  1. I used Games Workshop Green Stuff to form the head scarf around a normal hair piece. Then it was painted with the rising sun design. ' No lego was injured in the making of this piece' Jasbrick
  2. Thanks Exxtrooper, the thing on his head is a folded Rising Sun flag headscarf that was worn during WWII most notably by the Kamikaze pilots. Jasbrick
  3. Hi, Previously my main focus has been on creating a consistent Post-Apoc themed group of customs, as a bit of a break from that I have been playing around with WWII. Here is the result: WWII Japanese Pilot: WWII German Major: WWII British Tank Regiment: Jasbrick
  4. Sorry for not replying sooner... Yes the weapons and grenades are Brickarms, with the M16 modified with underbarrel grenade launcher and Optic system. Jasbrick
  5. Hi, here is my version of a military contractor (Mercenary): Jasbrick
  6. Asuka... thanks, I think... However I must say that some of my best figs have been done with Crayons and Watercolors!.... (albeit when I was 6, just prior to my white phase.... using correction fluid ;-)) Thanks again. Jasbrick
  7. To join with the veteran that I posted here is a full combat team of Briksnaz: Close up of the Briksnaz wearing assault armour and carrying an Automatic Shotgun: Close up of the Briksnaz wearing assault armour and carrying a Smartlinked LMG: Close up of the Briksnaz Sniper wearing the coveted Maroon Beret of distinguished service: Close up of the Briksnaz tooled up for stealth and infiltration duties: Jasbrick
  8. Thank you Asuka, I know it is probably a little sad to keep my figs in character with a fictional "bricktastic universe" but it helps me to keep a degree of uniformity in the designs... that being said the smartlink was meant to look a little clunky and obvious as that accurately sums up the character of the Brikviet faction. On the antenna, I agree with you... this technique works well with the chunkier Shocktroopers and with a less heavily armoured fig it is a bit much. With the benefit of hindsight I think I will keep the antenna but switch sides so that it balances against the optic mod. I will use this for the next 5 of these little guys. Anyway thanks again for your comments. Jasbrick
  9. Hi, I am currently increasing the ranks of my 3 main factions (Brikviets, The 'Corporation' and Briktish) with a load of standard troops... however I could not resist the urge to create something a little special for Brikvia. The following is the elite of the elite within the Brikvian Special Forces... He is a Briksnaz Veteran armed with a Smartlinked AK69 (with integrated shotgun): Also an alternative angle showing the Smartlink system and gun optic: The mohican mod is based on John0515's Mohawk. I hope you like. Jasbrick
  10. Ooops! Oh do I feel stupid.... Sorry Sandy! Oh well at least you have been immortalised in plastic. Can't wait to see the settings. Jasbrick
  11. Hi, I think these are all excellent figures... and a lack of femininity is definitely not an issue as it is important to differentiate between the male and female (particularly in a Steampunk setting). Sandy has a considerable amount of character and in my view could be worthy of a more substantial part than as a background character. My only feedback is that they are lacking Steampunk'ishness and it may help to see them in connection with a setting or MOC that adds this element. Jasbrick
  12. Fantastic decals and an excellent group of cohesive characters... I look forward to the story. Jasbrick
  13. Phew... I was getting worried... ceasing to amaze :-O Thanks for the comments guys... yes these are heavily WH40K inspired, the majority of my dark ages involved 40k. Jasbrick
  14. Hi, This is part of my Steampunk League of Extraordinary Minifigs and is an Inquisitor of the Ordo Plastic. Here is the Inquistor armed with repeating crossbow and warp blade, along with his faithful retainer 'Guardian' who holds the unholy tome of the Clonusbrandecon that contains the details of those heretics that have been found utilising the evil power of clone products. Here is an alternative view showing the repeating crossbow better (two TLC crossbows and a brickarms rifle) and also a view of the inquisitors servo skull carrying 'Redeemer' his pistol. I hope you like them. Jasbrick
  15. Great idea... I will try that... the ends are smaller so on one side the rod will not fit but I think I could work something out. Thanks for the suggestion. Jasbrick
