OLD Mafia and Mystery Games Index

How do you guys think we should choose players? I think veteran hosts can pick and choose, but there needs to be a process for getting new players involved. We can't just keep running games with the same people every time... -
Hmmm... that brings up a good point. I think first time game hosts shouldn't be able to pick and choose so much. I'd encourage you to get as many new players in as possible...

Huge Price Increase for Pick A Brick Items!
Hinckley replied to Eurospanol25's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Well, the mispricings haven't been fixed yet. Pretty odd it would take that long to correct some mistakes. I'm excited about some of these new elements, but if some of these prices don't change, I'll go back to parting sets out... -

No, doofus! Where did you get that? You start yours. -
This is a very detailed work and is quite amazing! I really like it. As for the title of this topic. I would like to change it to MOC: Tractor as I prefer to see your MOCs displayed in separate topics. It appears you would like to post all of your MOCs just in this one? Perhaps I'm reading it wrong, but it works better to start a new thread for each creation. That way more people are likely to see it and comment. They will all be indexed in the main index. Thanks.

This is awesome, benny! I really like the minifig you chose to put with it! Have you considered putting some 1x2 lime green tiles on top of the front mudguard and raising the 1 x 2 black grill plate by 1 plate, so that the mudguard meets the hood? The whole thing is really well done and I like the SNOT technique you used. Great work. Thanks for sharing it with us. By the way, as to the gender of your minifig, she reminds me of a bartender I know. Nobody knows if she's a man or woman at first either.

Barry, please add your comments about new sets to the 2009 topic. Although your enthusiasm is appreciated, you don't have to start a new topic every time you make an observation. Thanks.

You originally said March and Baritones has been over since the fifth of March. We haven't had a mafia game for over a month. Is it OK with you if Jlblue starts his now? Is there a better time for you? Should we just push you back to the Summer? You seem to keep pushing yours back... -

New Mafia Game Index rule, if you're not ready when you say you'll be ready, you go to the end of the list. Let's have New Right's game go as a mystery game and JlBlue go as a mafia game. -

It's OK. I just want to see where Tiny Pies is first. And now you know how it works, so no harm done! -

Ask first next time please. You do see a waiting list, don't you? NewRight, please let me know what type of game this actually is, Mafia or Mystery or a combo. I also ask that all people who are running a game for the first time PM me a general concept and list of rules before being added to the list. Especially since you haven't played one of our mafia games yet, I would really like to see what you have in mind first. Of course, since I might play, only send me the rules that you would post for the players without giving away any other twists or surprises. Everyone who already appears on the waiting list, please respond by Wednesday your ability to start a game at this point. It's one thing to take a slot on the list, but another to be prepared and able to fulfill the slot you take... Update: I see you already wrote the rules out in the signup thread. OK, let's see what the others on the list say. We may be able to run this as a mystery game since Zepher doesn't seem to be jumping on her/his chance to start a new game, either. gggggggggggggggggg- Sorry there was gunk on my "g" key and I needed to clean it and don't feel like erasing that. -
I will re-open this if all the other people already signed up to run a game aren't ready with theirs... Sorry. Just trying to be fair to everybody.

Add this to your common sense file: Don't click on links in e-mails or PMs from people you don't know. Also, never click on a link that seems to come from your bank or any credit card company or site where you have your financial information. If it seems plausible that they need info from you, either login at their website and check the customer center for information or call the company directly. There are brilliant phishing scams out there that look exactly like Chase Bank, Visa or even eBay. Anyway, like Sinner said, the poll won't make up our mind about this issue but our eye is always on this type of thing and the safety of our members...

That would be mildly annoying: "The votes are in and the airplane sets wins!" "Great! Now here's your exclusive set-a toaster!" "But we voted for the airplane." "That was just a concept."

Happy Birthday kompis!!

Well the options for the SW vote were Mon Cal Cruiser (the winner), another Slave I and Palpatine's arrest. They've, so far, only produced the winner...
-
They have to know that we'll riot if they produce that set without a monorail, right? They really should've known that one would (probably) win if they showed a picture of a monorail. Is it common knowledge that many AFOLs want that back in production? And as previously mentioned, we'll be getting a truck repair shop already and have Town Plan which seems remarkably similar to Town Square. But, I think they will produce all of these sets no matter what we vote...they just won't all be TRU exclusives. Maybe a S@H exclusive and a Target exclusive? Although, wasn't one of the SW options last year another Slave I? They haven't made that. What was the third option?
-
I did the same thing, but I will definitely buy one or two if they re-release that. I bet it will be Power Functions, though...

Check out this page at Toys R Us to vote on a new city set for 2010. The three options are (one of which I'm really excited about): Notice the monorail in option 2? Now, the little disclaimer says they can't include everything, but a new monorail would be a pretty big omission! Now, who remembers the Star Wars vote? Were all three options made, but only one is a TRU exclusive. My thought is that perhaps all three of these sets will be limited edition, but only one will be carried by TRU. A big teaser marketing campaign here...

I just now realized that was the one April Fool's joke I fell for.
