  1. Wow. Truely stunning vig. I it. It captures the scene very well, and although it may be a tad cramped, it's still fine as it's not too smalll as to invade the epicness of the scene. The window is incredible. It's a shame it overhangs, but I personally couldn't care less. Amazing entry. However, I do have a couple of small hesitations A) The stairs being grey. I know what you're trying to accomplish with this. And it's not bad. But I think it sticks out just a little too much. You could prehaps use 4 1x2 light grey grills on a 1x6 black plate to create a darker effect? B) The grebling on beside the emperor. I Like that you've tried to add to the scene, but I personally feel that the grebles don't go with the perfection and harshness of the empire. Some lighter grbles would look great, but in this case, in this scene, in this scale, I think It's a bit too much. Up to you if you want to take any of this into consideration, And you have a lovely entry none the less. Good luck!
  2. Lego sale store... Are we talking PAB?? If so, I so hope I get there Sounds great. If you guys need any help with anything, feel free to give me a yell. Speaking of the Lego show, are you still working of the DS trench Harmacy? I got a Lego club magazine today after two years... Quite random. Not complaining though, I'm glad they decided to send me stuff again
  3. It's usually in Kapiti I beleive. Thats all I know fr this year
  4. Wow.... no way. That'd be crazy. You folk are lucky I don't live there Speaking of kapiti, Any news on the 2010 Lego show??? If I can find out whats happening early, I might plan on trying to get up there.. I wonder if TW will have any good deals...
  5. Although they are cool, I can't see any point in me buying them. They're not exactly cheap, and I don't really ahve much use for them personally. They're more just a novel concept then somthing I actully would want/use. Hence I did buy 3 in the end. It was intresting to notice Toyworld TJ has moved the Figures over to the other lego. Probably sick of people wasting space at the desk looking for certain figs. They had quite a bit of new sets there actully. But nothing unexpected. Still waiting on the new Star Wars sets...
  6. Well, having personally built the set, I think it should be RRP $250 Max. I'd never pay $350 for it
  7. You should have just said "I actully need 1000 of this one. Can you help?" The titantive is a pretty good buy, But unless you're desperate, don't forget It'll get dirt cheap in a few months
  8. Ah, well you liking it makes me feel special Thanks ...Thanks? First post updated with final good pic's. If you'd like some specific closeup's or other shots, please let me know -Legoman
  9. Definately much nicer than it was. I still feel there is room for improvement, but By what you've previously said, this entry obviously doesn't matter to you as much as your other's (which definately shows in the final model) I love your small entry, and like your big one, But I feel this one lets you down a bit. The main building is great. I love the way you designed it. Although I think the tree building up to it could be a tad more rounded than a square. But the rest of it looks a tad bland still. But It's totally up to you wether you want to make any further modifications. None the less, Great improvements, and I wish you all the best.
  10. Alright, Done. Now if you're still not happy then please, get lost (kidding, Of corse ) Here's a couple of pics to show you what I've done. Will be uploading full proper pic's tomorrow once I get some sleep EDIT: Bad pictures removed - Check out first post for Current pictures /Edit/ Hope you like if folks, as this is probably (hopefully) the final version
  11. I just finished. Your finding's will be very interesting, I'm sure
  12. That's only my display, I have heaps of other sets too, but I simply don't have room for them right now. Those pic's cover about 3/5 of my Star Wars collection. I've been collecting since 1999, the first year of Star Wars Lego
  13. $85! Wow thats a bargain
  14. But they are following the track! (AKA - I don't have enough of the right pieces ) EDIT: I'm giving it a go now. Argh you've made me take apart my beloved MMV /Edit I did attempt such things, But none of the looked quite right
  15. Alright guys, Sorry for the double post, but I'm finished and updated the pic's. Please let me know what you think. I have tried to incorperate all the suggestions that have been made, After all, You're the voter's
  16. Well, I had the camera out today. So here are a couple of pis of my current display. Enjoy In the third picture you can see 'Endor Capture' - my entry for the epic scenes contest. I'll be putting some of the new pics up for that soon too.
  17. No idea sorry. Will let you know If I see any. I'm not sure what the current stayus is on this set, But I personally was confused to find a few 6212 X-wings down at Farmers in Riccarton. They were priced At a crazy $120, and seeing as I have 3 already, I left them, but it's intresting to note they're still hanging around. Also, I've got some stuff I'm looking to clear out. Heres a (bad) picture of some stuff I also have Some construction stuff I'm looking to get rid of if anyone's intrested please let me know
  18. Congrats. Thats a nice we haul too
  19. That ^ (not that that's really worthy of a post ) Seriously though, I think this is the worst set this year. Even the figure selection is poor Ah well, It's still Lego, I guess they'll manage to sell them anyway. Are there any further Romours about Cloud city or anything? I've kinda left this thread in It's tracks for a while due to the Threadcrapping that goes on.
  20. Wow, ACPin. I must ask, How do you do it? You definately have a way with Lego. All of your MOC's (especially your recent ones)are so sleek. Everything is so perfect right down to the last detail! The use of tiles definately makes it great, but none the less, you have a way with lego which just has such a 'cool' factor that I can't get my head around. All the best with the compitition your entry is fantastic. I love the working of the archeticture, It's awe-worthy. I doubt I'll be entering a Large entry, as there are a heap of incredible ones already, and I'm trying to focus on my Medium entry. Best of luck! -Legoman
  21. Well, at least in my opinion. Sure it looks a bit like an AT-AT, but considering other versions, this seems like quite s step backward. 4483 (original AT-AT) was an incredible set, perfect on almost every level, a true stunner. Then they released 10178 (motorised AT-AT) Which lacked a few things, and the plates all around the outside didn't look right, but that was accepted due to the fact it was needed to make room for the motor. But this one is just as wrong, with nothing to show for it. Unless it's supposed to be an anarexic AT-AT? Thats just my opinion though, I know others will differ
  22. Wow, That AT-AT is a joke. Difinately passing on all those three (might pick up the speeder if I see it cheap). Oh well, At least I'll have money for those addictive Bricklink orders! And the Shuttle and Wampa Cave
  23. Well, I've had a couple in the last few days. A) 7662 MTT, 6212 X-wing, 7655 Clone BP, 7654 Droid BP All for NZ$195 B)7667 Stormie BP, 8014 Clone BP, 7663 Sith infiltrator, A 32x32 White Baseplate, A 16x32 White Baseplate, and a 16x32 DkBley Baseplate all for NZ$75
  24. Really? Thats intresting. The owner of Tower junction goes to my church The K-mart catalogue is intresting. I already got a titantive though so nothings that intresting. Airport is a good price if someone actully wants it...
  25. Alrighty folks, My bricklink order arrived. It's nearly done, But I'm finding the crown somewhat hard to make look bigger and be decent. I'll go find some inspraction Pic's will be up in the next couple of days
