MOD - Soldiers' Fort plus revamped Imperial Trading Post
AND3RSEN replied to brickzone's topic in Pirate MOCs
Those are some pretty sweet telescopes ! love the MOD, i never had any of the classic sets! P.S. for a camera phone those are some fantastic pictures! -
I now it is not the historic version, but isn't the H.M.S Endeavor the flagship of Lord Cutler Beckett in Pirates of the carribean: at worlds end? i think i've already said this, but i love your ship, very cool color-scheme! keep up the good work!
-
LOVE the lantern! Great helm, the cannon is very nice(wheels would be even cooler)
-
Screw pirates, lets just make a lego napolionic-wars theme! i like the impulse packs because they come with backpacks and a bunch of weapons. but i would love some battle packs, i wish lego took peoples suggestions!
-
i love your MOC! Very impressive. Would this be considered a Man-o-War?

When you say three sets, does that mean just pirate sets, or all themes in general? also, i cannot locate the cord that allows my camera to transfer pics to the computer, i'll need to buy one. other than that, sure, i'll join -
The poop deck is the deck that is situated above or on top of the cabins roof (better explained here) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poop_deck the forecastle is basically the raised part at the bow (front) of the ship. (also, better explained here) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forecastle I learned this from a fantastic book about a man-o-war, by Steven Biesty. About your MOC, i love it! the only thing that bothers me, is the poop deck is a tad bare, mabye put a barrel or two up there. otherwise, great job!

Well darn it! I think the next 'wave' of pirate lego will focus more on the ?redcoats?, but they are definately cooler than the pirates! Seaking61, it appears that you are right about the female pirate, that is very strange, just goes to show what rum can do to somenone...

like SlyOwl said, theye are not sets.

I have a feeling that TLG comes out with sets around the holidays, and in the late spring/summer. they will definately come out with some kind of ship for the ?Red coats? (they have to!!!!!). i think they made the creator set have a differant minifig as to lure adults to buy it (which i did). I love that torso. but yes, i am currently saving money to buy the ship that comes out in the late spring/summer. they always do stuff like that, like the indiana jones sets last year! any info on this at all would be apreciated!

According to a book i own (Steven Biesty's Man-o-War) it is in fact on the quarter deck. Just thought i'd throw my opinion in. however, i stronly suggest to get the book, FANTASTIC details!

I also made a mod of BB, should i post the pics (if i do) in this thread or just start a new topic? Also...being new to the forum and all, could someone please tell me how to access the tutorial on posting pics, i can't seem to find it. However, getting on with the topic at hand, wonderful mod Genaral armendariz! Love the rigging, and the ladder to the poop deck. The coolest thing is the second deck! thank you!

Buy 2009 LEGO Pirates from S@H or Toys R Us
AND3RSEN replied to General Armendariz's topic in LEGO Pirates
I'm fairly certain you confused 50 GBP with USD. I was excited for a moment, ERG! -
I agree that the BSB is a work of art, but the BB is close behind. The BB is just more like the average pirate ship. I have to say that the BSB's deck looks like a bunch of plates stacked up, and it looks kind of messy. of course, i do not own it, so i could be wrong, its just my opinion. Why hasn't anybody mentioned the RBR, no one ever talks about that, there's not even a review of it!
-
Its pretty neat to see them all lined up like that. Unfortunatley, i never bought the SES or BSB (always wanted ), but i do own the BB. after some quick alterations (second deck, second cabin beneath the first, a forecastle) it looks VERY sweet.

i like the figurehead without the face. maybe to match the rest of the ship to the stern, you should change the red 'gundoors' (no idea wha the technical term is) to blue. i love the blue though. Is this ship built on top of the brickbeards bounty hull? i noticed the flag is from the new pirates line, just wondering. awesome ship!
-
Definately the new red coats. 1)New shakos look awesome! 2)Body is double printed, and very detailed!
-
IRONHOOK! redbeard has the appearence that he is going to invite you to a dinner party, ironhook looks like he is going to kill you (aside form the smile!)
-
I really enjoy the way that instead of massing tons of infantry, you have included cavalry, artillery, and the sailors/captain/navigator. They are all very cool. please post pictures of your french ship, and good luck with the rest of the army.
-
I really love this. The sky sail is awesome! And yes, i agree that this ship is very much like Master and Commander.

I live in Virginia. i usaually keep my lego sets constructed, but the ones that are reletively boring, i usually throw them in my giant box of parts. i do make MOCs, unfortunately they are all rainbow colored, except for my lego warthog, which somehow i managed to make all green.

I am a huge fan of the lego Starwars theme, the Pirates Theme, and the City theme, I have a couple Indiana Jones sets, but the bulk of my lego collection is probably in Starwars. Hope that answers the question.
