Agents Gold Tooth & Henchman Redo
dieselboy m replied to dieselboy m's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Thanks. Yeah, that's what I like about the Agents villains, they're like characters out of a comic or cartoon. Kinda over-the-top. They just suffer from all wearing the same boring orange jumpsuits. If they had unique costumes, they'd be much better. Gold Tooth seemed like the kinda character who would want to pimp himself out in classy suits. I'm gonna try to redo the rest of the villains when I can re-imagine their get ups. -
This may have been discussed already, I apologize if this is a repeat topic. I didn't see any recent topics on this. Aw, isn't she cute? Hehe... Anyway, I'm no expert on either horses nor cows. I haven't been to a farm in a long time and I can't recall the last time I saw either animal up close. I don't think cows are very tall, but I'd imagine the average cow compared to the average horse would be a bit closer in height. In my opinion, the LEGO cow is a bit small. Not overly small, but I feel it could have been a bit bigger/taller.

I really like the characters from the Agents theme, especially the villains, I think they're pretty cool... Except for the fact that they all wear the same stupid Inferno jumpsuit. I borrowed the torso and legs from the Shanghai Chase Indy and Shanghai gangster and had Gold Tooth and the henchman try 'em on for size. I think they look quite snazzy...

To the mods/admins of Eurobricks, would it be okay if I were to use the EB emoticons in my LEGO photos and/or LEGO photo comics? Here's an example of some one-shot pics where I've tried using the EB emoticons... If it wouldn't be okay, I understand, and I'll remove the ones I've used and not use any of them again. But, if I would be allowed to, I will credit Eurobricks (and/or the owner/creator of the emoticons if provided with the information) in the credits of my photo comics. Thanks in advance!

I've been lazy to do a full review of the set, so for now, just wanna share some pics I took of the blacksmith and tavern buildings...

I am totally geeking out over these! So can't wait!

Hey all, I know this set is old news by now, and there's already been several reviews of this set posted. But, as I'm fairly new to EB and just starting to post more, I thought I'd share my Imperial Dropship review here also. I did this review in July of last year. I was late in getting the set because I was in the Philippines from June 2007 (until August 2008), so I wasn't able to buy it when it was released at retail in the US. But, in June of 2008 I asked my family to send it to me 'cause I was really eager to have it. And so I reviewed it at my blog site. It is mostly just a photo review, and while it has been reviewed several times before, it may offer a few things different. If for nothing else, my "for fun" pics. :) Please check it out at - http://smutoys.multiply.com/journal/item/3...perial_Dropship Thanks!

A few months back I ordered some accessories from BrickArms and Brickforge for the first time. Being a Halo fan, I was really excited to try them out, and here's a little shot I took to show off the great combo of BA and BF accessories. I'm sure there's been a lot of other minifig Spartans posted already, but I just wanted to share mine too. I'll be doing some action shots soon, I have three each of the red and blue Spartans.

Good stuff, KDog! I've only read the first 6 parts so far, but I fully enjoyed each one, and look forward to more!

Thanks, mania3, for posting those pics! I haven't been so excited for a theme in a while.

Photo & Video Review - LEGO Racers 8183 Track Turbo RC
dieselboy m replied to dieselboy m's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thanks for the compliments! And no problem, glad to contribute. Yeah, I know the general reaction will be that this is overpriced, but I think it's pretty fair for a LEGO RC in this size. Plus, that it's in system scale and brick based, it makes it that more worth it to me. Regardless of the size of the motor/receiver unit, there's a lot of potential with this for creating vehicles for minifigs, which is the main reason I got it. Yes, it is. -
This sounds like a good sign. I haven't checked any stores this past week ('cause I'm broke, haha), but it's nice to hear Target stores are finally restocking. Hope to pick up some more 2009 sets again soon.

Hahaha, I'm glad this is just over the internet, 'cause a man should never witness another grown man squealing... Yeah, they are opened, but barely played with and kept back in the box. I have yet to go through all of them and check exactly what condition they're in now, and how complete they all are. Hopefully soon. Hehe, never really thought about it like that. I have a lot of vintage toys from my childhood - GI Joe, Transformers, He-Man, et cetera. I plan on selling almost all of them, but the thought never crossed my mind to check the value on these, or consider selling them...

As I'm in San Diego also, I can add that the shelves at the Walmarts and Targets in the South county are still dry. I haven't really checked anywhere else within the past couple weeks, but I'd imagine they're pretty much the same. It's pretty disappointing, I'm itching to grab up some more 2009 sets. I'm just glad I was able to snag a few in the days before Christmas.

