  1. Loving the Creator Monkey, and how expressive it is with it's build. I just wonder why they're still using those Knights Kingdom ratcheting joints, when they're using the ball and socket joints for the rest of the articulation. I'm not a fan of modifying Lego bits, but does anyone else have a massive temptation to set the monkey up with some googly eyes?
  2. Very nice build! I love all the detail you put into the body build. That said, there is something off about the design and that issue lies in the mask selection. The mask doesn't mesh with the body, due to being very rounded and smooth, while the body is blocky (not a negative thing) and detailed. It might look better with one of these masks: Ruru (Great or Noble), Komau (Great), Kaukau (original or Nuva) or maaaaaaybe Faxon. I do realize some of these masks weren't produced in colors that match the scheme done in the figure, but the detail and shape of the mask would be a better match to the body-type. Hope you don't mind me putting my two cents in. :)
  3. Very nice! I really like the Keetongu vibe Shellshock puts off.
  4. I gotcha now. These wolves must be eating well! One thing that I think would make the wolf look a little bit better, is if you made the hind legs a three bone set up, by adding a bone on the horizontal between the thigh and the shin to give the wolf a more digitigrade appearance.
  5. Very nice! Have we seen the scorpion species or did I miss it? I'm curious, how does it look with Bulk's helmet at the top of his head as opposed to being the jaw?
  6. Not bad. Since it's based off Halo's Flood, I think bulking up one of the arms with larger armor cladding would further the asymmetrical nature of the infection. I'm not sure if it you can, but once XT-4 is released, I think swapping the yellow hero foot with one of XT-4's would work nicely, too.
  7. That seems a little harsh. I really like how Verdes is built. The custom body is a nifty design. Any chance you have a de-assembled view of it? The only thing I'd perhaps change is the legs. They look fine, but I'm an articulation nut. If a bi/quadruped figure has moving elbows, I want to see moving knees. Moving knees, I want to see moving elbows. Not much to say on Scraps, other than he's a cute lil fella.
  8. Love this! Playing the PSO2 Beta has gotten me back into a bit of a cowboy themed kick, so I'd totally love to see this happen as a set. His rival villain set could have a cow skull mask / helmet. :D As SpiderSpaceman said, if you Cuusoo this, I'll gladly give it my support.
  9. Here's one from me. (Alien Autopsy?) Hopefully it fits for the topic subject. :)
  10. Very nifty work! I like how you used elements from the four building styles (System, Technic, Bionicle, and Hero Factory) to make such a filled in model. I also like how it has the ability to go between bipedal and quadruped forms. The only thing I'm a bit iffy on is the tail. It looks fine, but I worry the way it's been built might cause stress / damage on the pieces?
  11. If you're looking to sell quickly, I think lots would be the best route. That said, if you still want to piece the parts out, I'd look on a site like Peeron, Bricklink or Lego's online PAB to see what the going rate for those parts are. Good luck!
  12. My weirdest mocs, would of had to been some of my firsts. I built an ostrich (or what I considered a Bionicle ostrich. XD) from ball connectors, axles, gears, a few limbs and feet. It's been disassembled for a while. (Horrible pics, but it was also taken with my first digital camera. Horrible camera, always complained about lack of light (even if taking a picture of a powered on lightbulb.) It was one of those pocket types, roughly the size of highlighter.) I later ended up putting together a crab from Bohrok feet, Bohrok mask launcher, some limbs, Bionicle claws and a few other pieces. Thought I had pictures of it, but can't find them currently. Not sure if it's still together or not. and finally, I built this a year or two before Morbuzakh and the Hordika came about. Never did get around to taking pictures of it, until BZP held a Hordika MOC contest. Decided to give it a bit of backstory, and wrote it up as a Toa that was turned into a flower. Before the Hordika re-write, I just considered it somewhat of a carnivorousness plant. I think it was taken apart, though. (if any pics need to be made smaller, let me know!)
  13. I could of sworn earlier in the topic, it was stated that there was some sort of quality control issue delaying Breez.(Edit: Saw the posts noting the delay, guess I just chalked it up to a QC issue.) That said, she (and Thornaxx) are still getting released, They've just been delayed till August, according to the Toy Fair cards.
  14. Wouldn't exactly call it a spider creature...certainly looks a bit more lizard-like. Cute little build. I like it, as it is.
  15. Very nifty sounding books. I love the Japanese Lego community's MOC-styles. As for getting the books, it sounds like you'd have to go through a proxy service. You'll pay someone in Japan to order the items, they'll receive it at their address, and ship it on it's way to you. I knew of one, but I'm not sure if they're still offering the proxy service. I'll edit my post once I get more information.
  16. Wow. Good to know I'm not the only one's Target that's like that. Geez. I wish I had my receipt still. I bought Splitface from that same Target last month. Might of been overcharged.
