RT: The Lightning Squadron Crew: Commander Ponds is a custom-printed clone trooper with red markings. The ARF Troopers are generic clone troopers with custom-printed scout-trooper helmets. General Mace Windu is...well, the TCW-style Mace Windu. Bonus Comics: Comments and criticisms are welcome!
  7. Just like what vexorian said, each AFOL has his/her own way of creating their MOCs. As for me, this is how I do my MOCs: 1. Come up with an idea, then try to visualize it and finalize what you really want. 2. Get some reference picture/s to serve as a guide, particularly if you're trying to recreate a certain structure, vehicle, or scene. 3. Search for existing LEGO sets which might be similar to what you want to create. You could find some much-needed help and inspiration in the downloadable instructions in the LEGO online customer service site. 4. Make a plan. Identify the parts that you need and how many of each do you need. You don't need to be exact, an estimate will do. 5. If you have the parts that you need from your existing sets, then you're good to go. But if not, or you don't want to scrap your official sets, then Bricklink is your bestfriend. 6. Finalize your purchase of parts, then you just have to wait to arrive to you. 7. Once your parts have arrived, you're ready to build your MOC. 8. The best part of all, enjoy the building/MOCing! This is how I do my MOCs, it's a rather structured and scientific way, but that's the best way for me. This might or might not work for you, so you just have to find a method where you're most comfortable working. Well, we hope to see one of your MOCs soon.
  8. WOW, Simply amazing... Those elephants look great, and there are so many ornate details in it I love it! Masterful job boba_jagoda! Just a question, are those elephants custom-made?
  9. I like the Disco Guy in Series 2, he looks really like a cool minifig... It's hard to compare Series 1 with 2 since the latter hasn't been released yet, so as of now I'm still going for Series 1. Though Series 2 seems to be promising, I still have to wait and see it before deciding which series is better.
  10. Wow those are pretty nice minis Forresto, impressive work! You really captured the overall look of the real ships even in mini-scale. The NX-O1 is classic!
  11. Great design 'Capt. Bayonet'! I'm sure that mecha will really look good in real gold bricks. Are those parts available in gold?
  12. Seeing the reference pic makes me appreciate your MOC even more, it really does resemble the real IGA store. The only difference are the 'price stickers' in the real store, though your MOC looks better (and cleaner) without it.
  13. Impressive collection of 3177-based military vehicles, kzv! A single army vehicle is quite simple, but put together as an army they look all really good together. I like the mods you did in the 6-wheelers, especially the weapons. Great job!
  14. Wow, you got the overall look of the wheelchair perfectly, excellent job Pretzel!
  15. Welcome aboard Morgan! I'm sure you'll enjoy the forums here in EB. And I must agree with you, nothing beats LEGO when it comes to relieving stress..
  16. Bonjour Decale et accueille à Eurobricks! Enjoy it in here!
  17. Hello Justin and welcome to Eurobricks! I'm sure you'll enjoy it in here. And can't wait to see your LEGO creations, we shall be waiting.
  18. Yeah I remember this, I love this scene, and you did a pretty good job recreating this ADHO15! I like the smoothness of the curved platform, and the cylindrical structure is quite good too. Best of luck in the contest.
  19. Nicely done greensull, though it really would have been better if the pics were clearer. From what I see the details are quite fine. Good luck in the contest.
  20. Sorry my friend but I have to agree with them, it's a little bit too boring, all I see is a couple of clones and droids and rock formations all over. Nothing much happening.
  21. Pretty nice MOC L-DI-EGO! I love how you did the Sarlacc, and the cross section of its stomach showing Boba is a clever idea, and very well executed. The perspective view of the small Bantha and the twin suns are also cool. A++ for uniqueness and ingenuity!
  22. It's a good entry, though I'm not so sure about the 'epicness' of the scene, it's not as memorable as the other epic SW scenes. But still, the build is pretty decent, lots of stuff going on there... Well, good luck in the contest Swiss Army Droid.
  23. Haha, Same here, I'm as cheap as Mr.Krabs.. I should purchase a couple of brick separator, as I use, as alternative means: a) a needle (?) b) my fingernails , and c) my teeth (ouch!)
  24. I just noticed it now (and it is very interesting to note): ...I'm Member No.5203 (5,203rd member of EB) joined last Feb 2009 ...Now, EB has 10,000+ members, as of Jun 2010. ...meaning in the span of only 16 months the population of EB has more than doubled! Wow, that's what you call exponential growth!
  25. Yeah the difference is quite noticeable - the plastic of the collectable minifig is less shiny than that of the standard minifigs. I also hope they fix this problem in Series 2.
