Heroica RPG - Quest #99: Six Thousand Feet Under
LordoftheNoobs replied to Endgame's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Ooh yes, good idea." Grimwald consumes his Smelling Salts, and equips the Lens of Speed Reading that Arthur lent him in place of his Tricorne. (OOC: I tried bolding the action but it wouldn't let me.) -

"Oh yes, I hope it's not the case either. That would most likely... complicate things somewhat." "Anyhow, whatever the case, we need to find out as much about this thing as we can. Is there anything, anything at all, else that you can tell us about this thing?" -

"Wait... a steamboat's horn? Hmm... Erdathcath, let me see that drawing again..." The Gnome looks over the automaton picture carefully. "Something tells me it's not a monster we're after... it's some kind of robot! ...Er, maybe." -

Grimwald approaches the man with the moustache. "Hello sir, the name's Grimwald. My colleagues and I are here to see if we can get to the bottom of this whole monster business. Is there anything you may be able to recall about this creature that might help us find it and bring it down?" -

"Excellent, sounds very much worth my time. And if I can help you nice miners while I'm at it, so much the better", Grimwald smiles sincerely. "And yes, that's sounds like a good idea. I'm ready." -
So glad I'm not a part of this whole Baltarok thing - don't get me wrong, it's really cool, but the entire thing seems too confusing for me.

"Err... I, hmm. Good question, I don't recall being told, but that could just be my old age messing with my memory again... Erdathcath, Arthur, do either of you remember what the name of the ship we're supposed to catch is?" -
Well, that's something I suppose.

"Yes, it has been while. Hope you're as good with a sword as you were with magic! " As Arthur passes some items to Grimwald, he wobbles about bit trying to keep a hold of it all. "My goodness, you do have a lot of things! Thank you for lending them to me, I'll take good care of them." Grimwald then turns to the other men. "Yes, that's right, but it doesn't seem to be immediately... noticeable. Guess we might have a little wait still." -

OOC: Yep, everything looks fine. I can't think of anything for Grimwald to say right now, but I figured I should confirm I'm here. -
Grimwald signs up for Quest 99.
-
Grimwald overhears the conversation and decides to join in. "He says his name's Oilan. He didn't say much else, truth be told." He pauses briefly to sip at his drink, then continues. "You look a bit different since last I saw you, Arthur. Given up wizardry, have you? Oh, and Em, I meant to ask, how do you like the Iron Knuckle armour? Looks like you'll be able to take a beatin' in that!"
-
Grimwald also signs up for Quest #98, eager at the chance to meet more Gnomes. All the same, he was still looking forward to the possibility of visiting the Fields of Glory.
-
Grimwald turns to the monk, thinking he might've seen him around before... "Oh, hello there. I'm a gnome actually... well mostly, I think I'm one-quarter dwarf or something... Also, I've been part of Heroica for a while now, I've just been away visiting family for a few months. Anyway, enough about me, what's your name?"
