Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return
Waterbrick Down replied to Waterbrick Down's topic in The Heroica Archive
"I think they're still in town, though most of the family is staying indoors with the latest headlines. Can you believe what they've done to their own children?" Aside from the other tomb's Matthias had spotted earlier, the only other noticable feature seems to be the exit tunnel leading away from the cavern opposite where the party had entered. -
Elphaba joins the Party! The heroes make their way through the woods without any difficulty, finding themselves quickly back at the portal to the Oracle's Shrine. In an instant they are transported back to Eubric and the chaotic shrine they had left behind. Where would they head next? Sneaking through Eubric In order to make it through Eubric undetected a d6 stealth check will be rolled a number of times equal to the number of party members. If half the rolls are above a 3, the party moves without being noticed, if not they will encounter some resistance. The roll can be modified by the following: Player starting class was rogue or ranger +1 Stealth Player's current advanced class is rogue or ranger based +1 Stealth Spells such as Scroll of Disguise is used +1 Stealth Backwear such as cloaks equipped +1 Stealth Torsowear such as armor equipped -1 Stealth Shields equipped -1 Stealth Moving from one side of the city to the other -1 Stealth QM Approved Modifiers +1/-1 Stealth

"Not know Elphaba of the Green? Were you born to a bugbear, boy?" "Stay your tongue Rodrick, I have been absent from Eubric for some time, it does not surprise me Heroica has had its fair share of growth." The witch bows to Petaldan, "I am Elphaba of Ozmath, at one time I peddled some of my wares in Eubric, I retired however upon the arrival of the Mindflayer they called Baba. She is an eatress of my people and not one I relished meeting in the flesh. Heroes from your organization have always been faithful patrons of my shop and there are some in Eubric who still hold a special place in my heart."
-
QM Note: Since Pretzel can equip multiple cloaks, then yes each would give him a +1. I'll give you a +1 for the White Ninja Cowl. The Bumble Fan Shirt will give you -1 as there is nothing inconspicuous about it. QM Note: I'm ruling it as a disguise self spell and not a polymorph spell. So you can change into any humanoid.
-
QM Note: No problem, I know there's going to be a lot of questions. By torsowear I do mean armor. The Trisker's Mask and Skull Mask give +1 Stealth respectively. The aesthetic removal of the face paint would not change the roll. It's also worth noting that the while you're starting class is relevant to Karie's bonus, because she is currently a Minstrel she does not get the advanced class bonus.

The party makes ready to head out to the Eubric Herald, before leaving the Wolf Den back into the hovels, the party reviews it's equipment and skill set for stealthing about the city. Heroica RPG - Quest #159: An Unexpected Return

Althior and Matthias glance at the amulet, from a brief analysis it would seem that the restorative powers within would be better suited for raising a hostile corpse, the party may need to seek out someone with more spiritism based skills. -
"A demon and in the service of Heroica? Well then be my guest..." Germ reaches out his hand merely inches away from the book's cover and feels a slight tug on his mind, something beckoning him, drawing him in as if to share some dark and terrible secret. QM Note: He's no longer touching the book, and yes it's the latter. "Her tomb was under the Tower of Babel which no longer exists, you can be assured that if she wasn't dead before that she is now. I don't know what was summoned here, but whatever it is, I think it went to Eubric, not the other way around. Where it went from there is anyone's guess."
-
"Why would you assume that?" Petaldan tries to heal Torald, but the barbarian does not seem injured only unresponsive. "There are at least three known copies of the book, two of which your Metasimian librarian had. The third belonged to the Green Witch, the member of the coven I told you about earlier, but she's long been dead." "So... we're just going to leave him here, right?"
