MOC: In Search of the Snake Staff
user replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Nice small MOC and good use of the boulder and staff piece but What head is that on the pharaoh? -
I watched killer klowns from outer space and stayed up until about five.

I don't know maybe shaman's, witch-doctor's, chief's, or islander's quest perhaps? I'd love a new witch-doctor mini-fig with a huge mask or crazy make-up!
-
Now that you mention it, it does have certain "similarities"
-
He needs to be holding a giant rock though!

Well they could have a variety of temples and some decent tombs, there were many structures other than obelisks, pyramids, and the sphinx that the egyptians built. It'd also be cool if they could give us a better variation of mummies! Plus, the kingdoms line is still going on.

Man every time somebody digs up this topic it makes me even more aggravated that TLG had to change these sets so much!!!
-
Thanks for the pic! A HQ reasonably sized picture! It's kinda disappointing to see that that there are only four different types of aliens, when in SP3 each set had a new alien. But I guess I can't really complain about new pieces!
-
Wow this is exactly the feel I was trying to get when I was making my cyberpunk MOCs! Great work this is awesome I love all of the transparent signs and the whole ghetto futuristic idea of the whole thing!
-
Guys I'm pretty sure the "abduction feature" is just the fact that it lights up I don't think it's really going to use magnets or anything.
-
Yes I'm sure all of the ALIENS are very offended by the SP3. Especially since there are so many aliens that look exactly like Rench or Squidman out there, buying lego.
-
Have these pics been posted yet? They're much clearer and the head parasites actually have tentacles and a face! I really like the exposed brain on the alien commander and ther cyborg alien looks awesome too. http://www.flickr.com/photos/57393885@N03/page2/

One time in order to get the Mos Espa podrace set for cheap ($40) I bought it on my dad's Ebay account and paid him back later.
-
I only got one set so far, but it's a great one! I also got the weight lifter from CMS2 but that's not very special.
-
I'm going to try to incorporate more color in my creations (it seems everybody is sick of black) and to improve my sculpting skills with klay.

Wow I read the title way wrong! I thought you meant something a little more like this. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=ninjaunboxing2&feature=iv&annotation_id=annotation_177679

I'm glad that we finally get a new podrace set but I'm also kinda disappointed that this time we only get two racers. I was really hoping for an updated Gasgano or a new podracer never done in lego, like Klegg Holdfast or Teemto Pagalies. But what I'm wondering is what the heck is that minifig in the bottom left corner supposed to be? It looks like it has green hands and a brickbuilt head of some sort.
-
I'm pretty happy with these sets, especially the mothership! And it looks like there are scientists and soldiers so it might possibly have an area 51 type set later on! And I'm really glad that this one takes place on earth (since the alieans are abducting a farmer in one pic and a business man is being chased by a brainslug in another) and for once the badguy color scheme isn't black!

I really like the unique shape and details on this vehicle. The cannon on the top is a tad bit ridiculous but that only adds to the effect of this intimidating ship.
-
What about the invention of the lego brick, has nobody mentioned that? Before all lego was was just wooden pullstring ducks and stuff like that. I think that's probably the biggest change of all.
-
Couldn't you just message him?
-
He was speeding, running red lights and not stopping at stop signs, I know I'd use my freeze ray if I saw someone doing that.
-
Yeah if there was xenophobia then the cops would be to scared to fight them.

I found quite an interesting site while researching old Spyrius sets and I didn't recall anybody mentioning it here. This guy named Niklas Jansson made boatloads of concept art and notes just full of redesigns for classic space, newer space and even a completely new innovative design for the minifig and ways of storage and sorting! Some of his ideas are a little unrealistic but most of them I found very inspirational and ingenious and was wondering what your thoughts on his ideas were. Here's a LINK. And If you don't want to read his articles or click the link here's just some of my favorite designs by him. And here's possible his best idea, sorting trays that come with sets. I found all of these ideas very nostalgic of the feeling of wonder I used to have looking at old classic space catalogs as a kid and thought that some people here on EB would like to see them, I'd highly recommend reading his notes provided in the link.

Judging by the look of the soldier we're not getting that. I'd guess tat if we did gt a govornment/alien coverup theme then the person would look more like a secret service agent and less like a spaceman.
