  1. I think this ship is very well built, but looks too tall for how wide it is. I think the builder would do better by making his own hull, and not using the pre-molded official ones. I also agree on that the masts should be taller, and the sails a bit bigger. As for the SR vs. the SES, while I'm no ship expert, I agree with Norro. Because even though the SES may be a faster and more agile ship, in order to get the SR into their range, they need to sail into the range of the SR, which would blow them to pieces. *pirate*
  2. Not if their power is out!
  3. I'm just going to echo what Gylman and Dunamis said: I don't know, and don't want to. ;-)
  4. Maybe if you described him or posted links to the various parts he uses, someone here could recreate him for you?
  5. It's actually light grey I believe... I agree with you that the building's architecture doesn't look like an Islander's, but do you think it could maybe be a ruin that they found, and added their statues to? The way the roof (or lack there of) is built makes it look kind of like that to me.
  6. Well, you posted earth, then Cutty posted a dwarf. In most fantasy stories, dwarves are known for being very good at digging, carving, mining, etc. I then posted a picture of a balrog, which is a fantasy creature from Lord of the Rings. In the books/movies, the dwarves dig too deep into a mine of their's, and awake the balrog, which if I recall correctly, along with some goblins, kills off all the dwarves. I hope that makes sense. I'm not sure I get Deino's though... BTW, I'm assuming you meant Cutty's and my pictures. I think Dark Avenger's picture just didn't show up. If that actually was his image though, I don't understand it... :-$
  7. I think what happened there was that Mariac put in a bid of 250, when the bidding was at 210. Then if someone else bids at say, 220, since Mariac put in 250 before hand, it justs bumps up the price to 220, with Mariac still on top. At least I think that's what happens...
  8. G'bye! Have fun at Legoland. :-) I was wondering about your Admin tag. I thought it had something to do with History forum, but wasn't sure. I really like what your doing with the skin too! For a while I had it as my defualt skin, but have changed it back for now because you can't use Apo's smilies in it. *knight*
  9. Exactly! ;-) Welcome EB Timmy. :-)
  10. Nice review! I really like this set, but doubt I'll get it, as I'm more a fan of castle and space, and the price is a bit high for me. :-/
  11. Kenji. I can't really tell whether your trying to annoy us, or are just really thick. I'm beginning to think the former, but can't really tell. If it is the latter, Hobbes didn't do or say anything to make the customer service mad, or to mess up his order. It was just a mistake by the customer service. :-|
  12. Neat Knight, Ghoulrealm. :-) Is the bat axe thing attached to the knight, or just part of the background?
  13. Nice! It's very well built. The one thing that looks strange to me is how tall it is. I think it would look better if it were made shorter, or you extended the hull. But that's just my opinion. I also wonder about the cannons, but since it's a fantasy ship, I guess it works fine. Does it have an interior? Overall, a neat creation. *y*
  14. Hello all, This is a cool pirate island I found on brickshelf by user butanox. (at least I'm assuming it's a pirate island. The discription is 'castle' but it looks like more pirate to me) and thought I'd share it with all of you. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=193435 It looks pretty cool, and the landscaping is really well done. Too bad the pictures are so small. :-(
  15. How come picture on the box and the final modle are different? Does it have intructions for the one on the box? Anyway, thanks for yet another review Dr. Lucky! :-) I like this set, and would like to get it, but I might not. The wall isn't designed great, it looks more like a bunch of pieces stuck together, but there are some nice pieces, like the corner tower pieces and the doors. The same thing with all the siege weapons. But like mentioned, the highlight of this set is definitely the amount of figures and weapons for the price. *y*
  16. I actually like those pieces, though when used in creations that aren't Ninja they usually don't look very good. (Keith Goldman is great at using these just about anywhere) But if used right, I think they look good. :-)
  17. I own the Black Falcon's Fortress, and I got the AT-AT when it first came out. They are the same color of grey. Does anyone know if the AT-AT was rereleased in bley? I thought I heard something about that, but can't remember.
  18. Thanks for the review, Dr. Lucky. :-) I think this is a nice set overall. I really like the catapult design, and the dragon skull on it. I have mixed thoughts on the dragon though. I think it looks pretty neat, but with all those silver armor parts, it almost looks more like a robot to me then a dragon. I think that the saddle part is a nice touch.
  19. Nice review Brickster! *y* This set looks a lot better then I first thought it did, but I still don't really like it. I doubt I will buy it, unless I see it on sale some where.
  20. Thanks for sharing! This is indeed a beautiful creation. Everything is well done. I've always wanted to build something like this, but can never get the style right, plus I never seem to have enough roof pieces.
  21. Hey Brickweasel, welcome! For your question, I think the best place to ask would be just the Lego news and general discussion section. :-)