  16. Thank you. To answer your specific questions: -Watch: This is a hand from a skeleton arm (the hand goes on the fig arm and the disk is from slightly higher up the skellie arm [i got the idea from Chaosfish1 on flickr, but I am not sure if his version uses the same technique) the jewel is part of a trans rod that is cut down. -Monocle: This uses the top of a Brickarms grenade that hooks round the hood with half of the lens part of a TLC binoculars. The lens is the ball from the top of a trans antenna... which just pops in and does not require any glue to hold it in place. -Steam Cable: This is a technic cable but I am not sure of the exact part number... I cut it in half and slotted it into the Steamsaber base. -Gun: The gun is a prototype Brickarms Revolver (provided by Will Chapman at www.brickarms.com) that has been modified with a scope from a Brickarms shotgun and TLC cable reel with TLC harpoon. -Torso Decal: This is a tweaked TLC torso that was originally white... I think it is from an early Space line. Hope that helps. Jasbrick
  17. Hi, I am playing around with the Steampunk concept and decided to create a Jedi Knight Steam-Style. Anyway here is Luke Steamwalker, armed with a Harpoon Pistol and Steam Saber: An alternative view showing the pistol and Steam Saber better: An alternative view showing the pistol and the Steam Watch (Inspired by Chaosfish and his Time Splitter fig): I hope the pictures are ok as he looks great to me but sometimes the lens makes it look a little different... I must work on my photography. Jasbrick
  18. These were made by me... The saber gun uses TLC parts whilst the sword cane is made from a TLC pistol handle, a drilled TLC grey wand and a Brickarms prototype bayonet blade. Jasbrick
  19. Hi, The following are 95% complete (require a bit of painting and touching up) however I thought I would post them as a WIP. Anyway the concept is The League of Extraordinary Minifigs... which is an experiment I am working on for the following reasons: 1. I wanted to perfect the optics concept (Randalls goggles); 2. I wanted to play with some unconventional uses for the Bayonet prototype that Will at Brickarms sent me (Prof M's Sword Cane); 3. I love Steampunk! Anyway here they are the Incredible Professor M. and his loyal bodyguard and companion Randall: Close up of Prof. M. and the Sword Cane: Close up of Randall showing his visor and SaberGun: Great fun to do... and hopefully you will like them as well. Jasbrick
  20. Thanks. The grenade clip is made from the end of this: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItemPic.asp?P=4735 Jasbrick
  21. Are you referring to his Chastity Grenade? Jasbrick
  22. Hi, Crispin the Lego King over on the Brickarms forums came up with a fantastic Optic mod (based on my other optic designs) for his new faction the Tormentians and kindly gave me permission to use his version of the idea. Therefore I thought I would create a new fig design in his honour. The concept is based around a Post Apoc Steampunk cross that fits in with my other factions the Brikviets and the 'Corporation'. I give you the Briktish Knight of the Order of St. Crispin... the patron Saint of Kickass!: Here is an alternative view that shows the shield weapons and the side of the optic mod: I hope you like him as much as I enjoyed putting him together. Jasbrick
  23. Hi, as I have done a round up of the Brikviets I thought it was only fair that I did the same for the 'Corporation': Corporation HALO Specialist: Corporation Exosuit Captain: Corporation Combat Cyborg: Corporation Accountant: Corporation Audit Team: Corporation Marksman: Corporation Special Forces: Much less than the Brikviets so I thought I would deeplink the lot... I hope that is ok. Jasbrick
  24. Thanks for moving this... Yes these guys do need an MOC and I am currently assimilating the best apoc stuff out there at the moment to come up with something. Anyway to answer your question, the weapons are all Brickarms whilst the armour and accessories are items that I have made using modified TLC and clone parts. I have a whole other faction that I have alond similar lines and I will post those as well. Jasbrick
  25. This is amazing. The mad-eyed chap is enough to convert me to Steampunk alone. As with all your creations I love the detail and design decisions you make. Jasbrick