Fun seeing everyone's sig-figs! Here's sig-figs of my girlfriend and I... The real us, for comparison... ;)

Thanks! Here ya go... Those pics were taken in March 2007, I'd just moved into a new house with my family and it provided the perfect time to do something I've been meaning to do for years - go through all my old boxes in storage to finally sort and organize all my childhood toys that had been boxed up. I was lucky enough that my parents never gave away my toys, instead they boxed everything up as I got new stuff, so I still had everything I ever had since I was a kid (I collect all kinds of toys, not just LEGO). These pics were during the sorting process, and there was a lot! That's the pile of LEGO, which was spread out through several boxes. Soon after I boxed them all up again because I was going to be leaving for vacation in the Philippines. I was originally scheduled to be in the Philippines for three months, but those three months turned into a YEAR and three months! I've been back in California since late August, and have yet to go back through all those vintage LEGO again, but I did peek in the box a little and pulled out some loose minifigs (which you can see in the bottom right of the second picture, they're in a Ziploc bag). :) If you'd like to see photos of ALL the toys I uncovered, you can check them out here!

I shot this last November as an homage to the LEGO minifig in general since it was the 30th anniversary of the LEGO minifig. I chose to use just the classic space men because Space has always been my favorite LEGO theme. Plus, at the time I had just pulled out some minty fresh vintage sets from 1978 (and up) out of box that was in storage a long time, and thought Iād start with these to show them off... ;)

Power Miners Product Movies
dieselboy m replied to KAHUKA's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Those were incredibly entertaining, especially Tim's! I'd pay to watch more of Tim's videos! :D -
On December 31st I got the Mars Mission 5619 Crystal Hawk on clearance at Target for $.87. On January 2nd I got the Racers 8490 Desert Hopper on clearance at Walmart for $5.00.

These were actually my Christmas presents to myself, stuff that I'd gotten over the past few months (mostly on sale, except the four 2009 sets) and put them away to open on Christmas... My baby niece was given a Duplo set by my brother's friend. I was gonna give her LEGO too, but I'd just given her her first Duplo set a couple weeks prior. "Hmm, I wonder what this is..." "Ooh more LEGO!" "I want to play." "No thanks mommy, I want to play LEGO." "I wish someone would open this for me already..."

Hi, I'm fairly new here at Eurobricks (as you can see, I've only got 3 previous posts), but I'm not new to LEGO (I just don't spend much time in forums/message boards). I'm also no pro at making reviews, but I have done five prior to this at my blog site. This is my first set review for the year, and my first set review in nearly six months. I have tons of previous set reviews from the past few months that I haven't finished and posted yet, but I thought I'd start out the year with a review of a brand new 2009 set. This one includes a video clip, which was also my first time editing a video. So, please check it out at - http://smutoys.multiply.com/journal/item/4..._Track_Turbo_RC Thanks!

I don't have a unique storage method, my parts are sorted in storage bins. However, I do store my sets in zipper bags. Wow, now that's pretty interesting. I might have to try those out.

I spent $750 on LEGO sets this Black Friday... My brother and I are veterans of Black Friday shopping, we do it every year to get all our Christmas shopping out of the way early and at great deals. This year the BF shopping experience was great, very smooth (it seems less people were BF shopping this year, probably the economy), and got just about everything on our lists. We spent a total of $2323, $750 of which were my LEGO. All the deals at TRU, Walmart, Target, and Kmart were fairly easy to take advantage of. My TRU had plenty of the Star Wars MTT, Mars Mission Armored Drilling Unit, and Aquaraiders sets. Walmart had more than enough of the King's Castle Siege, and Target was also well stocked with the ISD. As for Kmart, I was hoping to use the buy 2 get 1 free deal on a couple Republic Gunships, but they didn't have any. In fact, their selection was pretty slim, but I still took advantage of the deal and got some Agents, Star Wars, and City sets, saving $29.98 on six sets. I'll post some pics after everything's sorted. Yeah, I went to around the same number of stores and didn't really experience any rudeness, especially not any extreme cases that people seem to equate with Black Friday shopping.

The Eurobricks Reviewers Academy
dieselboy m replied to Bonaparte's topic in Forum Information and Help
I would very much like to enroll into the Reviewers Academy and become a better reviewer. :)
