  1. It showed up trying to insert image to post. I have the pictures on Google Drive. (yes, I have made the pics public) I Get them visible on the post when typing, but after trying send or review the post, the error message appears. Can you see them here? --> https://drive.google...YkU&usp=sharing Thanks, nice to be here Yes I did read the instructions, but the broblem still remains. Does this one picture work as a link? (works for me, but making sure it works for others) --> https://lh6.googleus...BBrnJAg7Ag=w800 Edit. Seems like the forum needs the ".Jpg" extension to the end of pictures path. Dunno how to make it happen with Google drive.
  2. Hi, this is my first post, and it is about my first decent MOC after about 15 yrs of pause in LEGO Technic building. I Have all the old Technic's saved, and in use with my kids nowadays. I bought few new kits to see what Technics are today (and still great they are). Some might recognize what kits I have used to build this MOC (The bigger models at least). The idea for this Truck originally was trying to build 8258 Crane truck (I do not own one) from instructions. I did not have all the parts for it, so I needed to improvise. After building the crane part first, I was not happy with manually handled telescope boom. So I motorized it and had some more length to it. At this stage I got hungry, and decided to make it (allmost?) MOC, because I wanted more features than original. After all from the original 8258 Instruction, I only used sections making the basic structure of the cabin, and the crane part, both modified quite much. All the rest is my own design. Specs: 4 motors, all IR controlled and 3 of them changeable functions with gearbox ( options marked with / ) motor 1 for forward and reverse / Turning the table motor 2 for steering / main boom motor 3 for outriggers / 2nd boom motor 4 for telescope alone Suspension on 2 axles Length ?To be measured? Width ?? Hihgt min max ??-?? Weight with batteries: 2200g Part count: 2219 (can be different, due possible, small human erros) The Truck drives from the middle axle with differential. Acceleration and stopping is nice and smooth using 2 white friction gears in the transmission. Trucks speed is very good for this application. Steering was quite success, the turning circle is very small. The most best thing I was able to pull out, are the outtriggers. They come out, and after it go down and wise verse. This is possible by mechanical design. In general, the truck needs manual inputs only for power on/off and changing gear to to drive mode/lift mode. Truck is extremely playable....As you can note, I made very simple hook, and added axles an gears to tractor wheels, with them its very pleasing to toy with. With the boom in max length, the bigger tractor wheel rises without any problem. Things to improve: The crane rotation goes full 360 but the motor wire is too short to lead it nicely. It would require extension cable. The steering and the main boom lift directions are crossed, The direction always must be reversed from the transmitter after mode change. Bigger V8 engine would be more appropriate. More unique color scheme, but with my bricks not possible. Pictures: One panel is missing from the boom on the pictures, Noticed that after upload. Sorry. Also I have made mademodifications after these photos were shot., for example the suspension.
