I've actually considered it and still hope to do it one of these days. The trick is that the game is very much number crunchy on the DM's part. Where in more popular RPG's players keep track of their health, stats, and attacks, the mechanics of Heroica RPG is mainly run by the DM. Where in more popular RPG's players often do not know a monster's "stats", knowing a monster's "stats" and keeping track of them is vital for party survival. While the RP would be awesome, it would need a little tweaking to make it flow better in person.

I'm assuming you're looking to hold onto the Anniversary Medal. While +4 SP is nothing to sneeze at, +4 to HP, Ether, and power, really aren't that big of a deal when it comes to the long term character statistics. So unless you're really looking to play a tank type character, I wouldn't worry about the Medal if you really want to play a different character. It's a value proposition, do you really like the artifact or do you really like the thought of a new character? You unfortunately can't have your cake and eat it too.

From the FAQ: While the item could be sold and bought back later (technically), I'm pretty sure most of us would consider it bad form and against the spirit of the rules.

Well there is a newspaper, so I guess it would depend upon how many and how far out their correspondents go.

Skrall's head ached from the transition back to reality, rushing over to the sink he emptied his stomach. Mopping the sweat from his brow, the ogre took a look at his surroundings. "I take it were back in the real world?"

OoC: Skrall should be at full health due to his Natural Restoration. Skrall sorts himself out before handing some of his consumables to Ellaria. Consuming a Mead The ogre seats himself on the sandbar looking out at the rolling waves, his eyes peeled for survivors. Skrall stands back waiting for the fish to slowly succumb to the poison.

Just as the ogre feels a sense of dread overtaking him, Ellaria swoops in with her remedy. Standing tall, Skrall switches to his Hunter's Crossbow and fires at the Krakenling School from the back row, nodding in thanks to the alchemist.

OoC: Skrall should have done somewhere around 1368 Damage to the Ray so it should be KO'd. Skrall draws another arrow and fires again from his Composite Bow at the Krakenling School from the back row.

Skrall repeats, "We better finish this soon."

OoC: Skrall isn't Lucky so I'm pretty sure that will affect the last round significantly. Skrall takes a step back from the Demon Ray's beating.

OoC: So Skrall used his Composite Bow in the last round so that should change the damage output to 1368 Damage killing Demon Ray A. The ogre watched the beast warrior fall once again, "Ya got to quit doin' that, Nur." Skrall drew back another arrow on his Composite bow and fired at Demon Ray B from the back row.

I've been recouping ideas for quests and taking a little hiatus, I've got some quest ideas I've been toying with so I should be back in the QMing game in another month or so.
