  1. Its honestly one of my favourite games to this day, I just love the way it works and the lake town section itself was gorgeous. I cant wait to see a new game and what there take on the book/film is.
  2. Wow Its always a pleasure to see a Lotr/Hobbit creation, but to see 10 in one go is even better. These are all great creations, I love the foliage and house techniques in 'queer lodgings" but for me 'Flies and Spiders" has to top it. Being my favourite scene in the book, this creations captures perfectly my imagination of what the scene would have looked like. Great job and keep up the good work. Is the "Fire and Water" MOC based on the 2001 PS2 Hobbit Game?
  3. Hiya everyone, First off I hope you all had a great Christmas filled with fun and joy and well since all the other forums already have a topic like this, I suppose its time for us to have one too. A place where you can share your lucky (or not so lucky) hauls. So come share your stories and presses' with us here, or if you dont celebrate christmas then feel free to share with us a little summary of what you did yesterday. I will start it off, this year I received the amazing game Assassins Creed Revelations and was given money to spend on Tuesday when we go out shopping to West-fields. Not a bad haul and I got what I wanted and I look forward to going shopping soon. Today was spent relaxing with the family and eating Christmas dinner, that is until I ate too much rubbish afterwards. Feeling sick I go and decide to lie down in what happened to be dog puke Then going to my own room and spending an hour playing Half Life 2.
  4. I joined in November 2008, I used to visit the Brother Brick Blog Site for all my lego information. I would constantly see all these amazing MOC's coming from EB and then one day I clicked onto the site and here I am. I saw even more great builds and I fell in love with the interface and user-friendliness, even the admins, mods and users were friendly and welcoming not just to me but everyone who has ever joined the site. I'm Member 4444, and god I am proud to be so. This site has changed a fair bit over the years while I have been here, but at the same time it hasnt changed at all. There will always be friendly people here to talk to, always MOC's to marvel over and always shadows in the shadows. I know we dont want a boring old topic and I will only be repeating what others have said. It feels like yesterday we had 10,000 members and I was writing in a similar topic, EB will always be strong and will always be the heart of the online AFOL Lego community.
  5. I just watched a film called Escape From Sobibor, its a brilliant film set in WW2 and revolves around a Jewish Death Camp (Sobibor) and how the biggest revolt and escape took place. It is based on a true story and once you get past the first 32 seconds you realise how amazing the film is. I dont want to give out to much information, because I would rather you all went and watched it so heres a little synopsis from Wikipedia. Escape from Sobibor is a 1987 British made-for-TV film which aired on CBS. It deals with the extermination camp at Sobibor, the site of the most successful uprising by Jewish prisoners of German extermination camps (there were two other uprisings, at Auschwitz and Treblinka). The film was directed by Jack Gold. On October 14, 1943, members of the camp's underground resistance succeeded in covertly killing eleven German officers and a number of Ukrainian guards. Of the 600 inmates in the camp, roughly 300 escaped, although most were later re-captured and killed. The escape forced the Nazis to close the death camp, dismantling it and planting a forest. Here is a youtube link for anyone interested, please beware, the film contains heavy violence, nudity and some bloody scenes. Id say if you are under the age of 14/15 and can be squeamish then dont watch this, but otherwise, enjoy. :
  6. Thats an amazing card. Merry Christmas to all, may your LDD wishes come true!
  7. The new map looks sexy. I disagree with the use of all those roads though, and if we do have them then lets make it less static and feel like more fun than a bedrock line. Also Pin, near the town plan I was trying out some voxel sniper which was fine. However it seems that after I had removed a segment of the bedrock path, that it will not allow me to place the bedrock back, so could you please do that for me. Oh, also, for the new roads, there is a plugin called Minecart Mania which you may want to take a look at.
  8. Yeah, I would be happy to try my hand at hosting again, I learnt from the first build to allow people to either allow people to build freely or just give them a set thing to build and now know to make sure to round it off at the end without leaving it bare. I did have many plans and still have a fair few written pieces for the end of the Venator Build on my computer. On another note, I would love to accept that sexy tag.
  9. Hi ISC Well I certainly have enough bricks, and I have the will. So eskallon is signing up. I havent built anything in a while so now may be the perfect time for this. Hmm, I would say that to make everything smooth it would need to be grouped within the similar interests. This would keep everything in order rather than having different factions all over the place. P.S- Would you rather we disscussed this in the other topic or is either acceptable?
