Anyone know what the time frame is from conception to creation of a minifig? How far in advance do they plan character line up and design. In addition what is DC/ Warner’s role as licensor in the selection and final approval?

A Jimmy Olson with a camera would be great and would fit the bill of a throwback generic character for City AFOLs

That swamp thing is terrific! Better than I imagined I too think that this will be a DC centric wave not another TLBM one. They’ve had success with the Simpson’s and Disney. If they’ve paid for the DC license it only makes sense to get their money’s worth. I remember those DC comics with Lego minifigs from a few years back. They were done in a “serious” style and looked great.

I’d be surprised if the minifigs are Arrowverse based but there’s no reason why we can’t get them based on the COIE comic or any of the subsequent Crisis. More likely though I think they’ll be based on Rebirth as DC is set to return both the JSA and Legion of Superheroes to continuity. We’ve gotten Damian Wayne Robins so a Jon Kent Superboy isn’t beyond the realm of possibility as well as Young Justice. Anything comic related seems possible. I guess it depends on what is and isn’t included in their licence.

Couldn’t lurk anymore : ) The idea of a DC centric CMF wave is a dream come true! 2020 is an interesting year for DC. McFarlane and Spin master are picking up the boys toys licence from Mattel, who has had it for more than 15 years. Lego producing a line of DC minifigs fits right in with the new DC presence that we’re going to see in the toy aisles. IMO TLC has does right by DC fans thus far. Not counting SDCC exclusives or minifigs which were part of sets, they’ve given us a Wonder Woman in an outfit that she only wore for a brief period in her comic, a Cosmic Boy, a Superboy, a Lightning Lad, a transforming Clark Kent, Jessica Cruz GL, Sinestro Corps Batman, New 52/current look Martian Manhunter, Nightwing, The Trickster and... Batzarro ( they cant all be winners) I’m sure I’m forgetting someone. Basically we’ve already gotten “obscure” characters because they appeared in home videos. If they simply take characters from the video games I’ll be satisfied.

Person who told me was on the Lego tour. He said that this is what he understood and also mentioned the store manager minifigs. I was hoping for a confirmation. It isn’t beyond the realm of possibility considering the low production run.

I was told that Eclipsegrafx creates and supplies Lego with the exclusive minifigs at comic con. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks

Never even thought about a golden age 1st appearance version. That would be great with action comics 1000 coming out soon otherwise his more modern rebirth costume would be welcomed I believe he’s getting the red trunks back soon though
