  1. Are the sets which come in the clear plastic boxes (especially the ones fom a year or two ago) factory sealed shut in any way or do the top and bottom flaps just fold in without being either glued or taped shut? Thanks.
  2. Does anyone happen to know which parts on this new magnet minifig are removable? I'm hoping that at least the helmet and head are. also, does he come with the same backpack as the minigig in the Batcave set? And in a related question, how do magnet minifigs differ from regular ones : where are the magnets located, from the pics I've seen they appear to be in the legs. Is there also a magnet in the torso?
  3. I finally got around to building my Thunder Fury. I noticed that the majority of the labels go on to "textured" (as opposed to smooth) bricks. I remember that the stickers on the textured bricks on my Alpha Team sets used to curl up because they didn't adhere properly ( these were "paper" labels, I believe). I'm a bit hesitant to apply them on the TF. Can anyone who has applied the labels to their Thunder Fury sets let me know how the labels have stood the test of time. Thanks.
  4. Hmmm, for parts eh, Reid..anything bat related?
  5. Hi Reid. Isn't cool how it's 5:49 here at eurobricks, but only 11:50 back at LOG.
  6. |:| Which means in Winnipeg they will be by by Mid March... if were lucky... I'm in Quebec and we get them pretty much on time, but there's always shop@home, and with the club codes you can usually save 20-30% on new products. For example the Harry Potter sets can be bought for $10. less on line than at most brick and mortar stores.
  7. A Lego rep here in Canada told me to expect SW sets and Exo force on the shelves by the 3rd week in December.
  8. Want.....April.......NOW! A library of bat characters! BTW, IMO where imagination is concerned I remember the 70s, I remember being 7 years old very well. I remember my first Mego Batman and I remember that playing with it FUELED my imagination. I built things out of Lego for my Batman. If I was 7 now I'd be thrilled. Check out the back pics in any Lego club mag. There's no shortage of kids' imaginations out there and this will allow them to expand their creativity. Give the kids some credit. They'll create toys from these sets that we've probably never even dreamed of!
  9. Yes, this does seem to be a better place. LUGNET scares me, everyone there seems so intense, lol. Anyway, back in June there was talk on the Art Asylum forum that TLC was looking for someone to do artwork for a Batman Lego line. Talk of this line had been around for a while, then it sorta fell off the radar. Guess they did the artwork. Nice when rumors and speculation turn into reality. Remember the guy who posted the Harry Potter mini fig on Brickshelf which turned out to be a very good (and as is turned out pretty accurate ) MOC.
  10. If the sets have already been designed and the license paid for then I agree, we'll see the line. I just didn't know how far along they were. Anyone remember when the Star Wars sets were first announced? Some things just seem too good to be true.
  11. As thrilled as I am about this, until I see the actual product I'm still going to be just a wee bit cautious. I don't doubt that the image is legit, however proposed box art and a whole product line are two different things. Too many times have toy enthusiasts been disappointed after seeing an action figure presented at a trade show, only to find out months later that the fig will not be produced. Case in point: we never got either a Wonder Woman or Hawk Girl mini mate. I'm not trying to jinx this, Bat Lego would be a dream come true. I guess what I'm saying is that, from what I understood from his post, Jake said the box art was legit but nothing was said re: the actual line.
  12. A 60's batmobile would be amazing..surprising...but amazing.
  13. What about supporting characters? Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, Alfred (c'mon. Lego giving us an Alfred is easy for you!) and Gordon! I drooling at the MOC possibilities here!
  14. Removable masks means that it doesn't matter whether they're flesh toned or not, just replace the head w/ a yellow one. I just hope it's NOT movie related only. Lego has the movie Spidey rights, Megachblech...still can't say it, gotta work on that, has the Marvel Spidey rights...hope TLC didn't make the same mistake twice. Better to have the rights to do every aspect of the character like Mattel has with Batman. BTW, how big is Batman in Europe? In North America he's pretty hot and has been for 20+ years. I wonder if there's going to be 2 versions, like with the new Dino line?
  15. I agree with you on the flesh toned thing. I hope that this is based on the comic version of the character which would be done with yellow mini figs, wouldn't it, because they aren't based on real life actors.
  16. Hi Dino. This the best news! C3 was short lived but this is way too cool! Between this, Exo force, the new Bionicle sets...geez 2006 is going to be a great year. Let the hype begin!
  17. Amazing how a topic like this can inspire even the die hard lurkers like myself. This is great if it's true. BTW, I really like this forum. I could never deal with LUGNET, I've never had the patience to argue over shades of grey bricks, and I can only imagine how Bat Lego sets will be received by the die hard AFOLs. Anyway, this is a grown up kid's dream come true! *wub*