  17. Hey guys. Went out on the hunt for some Transformers, Breez and that Thornax critter, this morning. Toys R Us was a bit of a wasted trip, as they were in the middle of a restock / aisle reset. Stopped by Target and saw this: (picture is a link to a larger copy of the image.) Anyone else seen anything like this?
  18. I'd certainly love to see some civilian offerings. With some of the new Hero Factory pieces released this year, I could see some interacting quite nicely with the Matoran pieces to build civilian figures. So, yes. If Lego made a Makuhero, Zib or Quadal (not sure how they'd pull of Quadal outside of the arms, though.. ) I'd most certainly buy it.
  19. Oh, love that they made a STAP for a poly-bag set. Nice and inexpensive enough way to army build. Hopefully TRU and Target will get them over here in the US. Count me in as one who'd love to see a comparison pic of the various STAPs.
  20. That seems to be a common suggestion. Haven't a clue how I could mess up on my own DOB, but oh well. Will find out if I can ever get back into my account. How'd they fix it? I emailed the Lego Support (at) cuusoo.com, they said they were going to take my word for it, and reinstate my account; but, when I try to log in, I still get a "Incorrect username or password" (even after changing the password with 'I forgot my password', and tempting to log back in both with email and username.) Only issue I can think of that's really messing things up now, I seem to recall using my Twitter account with Lego Cuusoo, but I notice there's no longer a way to log into Lego Cuusoo with Twitter. I guess I'll email them about that. Thanks for the support and info! :D Edit: Went to reply to the email asking about Twitter, and realized I had been reading the email incorrectly. Thought they were going to reinstate the account, then I log in and update the DOB. They wanted me to respond to the email with my DOB. Just did, so hopefully fixed?
  21. Hi guys! I was wondering, did anyone else receive an e-mail from Lego, titled "About Your LEGO CUUSOO Account"? Here's a copy&paste of the email if you're wondering what it's about: "Hi taaron, Thank you for signing up for an account on LEGO CUUSOO (http://LEGO.cuusoo.com ). We recently discovered a technical glitch on our sign-up forms that allowed users under 13 to sign up for accounts on LEGO CUUSOO. This should not have happened. The LEGO Group complies with the Child Online Privacy and Protection Act (COPPA), and as a result, children under 13 are not allowed to have an account here. Our forms unintentionally allowed you to sign up and tell us your age without restricting your access and explaining the situation, and we're sorry. We allow kids 13 and over to have an account, vote, and comment on projects. When you turn 13, you are welcome back to vote and comment. To comply with COPPA, we are deleting your LEGO CUUSOO account and all of your personal information contained here. If you're looking for fun LEGO activities on the Internet, LEGO.com is specifically designed as a fun environment for kids of all ages. Please ask your parents to help you create an account there, and have fun! The LEGO CUUSOO Team" Thing is, I'm 29. Went over to Lego Cuusoo and sure enough, I can't log in. Anyone else 13 and older have this issue? (I sent them a tweet about it, waiting for a message back.) Edit: Cleaned up the formatting on the email. For some reason Gmail scrunched it up and broke up lines.
  22. Great review. I'm still a little bit on the fence. Was wanting to get this set for the hedgehog primarily, but the decal sheet hedgehog artwork and accessories has edged it slightly more in favor of purchase, but the price seems a bit much for hedgehog + decal sheet. There is a little bit of curiosity with the horse, as it looks to have a hole in it's mane. Does that mean it can be 'upgraded' into a unicorn? (response won't adjust the want level of the set, just a mere curiosity. XD )
  23. Generally, I'm not a fan of modding Lego pieces, but these look great. The paints on Nex really make the figure pop, and the scratches and paint wash make the Glatorian appear to be just that, well worn gladiators. Between this and the Brickjournal Minifig customization book, it really makes me want to reconsider my position on modding. Also love the packs. What material are they made of?
  24. Welp, I was gonna try and only get one set from this theme. However, it looks like I'll be getting at least three. For where there are hedgehogs and robots, my money will go. I had been planning on getting 3933, Olivia's Inventor workshop, as I liked the little Robot build, and after examining it, I liked the entire look of the workshop. Now that I've found 3188 Heartlake Vet has the hedgehog figure, I'll probably be picking it up just for that. (Though, I wonder if Lego will offer the hedgehog on Pick a Brick?) and finally 3936, Emma's Design Studio. I always liked seeing design studios be it fashion, architecture or whatever, so the entire look of the set really appeals to me.
  25. They're available in store; I ran by my TRU yesterday after calling to see. Bought Toxic Reapa, Jawblade, Evo and Rocka. Left Black Phantom for another day. (I think they might of had Surge, but I'm not a hundred percent on him.)
