  1. Does one of you have a Volkswagen Beetle (VW Beetle) # 10187 you are thinking of selling for a fair price, around 300 $ MISB? I am also very interested in 9 V trains and Power function stuff for the RC trains! Morten
  2. Yes Holodoc Ones again you pull the air-line promos. I will take two of those and call you in the morning Morten

    Farewell

From a very close friend there is also a huge good-bye. You did a fantastic job in EB and I know you will do it even bether at TLG. They a very lucky to get you working for them. I think this is a great thing for both you and your family. On top of that I hope you now have more time to build some great Star Wars MOCS again, now when you don´t have to spend time moderating others work!! Morten
  4. Thanks oh mighty Moderator You are very good with your camera! Morten
  5. Thanks for the comments. I have put the pictures in my brickshelf account and placed a link, and i have made 2 small movies and put on youtube, se link on the first post. One movie shows the MOC with the moving parts etc. The other movie shows the loop of train-wagons, covering the hole train-track, so that it is not possible to see anything but tan tiles. When you have a loop of wagons, the G-force is no problem, since the loop can´t chage its lenght, and that is what keeps it from falling of the track. I have three 9 V motors pulling the ting, they had a hard time keeping the land-speeder flying for 7 hours a day for 4 days i a row! Please give me your comments. Morten
  6. At LEGOWorld Copenhagen 2012 I was lucky to get elected to exhibit a LEGO-MOC. I have worked on this scene almost 1 year, started march 2011, and have worked around 300 hours on the layout. I chose Tatooine from Star Wars A New Hope. I Have tried to make a MOC that is not very large but with high quality. I have worked a lot on the buildings using different building-techniks, made moving features, light is installed in all buildings, the hole layout is covered with tiles, and the most important thing have been the "flying" landspeeder, where I used 9 V train-tracks, with 26 train-wagons covered with tiles, covering the hole track, so that it is not visible for the spectators. The layout is 96 x 240 studs, using around 30.000 bricks, including 7000 tiles. On the mountain is Tusken Raiders and a Bantha (inspired by Baronsats version). Over the layout is the two caracteristic suns, brick-build tiled spheres, orange and yellow. It has been very interesting to work on this layout, and it was so cool to show it to around 37000 visitors at LEGOWorld 2012. Brickshelf folder when moderated: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=497796 Here a few pictures: And e few pictures that I used for reference And tre track with the "train" moving Hope you like it. Morten
  7. That is just brilliant. I am looking forward to next episode. Great job. Morten
  8. I am all in! Morten
  9. My point exactly, the other Cars are really cool parts in special colors, lots of printed parts etc. This is just basic stuff with a few stickers. Morten
  10. I think the "Torgue" looks like a car that will only come in this form in this set. The cars in all the other sets looks much more well designed, pritet parts, etc. This "Torque" looks like left hand work for ToysRUs, if you ask me. Hoping for another version though. Morten
  11. I think the oil-rig looks very cool. I love the "smashed" car in the back-ground. Have they changed the color of Grem to orange, like he is in the movie, or is that another car? A must-have, one for me and one for my sons. Morten
  12. The special Cars2 event sounds very funny. Shame that it is not happening in ToysRus in Denmark. Looking forward to seeing how Rod “Torque” Redline looks like. It is a little late (and expensive) to buy plane-tickets to the US for just this thing. Americans please give us a "review" of the different events. Thanks. Morten
  13. I got hooked on Cars too, and I gave my two sons the MCK-truck and the plane, so I had to get an extra copi of those sets to have a complete collection! Luckely they had 50 % of in a toy-store today, and KimT was nice to me and bought them for me! Looking so much forwrd to see the next line. Hoping for more Cars 1 sets, The harvester, the tracktors etc. Morten
  14. I thought too that this would be a way to get the wind-screen. I will not pay the price on BL for the santa-fee version. A lot of older danish trains has red windscreen like Santa Fee, so this makes it cheaper tom make train MOCs. Try and change the panels on the side, so all the windows are the same color. Morten
  15. Very good idea to get the date for next years event allready. I will come! After getting my third son in 4 years, this summer, there will be no child-birht to get in the way of the Eurobricks event 2012. It lookes like you had a lot of fun this year, sorry i could not make it. I will make up for it in 2012. Morten
  16. Does the 10173 Holiday Train "not count" in this series? Morten
  17. KimT and I are driving to Gotherbourg the 13th of may, and we can bring stuff to gothenbourg from the LEGOstore like the new pet shop if any-one is interested? Off-course it is only interesting for swedish AFOLs if there is money to save. I don´t know the price yet. Morten
  18. I was just in the LEGO store in Copenhagen, and the store manager tolled me that they will have for sale the 10th of may, so I am pretty sure that is when the "world release" will be. Morten
  19. I haven´t bought Power Function yet, but it just had an old 9 V motor unit in the Mærsk-train, and it works perfect. It is not possible to install Lights in the front, like Santa Fee and the BNSF. I think I will keep using the 9 V systems. Morten
  20. I am picking up the trains for KimT and I tomorrow, and we will do a the build this weekend, so review can be expected saturday night. I am really looking forward to this baby! Morten
  21. So well over LEGOWorld i finaly have a few pictures to post. I hope KimT have more pictures, because I only have these 5. The platform ended up being very good I think, I would like some more details. The ground area I have to improover. Like I wrote the platform was ment to be more like a sculpture with only a small area around, but I was asked to make 12 x 3 baseplates of Endor scene, which I did not really had the bricks for. Morten
  22. I am looking for the 10133 Burlington Northern Santa Fe Locomotive, it has to be MISB, and box in good condition. I know I can buy it at bricklink, but thought I would aske here anyway. Send me a PM. Morten
  23. I will be at the event all 4 days, I will be at the Fan area on "duty" looking after the fan MOCS, among that my Endor scene, thursday, friday afternoon and sunday, hoping to see alot of EB people. Morten
  24. I have seen your Endor scene Sir von Lego, very impressive work, cool scenes great job. My idea was just to make a proper landing platform to really show the new super cool UCS Emperial shuttle, my favorite Star Wars vehicle, not so much to do a huge Endor scene. I have thought of this more like a sculpture. I must say the Lampda Shuttle dmac has done and his trees are so very cool, I am looking much forward to seeing his version of the landing platform. Morten
  25. Thanks for all the comments. Will not post pictures untill after LEGOWorld 2011, next week. The status at this time is that the platform is done, offcourse it could allways be more more accurate. I had a plan with some light-up stuff in it, but did not have the time, hope to add that later. We are working on the green stuff, and that is very difficult. Like KimT wrote we used up all the green in very few baseplates, and the people arranging LEGOWorld asked me to do 3 x 12 baseplates and not 3 x 7 which was my plan originally, so that is a challenge. What I would have love to have done was something like this: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4571727 That is great endor work, but it takes so many treeleaves etc so that is not an option right now. Looking forward to post pictures. Morten