  10. Well to be honest if they were tping to you and killing you then you were probably being annoying and asking stupid questions. If someone who has no clue logs on and cant work anything out then yeah, you will be jailed and abused. Also were you breaking the rules or flying? If your gonna make a bad review then whats the point, if you dont like something then just log off. People dont need to see a bad review of the server and tbh if your the type of person to do that then you are probably a 12 year old with nothing better to do other than be sad and lonely. Whats your username?
  11. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_profilepage&v=hqkpYmHNUBA Theres the link, thats the server I play on a lot of the time. Its all survival and public. People can be even more creative when they have the world around them to play with.
  12. For Pinion: http://forums.somethingawful.com/showthread.php?threadid=3383735&userid=0&perpage=40&pagenumber=352#post391085902 Also about all these fly mods and such, they are complete lag fests. Many servers have strict rules of no more than 1-3 plane in the air at a time and this is on a large server in itself. Any mod thats server side that moves players or blocks like that will lag the server. I recommend we use the following plugins to achieve a better sense of community: Herochat: Gives the server a whole new meaning. I would have already reccomended it but now we are going public it will prove useful. It gives 3 main modes. 1) Local chat, the people withing a 50 block radius can hear this which makes it good so not to clutter up the main chat. 2) general chat, anyone can hear this as it is used for openly speaking. 3) help chat, this is a bright colour and is used when a player wants a mod/admins help. Lockette: This is a simple plugin which protects chests and doors, only the maker and anyone he adds to the protection can open them. It is very simple to use and easy to make. Voxel Sniper: For admins only, this allows us to model the terrain. It would be useful to make all these islands you guys want to see.
  13. Wow, I am absolutely blown away with this. Its a huge treat to be able to see how you buid your MOC's and see them come to life. One of the things I like is that while we may not have all the bricks, this guide isnt even centred on that. Its a thread of techniques and tricks. Anyone can do it, even if there on a 16x16 baseplate or a 48x48, you have done a great job with explaining and I am so thrilled that you decided to make it. I may have missed it, but how big do you intend this to be, or will it be expanded as you feel like it?
  14. I will ask around, I know a lot of gamers online and I will try and see if any of them own the magazine.
  15. Why is it always you that gets the problems... You, you... play minecraft. I havent been on for about 2 month's but I will be visiting more hopefully. I have had some IRL issues and have also been playing a lot on the Flux Gaming server and the Silver Republic server.
  16. I hate my own tendency to be a druggie... Oh and I am not back, not yet. Im coming though. Sorry to you though Hink, I need to make that up to you.
  17. I think that we should go whitelist for a while, let pinioncorp only add those who can be trusted?
  18. Hey, I got back from holiday yesterday and unfortunatly I lost the IP of the server. Can you please PM me the IP and add me to the whitelist.
  19. Hey all, To quote the Brother's Brick: ---------------------- For the past 3 years, MOCpages has hosted a building tournament called the MocOlympics. This is a competition where 64 qualifying builders play head to head in single entry elimination rounds until a winner is crowned. It’s a lot of fun to play or watch as each set of builders only have 10 days to build an entry after the announcement of a theme. The winner will have built 7 MOCs over the course of more than 3 months and will be rewarded with 10214 Tower Bridge. There are other prizes as well, so head over to the contest group if you’re interested, or you can also check out last year’s competition. Here’s a trailer that gives you an idea of the quantity and variety of entries from last year. --------------------- I saw this and since I havent built anything in a while, I decided I would go all out for this one, try my best and have some fun. It occured to me that with the MOC team tournament which name escapes my mind there was an EB team so while this is a solo event, I thought it would be good to bring this exciting event to your attention. Anyway without further ado, lets all get signed up. -Esk
  20. Hey, Sorry I have been inactive the past week, I am still on holiday and unable to use minecraft. Anyway the buildings look great and I can't wait to see them upclose. Esk
  21. Come and join, there is no whitelist so you're good to go. Ip can be found on page 4 and in the first post.
  22. It looks like a fairly good, useful feature. My only issue is the price, why would I pay for something which I can already use for free by going on Safari? Still, I support this and if it is free for the site (with some hard work from the admins) then I guess it would be a good thing.
  23. Oh well, it was good while it lasted. Thanks for letting me play and I look forward to seeing how it all pans out.
  24. Thats what I am sitting doing right now.
  25. I will check it all out now. Do you mind if I add some of the info to the first post for easy viewing?
