Sorry mutley, but I have to disagree with you this time. I havn't got this set yet, but hope to get it soon. I personally think it is a very nice design, sure, room for improvement, but nice, none the less. I'm going to ingnore price, as I don't think It's fair to compare a 2004 SWL price to a 2010 one. We all know thay have changed durasticly. To be honest, 4501 was a really bad set, set wise. Sure, Greedo is great, as is the dewback/sandtrooper. But the set itself was rubbish. I'm happy with just a landspeeder to be honest. Nice enough figs (would have loved a dewback though ) And IMO, the landspeeder is quite a good model. I'm looking forward to this set Thanks for the great review!

Thanks for the good review This set intrests me. I have the original, and love it. It is overpriced, We can all admit that, but sales are always around if you have a good eye and a bit of patience I'll try pick one up, Mainly for the Fig/s. Then compare them next to each other to decide which looks better in my kashyyyk scene (only have room for one ) Look forward to getting it

Hey guys! Wow - lots to catch up on eh? Man, about 2 weeks ago my account got really screwed up, and I was rejected from EB since - wasn't able to do anything related to the site. But luckily, thats fixed now. I also just got back from holiday yesterday too. Theres really not that much news , just more threadcrap - no offence ment to anyone, but thats just my opinion.... I'm sure there were some good discussions. Anyway, the only new thing I've noticed it the new pics of the MINI's, Which are IMO very average. I actully prefer the original MINI X-wing But, Luckily I don't collect Mini's anymore anyway (BTW, PM me if you want any of them - or SW technic sets for that matter) I'm personally quite dissapointed with the 2010 lineup. There's nothing really astonishing or super cool. There are a few reasonable sets, but there's a lot of sad excuses for sets around. Oh well, more money for MOCing and other themes nice sets. I look forward to hearing more about this romored UCS Great to be back!

10181 Effiel tower, $300NZ - bargian. Great set

But luckily, thats fixed now. I also just got back from holiday yesterday too. I had a great holiday - picked up the Effiel tower at TW Richmond. They had it for $400, then 20% off, then I was able to get it $20 off because the box was damaged, so I got it for $300 . It's a beautiful set - but huge. As in, almost too big. I have nowhere to put it It's so big. I might put up some pics later.... man. Great set - amazing set. Very rewarding build. I seriously reccomend it if there's still any around. I didn't, however, see any 2010 sets - but not that i really looked, I was on holiday . It's nice to hear some new sets are around. I haven't been able to go out yet, but sounds like most of them are. I'll hopefully go out tomorrow. $18 is great for BP's, a real steal - I'll try pick up a few of each tomorrow. I can't wait for Lukes speeder, it looks great, but I'm going to wait it out a bit. $50 seems steep for it, and seeing as farmers often has good sales, I'll wait till it's 30% off (gotta love farmers sales ) Not sure about the others yet - I might pick up the ARC and swamp speeder in due corse, but we'll see. Great to be back!

Nah, they're usually round by now. But do expect them earlier than the official release date. Thats usually a regular occourance. At least if you're happy to pay your local TRU markup I must say, 2010 doesn't look an amazing year for me. All I want is 1 new non-CW set that aint a remake. Can that be so hard? Ah well, they have some nice designs.

Nice entry! Its very busy and nicely designed- I love the 'Happy 2010' in the backround! One small query I have... This is a bit.... errr well, way bigger than 16x16 studs. It's 16 wide at the front, but at least (can't completely tell by the pics) 17 bricks deep. That ecuates to over 23 studs deep. I don't mind if Kim decides to still let it slip, its up to him, but I thought it should at least be pointed out -Legoman

I don't know about you guys, but I'm definately keen to order sooner rather than later, as last year things sold out very fast once on sale.

Thanks for the pics I Scream Clone and ForceMaster The more I look at it, the more I like lukes landspeeder. I hope its not overpriced in NZ. I love the Stormie w/black sholderbit. I'm thinking about getting less BP's than I originally thought. I just don't think I'll need many. I may get a pile of 7749 Echo bases instead, I actully prefer them. Still not convinced on any either the Tri-fighter or Arc. I just can't decide. I'll wait and see I think. Nicely designed though

Oh right, Sorry. You can't send PM's untill you have made at least 10 posts on the forums. Most of it. As Siegfried said, In most cases, TLG (The Lego Group) don't have middlemen. Here in New Zealand we do, as the main toyshop here is a franchise, not a chain store (we lack TRU - but thats good for smaller sellers like me). Most middlemen, if they are legit, won't do a good job of advertising. Middlemen tend to be people that wait for you to find them, rather than putting themselves out there to the general public. I say it's better to stay away from so called "wholesale sites" Its not a safe place and its very easy to beleive someone when you want to, wether or not its the truth.

Well, I'd suggest telling us the site, but anyway..... If it's Alibaba.com, Stay away. Anything to do with Alibaba is fraud.

Well I would check all my bases, definately. Check if it's a trusted site. I strongly suggest giving a link to this site on here. Or if it's some great deal you want for you, and don't want to share with the whole community, feel free to PM me or someone else with strong lego market knowledge. I've been collecting lego 10 years, selling for 3. And I've had my share of coming into concact with frauds, I'd hate for it to happen to any other EB member. Fake lego is quite rare, although it does exist. I've never seen fake Star Wars Lego, but I have of other themes. Frauds, however, are far more common. Hope this helps, Legoman

Sounds good. Although, I think I'll have to wait to see whats on sale and at what prices before I order. May I Invite Invite others to join in our order? (Fellow CHCH Lego nuts) Just thinking also.... There are quite a few Lego fans in CHCH. Anyone intrested in prehaps starting a LUG or something?
