  1. Hey Eurobricks Community, A while ago I discovered the most amazing Indie game I know of, yes, it is Minecraft. An infinite sandbox game in which players construct and explore the world, you mine resources and then use them to fuel your imagination. It also uses advanced physics in the form of redstone which enables a more technical side of the game for those who wish for that. The game has surpassed the sales of 2,700,000 copies and has more than 10,000,000 signed up users on the site. For those who don't know anything about Minecraft, look no further, I have all the information you need: The Official Minecraft Site The Minecraft Forums The Yogscast- A Minecraft Famous Youtube Group ArchMageMelek- A Youtuber whose videos I recommend. So this thread is basically meant as a discussion topic on the game and to enable the EB users to be able to interact with other Minecraft enthusiasts. So whether you are a builder, an explorer or just want to know more about the game then post here and we can talk about all sorts of minecraft related stuff. Minecraft Eurobricks Server Thanks to the very generous member and Minecraft player pinioncorp we now have an EB server for all EB's users to play on. At the moment it is still being set up and as a trial, but feel free to come along and develop the server. Below is the server address: sc23.servercraft.co:2957 Yours Eskallon
  2. Yeah, I think you will definatly be able to build all you want seen as their are builder vendors on pretty much every world. Hopefully they won't restrict that part of the game to Premium though.
  3. Oh please scary Madmin, don't hurt us...
  4. Hey Quarryman, I have been waiting for a new game and would love to take part in a Belville setting, it intrigues me and I would really enjoy the experience. History? Well I have had the pleasure of playing in 8 games and hope to play in many more over my time. I am always eager to learn more and enjoy a new type of experience on EB and hope you will select me for this opportunity. I have no plans until August in which I go on holiday so I am good for this game. Expect a PM from me soon. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to sign up for what looks like a great game. Eskallon
  5. Great work with the tent and all you have achieved so far, this is certainly the best medieval landscape built in Lego which I have seen in a while. I simply can't wait to see the project completed. Good Luck with the final leg of the build. Eskallon
  6. @Brickdoctor When I played for the month I found that to advance and get more imagination, yes you do need to go into more than 3 levels and I also found that you need to go out into more worlds if you want to have any chance at gaining the better gear. However I suspect that the game will be tweaked to allow the F2P players to gain some decent gear.
  7. Great work on this 3D model, it looks absolutely fantastic. Out of interest, how long does it take to make one of these and do you make each piece separately?
  8. I love this technique and find it to me it seems like the best possible way to build and round tower, no other way will ever the give the quality way of how this works. I would love to one day the 'great tower' from Hogwarts being built like this.
  9. Well for me this is not very interesting. I received the game along with a months free membership free in the post from the Lego for being a VIP member and I did play it for a few days. However I simply found it too childish, their is little room in the game to go and explore the lands like in real more established mmorpg and the game also gets boring after a while of playing. It try to focus on the fact that it is all Lego rather than focus on the areas to explore, it also seems to be a lot of collecting pointless items. However despite this I have no problem with anyone playing the game and in fact I even recommend trying it yourself because we all will like and dislike it for different reasons. If it is indeed coming free I recommend you do check it out.
  10. Happy Birthday Sandy and Captain Zuloo, may all your Lego wishes come true on this special day.
  11. While first looking at the set I though it was a real disappointment and was too expensive for what it is. However as I look at the set more and more I am liking it more too. The price though is still way too high, for that price I may aswell design and build my own more accurate version. I am going to have to have a good think about whether I want to pay that much for this set.
  12. Well I agree and disagree on the matter at hand. It can be great to walk into a store and see all the shiny new sets which you want to take home and discover. If we see them online though it is still a nice surprise but it doesn't give the same feeling as actually seeing the sets. Also when you discover the sets online others have already been talking about it so there is nothing which you can get excitement from in terms of self discovery. However on the other hand it is great fun to see the sets online too. It has become the norm for AFOL's on these fansites to see the sets early and this makes seeing them a surprise in itself. As well as this often not all the sets are shown at once which means the sets keep surprising us. It also enables us to be able to plan ahead and allocate savings towards sets. So what's the solution? Well we can't ex pect EB to change for the minority that do not enjoy seeing the sets early but you can make use of the sites current features. As a few have suggested you can bookmark the frontpage forum where you can just view the frontpage articles that interest you. Another alternative is to never view the frontpage at all and find topics which interest you on your own. Yours Esky
  13. Wrong, it's a super awsome TV show which has cute, adorable ponies in it as well as interesting stories and good characters. Not to mention the animation... Unfortunately my laptop broke today.
  14. Well I am not sure what will happen. I hope that it is to the same standard but I do have a feeling that it is as good as it gets which means it can only go down. However as long as they keep the characters interesting and the stories exciting, it will be a success.
  15. First off, lets not question Siegfried he is omniscient when it comes to the boards. Everyone be sensible, take it seriously and don't get into arguments with Lightningtiger and I am sure we can keep this topic here. Right Admins. I heard season two is coming back in Q4 of 2011. Production for the second series began in april this year and is set to end in December, however they intend to show some of the episodes before the very end of the production.
  16. My Avatar= Emperer Claudius Rome, lovin' the sig
  17. When I saw this topic earlier I was like Then well, I admit, I am becoming a brony. I have only watched the first 6 episodes but they are pretty good. I am man enough to admit that I even kinda enjoy them. The characters are interesting, the animation is great and the stories are fairly interesting too. I am also enjoying seeing the cute little ponies. I am excited to see more of the episodes. Oh, I like Rainbow Dash and Applejack the best, they are the cutest of all cute ponies in ponyville. Now I need to go find an avatar, oh god I sound like a real brony
  18. A thread to be british Loads of rain today but hopefully it is sunny right now which is a plus.
  19. Hey all, Lord Of the rings return of the king is on channel 4 and the battle scenes have not yet began so get on and watch it if you want to see some epic fighting.
  20. Exactly, normally the different parts are in different sections on a large board though, so you will be able to tell easily which of each item belongs to each category.
  21. Hey Zeya, The Build a minifig section varies from store to store. Normally it is: 1 hairpiece or headgear 1 head 1 torso 1 legs and 1 accessory. However some stores will let you take any 15 elements which is great if there are some 'special' pieces.
  22. A big Happy Birthday to you Siegfried, our favourite walrus, may all your birthday wishes come true on your special day. Enjoy your virtual cake from Lydia.
  23. Looks a lot more accurate now , I love that large bay window which resembles the real one remarkarbly well. I cannot wait to see more of this WIP project.
  24. Hey Stash, Sorry for being so late, but I only just saw this topic, if there is time, can you please include me with a different avatar this year, pictured below. If it is too late to get parts for him then can you try and use last years avatar which if so I will post a picture. (This guy without the cape or wand)
  25. I like the idea of a Apoc build (or city), we could perhaps go with a space one though as it is another one of those main themes.
