Been a while since I posted so thought I would share my latest Gotham City MOC, Penguin's Iceberg Lounge... The exterior features Batman climing out of sight of the doorman to rescue Robin, a stained-glass duck and gargoyles above. The front opens right down the middle, which was one of the most challenging but effective parts of the build. The interior inludes a private viewing box and polar bear pit with shark-infested water... I'm gonna agree on the Hellicarrier front, saw it in the Metrocentre Store, was told no one else had bought one yet, just about to start building it. It looked great in the window and on top of the cool figs included, I got one of (what I was told were limited) these;

Haha, thanks! I'd love to think I'd inspired them but doubt it... Though I also noticed the same idea for the slide into the vat of acid! Hmmm. I agree about the features, the bike and vine drop will look good I'm sure. The tipping point will be how many rehashed figs we do or don't get in my opinion.

I was also really looking forward to a quality build, mainly to 'beef up" my own MOC (https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/96587844@N07/15073348963/) with some new ideas... But instead we potentially get a mediocre mix of minifigs (unless there's some awesome variants) and only a couple of imaginative elements. I'm always optimistic with prelims and am more than likely to pick this up but can't see much of it staying built next to my own version on what we've seen so far. Hope it looks a lot better in the next set of images...

I called the Metrocentre store (who had the last winter wave from Boxing Day) and they said they wouldn't have them until January 1st. So close but yet so far!

Wow, thanks for the comments guys, great feedback! Mitch, really appreciate your detailed reply so wanted to add something to each section; The reactor and framed mask are probably my favourite details, simple but effective! I put the brief case there until we get the next suit but think i'll leave it as i also like the effect. Next step is to change the colour of the car on fire and build the remaining section of the mansion. This is also my favourite build and i'm happy with the way it opens up. Yeah, this was a hard one to breakdown as i also loved the first, i just felt it needed to show the before and after, hence the rotating scene showing the destroyed lab. I do kind of agree here as originally he was still gonna be in the ice but i remember some one commenting on the movie accuracy (which i haven't been too strict with bit certainly influenced these heavily) so i added the Hydra bomber in mid-build. I did have the idea of changing the scene slightly to show him in ice but being extracted from the ship by a crane etc, so may explore this idea still. Thanks again for the detailed response and will keep the thread updated with my progress...

Totally agree with new Batboat and Killer Croc! I modified Aldrich's boat into this bat boat ( ) and think it would work great in a £19.99 set but with a sewer entrance and pet crocodile for killer croc (big fig), rather than another vehicle. What do you think?

It has to be in that price banding, it has the same components as extremis sea port battle (one vehicle, 3 figs and an accessory).
