Well, I have to admit your are right. The exterior of the planes look so good but these huge specialized parts are kind of a turn off! The wings are so big and the fact that is a one single-piece wing is kind of weird. The look is great but you can't buid nothing else but planes with these huge parts... Passenger Train set 7897 has that same problem... The front end of the train is one huge part... I would prefer if you could build it in seperate parts... Overall, I still like the big planes.... At least the outside look...!

Does anyone know if LEGO will come back with another plane (just like those in 7733 Cargo Plane / 7893 Passenger Plane / 7894 Airport). I want to add more planes to my tarmac... :-) For more on airplane maintenance: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=366163

Thanks for your kind comments. I did order the parts from LEGO. I am waiting on them. The color will now be gray and blue but once I get them, I will post some pics...
-
Razzer, I own both. They are super. If you can afford both, do it. Otherwise, if you just wanna get one, go for the Green Grocer. It has a lot of cool features on the inside. The Café Corner has nothing in the inside. It is still a great set but for the inside, I favor Green Grocer.

Thanks for the good comments guys. A lot of buses around here have no rear windows. Just like that one:

Not a bad set altough the radar is a little weird looking.
-
Very nice, I want some ice cream now!
-
Well, I have worked on it again and I finally managed to change the wheels for bigger ones... I also added a bike rack in front. And the rear...
-
Yes, LDD has bigger wheels but they just won't fit on an 8 studs wide creation. Also, I don't want to increase the size of the wheel well...
-
I agree with you DJ Force that the wheels are too small for the bus... I am trying to find a bigger set but I think I am limited to what LDD has to offer. I did order the bus anyways. I will see what it looks like when I get it!

This is a city bus I created. I like the interior that sits 12 + driver. I am ordering it on LDD today.

I created a city bus to go accross town! Look for it on the city forum! :-)

This is another Bus Stop I created... It comes with a couple of other features. The benches are like those found in a park (no studs), there is a trash can, a traffic light and a red light camera watching. I used the same street light and fire hydrant. The shelter is slightly different as it is common in cities. The new modified seats... Thanks for the suggestion.
-
Thanks again, I never tought about having both seats together like that would be a problem for min-figs to sit side by side... I will work on it and see what I can do... :-)
-
Thanks guys... I looked carefully at the instructions books to see if I forgot something and I could not find anything... This is the first time I get that many extra parts in any shapes... It really looked like they were to be used somewhere in the set but hey, they maybe extras! My spare parts bag is getting bigger with every set I buy! :-)

Thanks for the kind comment! I did order it and it should be here anytime now... I will for sure take a photo of it and post it again! For a bigger photo, look under City '09?, page 44.

I created this bus stop long time ago but did not post good any quality photos but the LDD model. Here is a link to a couple of shots... I hope you enjoy. http://www.flickr.com/photos/45260367@N08/sets/72157624956601159/

Thanks for the kind comment, I will post it in the main forum. You are right also on 7641, I think it comes with a bus stop..... So with mine, the bus now has a route!

Got the 10193 Medieval Market Village a couple of days ago and I am in love. I never buy any CASTLE stuff but this one is something else! I enjoyed every minute of building it and there are no huge parts... Everything is pretty much small parts just like in the LEGO older sets (with, of course, the newer parts.) Does anyone know if after building the entire set, you are left with a lot of spare parts like, just not 4 or 5 but rather 25 or so??? Thanks in advance.

I already ordered my custom made bus stop complete with newspaper boxes and furniture. All I need now is the city bus from 7641!

Very accurate review. This is a great set. I got it a few weeks ago and I love it. I have to say that I was the victim of the cabin explosion too! :-)

I have to agree with you Justin, LEGO 7641 with the city bus is a set I can't wait to buy! It is the first LEGO city bus in a long while and a fresh addition to the city line. It seems like TLG is finally adding a couple of buildings to make the CITY line look like a city as opposed to cars, trucks and emergency fleets! I also hope they come out with another bus set perhaps an articulated bus with the same colour as 7641 to make them look like they are part of a fleet! Something like that...

I bought the Crawler Crane 7632, the Front-End Loader 7630, the Dump Truck 7631 and the Dozer 7685 but I just can't buy the Construction Site 7633. T think that the tractor trailer looks good, the little dozer too but the crane looks a little unfinished to me. The control cabin is not even a cabin and the technic axles look like they curve when they are under too much pressure... The lift looks good I have to say but then again, the bulding is kind of too minimalist. Once again, way too many stickers but hey, 2009 will be a great year and I will be buying a lot anyways! :-)
