I am currently working on a port and need a few suggestions on how to improve on some of my ideas. I want to put a seawall around most of my port and have docks along the seawall. I also want a few areas of just beach where the pirates can set up camp. Here are the pictures of a few techniques I was trying out for my seawall, docks, and beach. The back view. The ground won't be green in my complete port it will be grey under the wall. This is the wall design by itself. I added the little red line to add a bit of color and match the imperial soldiers uniforms. Here are a few buildings that will populate the port. I am still building more. For interior check out: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/93545 I already have the Governors Mansion and Bar complete. For more check out: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/92251 For more check out: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/91657 I still have the fort to build and many more seawall sections. Please leave any ideas or suggestions you may have.

I was considering putting this on but I ws too lazy to resize all the pictures . I also thought the interior wasn't the best but hey you guys like it so thanks!

This is good. I like the colors. Some possible improvements would be to add windows to the side of the cabin and add more sails.

Port Augustine & La Formidable, both WIP

Woah! This looks awesome! I love the sea wall and docks. The large building which I am assuming is a mansion is great. You need to try and improve your other buildings to match these awesome builds. Your ship also looks great! I can't, CAN'T wait for this to be finished. I also am building a port but am trying not to have to make a bricklink order yet. -
This is a great ship. I like the sails, the little features and overall shape and size. But you need to try and make the layers of your ship match. The first is all gray(which is perfect), the second is white with some grey it would look better if it was all white. Like that. If you just make the layers match then this ship would be perfect.

Thanks again. I really don't go for the historically accurate look. I like to add some humor and cleverness into my mocs by incorperating modern things just a bit more old fashioned.
-
Thanks. To answer your question this moc obviously isn't historically accurate considering they are playing pool but it is a piano. So what time period would this be in?

Wow you really captured the cheesy American car commercial well, but pirate style. I really like your sign especially the shark taking a nibble at the boat. The sales representatives are very funny. Your pick up boat and hybrid boat are clever. A hilarious creation!

Because it's a cool and useful piece for pirates. I do think it looks a little strange on the back and sides of minifigures without dwarf helmets.

Looks good to me. The only thing I would have done differently is I would have bought 10 soldiers arsenals and it would equal what you spent for the old soldiers and weapons plus you would have some extras. Also you might want to consider building your own hull midsections that saves a good amount of money. Here is a link that shows my technique for making my own mid sections: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/89996

Vig. 55d Governor Raul Pablo has recently enacted a new law which prohibits all alcohol in his port. A long time business owner Mr. Ricket had recently been losing money in the funeral home business because less people were getting killed in drunken brawls. He in turn decided to modify his funeral home/casket warehouse into the towns only bar. The exterior of the Funeral Home/Warehouse. I didn't have much of an option for the roof. If you havy any suggestions of other buildings or anything else that should be included in the port please tell me.

Here are my tutorials. On buiding a ship: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/89996 On making sails: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/79371

To Davy Blocks: I might make a larger ship tutorial but if you use the same techniques on my small ship on a larger ship the final outcome should still be the same. To Captain green hair: I didn't use the historically correct terms in this tutorial because this tutorial is aimed at helping those who may not know that much about ships especially kids. I personally don't like to build ships based off of historical ships because they seem a bit boring(just a personal opinion). I like adding fun and unrealistic features that make the ship more playable and interesting.

Woah this is going to be a great ship. I really like the colors and size. Good luck. I can't wait until it is finished.

Thank You! I also did that when I got the Medieval Market Place. Those horns look way, way better. What was lego thinking when they made those other viking horns? I hope those horns are more available in the new sets so I can update my vikings.

What an amazing scene! I really like your ship it looks cartoony and not so realistic but I think that's good for this kind of moc. The whale and minifigures are really comical. I really like the use of the new minifigure pieces on the unfortunate sailor who is getting attacked by the polar bear. You have really clever ideas.

This is a great ship and has really good details. I like the size and the cannons on both decks. The classic color scheme is nice. My only improvement is to change the yellow windows to white or another one of your main colors.

Thanks. I'm sorry about the large pics but I don't have photoshop so I have to do it on ms paint and it gets a bit tiring plus I have to re-save it.

My first MOC - "The White Flag" - Caribbean Tavern

Wow this is very impressive. This fits perfectly with the old lego pirate sets. The Lego designers couldn't have done better! Great job! -
Here is the complete ship with sails and crew. After enslaving the islanders and raiding their mines the Governor is feeling pretty powerful. So what does he do? He builts a ship overlaid with the stolen gold and names it after his Empire. Governor Raul Pablo sunbathing while being attended by his personal slaves. The Crew and Islander Slaves And if you want even more than check out: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=360322 OR even http://mocpages.com/moc.php/86335

I really like this. the tunnel and where the landscape drops look really cool and realistic. I also like the table you made where the king is making his evil plan...muhahaha! Your ballista is also really cool.

This is great! I really think the original brickbeards bounty was extremely wimpy. This is a huge improvement. I like the sides of the ship and the back of the cabin has great detail. I also really like the interior and functioning rudder. Now for some improvements.I think the sides of the cabin are a bit underdetailed compared to the back. I also think that the front of the ship where the figurehead would be needs some improvement. But other than those small details this is a really good ship.

I got the Medieval Market Village set and wanted to make a moc using the cows and here is the result. This is a would be CCC entry but I only built it today at the spur of the moment. The King was taking his horse on its daily walk when suddenly a robber hopped onto the road! With one attempt to kill the King the robber realeses his arrow. Oops looks like he shot the horse instead! The King desperate to catch the crook finds the closest mean of transportation available. And off he goes! He catches the petty robber and justice is served.

I know you said old pirate sets but if you bought 44 new pirate soldiers arsenal you could have the same amount of soldiers plus weapons for less than $150. With the rest you could order some heads to add variety to the soldiers. If you really want to stick to the old ones than i would go with the ship parts and bulk bricks. The possibilities are end less with pieces and you can buy a few soldiers to man your ships! I'm a ship man 100%, I personally think buying a lot of minifigures is a waste of money but that is me. Go with what YOU want because you will be the one using what you buy.
