  1. I'm currently in southern California. I hope I got it about right.
  2. Gotcha! :)
  3. Boston is on the map. Next! Anyone? :)
  4. Wow! That was a quick and correct answer! I had never seen these. Thanks a lot! :)
  5. Recently I bought some parts that would be part of the inventory of set #119. But instead of the two Train Direction Switch (BL part 3218) there were alternative parts. They are a gray plate 3x2 with a gray plate 1x3 vertically mounted on top of them. I guess they would work as a direction switch. But, this part I cannot find on BL and I have no clue on what they are and in what sets they came in. I hope my description is good enough or else I'll take a picture. Who can tell me what part this is? TIA!
  6. Okidoki, all done. LOOK!
  7. Done. Next! :)
  8. OK, who else can I add? Looks like we're a worldwide community!
  9. I can add you (and others) if you want. I'd need to know where you live. No exact address. Ok?
  10. I thought let's make a map so we can see where everybody is living. *CLICK* on the Map and add yourself. (You'll need a Google account)
  11. Yesterday the mailman delivered my most recent eBay score: Set 245 Lighting brick with instructions in mint condition and the H0 Mercedes 190SL with it's garage from set 666.
  12. WOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW! I just stumbled on this thread and the video! I cannot stress howmuch I *love* this. The idea, the dedication, the location, the people, the 4,5Volts engine, everything! I hope for the next record that you guys could make a time-laps clip on the building process and a few more shots of locs and trains riding the track. good luck on the next attempt!
  13. Wow! This sounds like a HUGE event! I'm sorry I'm not able to go. 4 kilometers of old blue track, yay! Not 12Volts I guess? I'd like to see set #113 covering the whole distance. Or a boxed set #080... Please not only make pics. Mount a camera on one of the trains and film the track. I'm looking forward to see images of this great event.
  14. Is there any info on these? I can't find it...
  15. I like it a lot!
  16. You all know what "The Vault" is, right? You don't? Well, it's the one place one earth where 'they' keep all Lego sets ever produced MISB. As it seems, you can visit this place. Look a here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hedIrzXlubo[/url] In 2005 I went to Billund, Denmark. Hoping to find this vault. But no, all I saw was the park. From there I went into my dark ages. Again. Right now I'm crawling out of them, again. I'm 46 years old and now there's not a lot more I want from life than to visit this 'vault'. My the question is: HOW can I get to visit "The Vault"?
  17. Always nice to meet a fellow Dutchman here! Welcome! to advance fom vassal to knight all you have to do is hang around long anough and post a few 100 messages.... :)
  18. I just *love* these old Ideas Books. For me they show what Lego is all about: imagination. In these early days when wheels did not exist, you could make trains and cars. I've got two children of ages 6 and 4. They don't care much for 'my' 10220 VW Camper but much rather play with basic bricks from 6177 This is why Lego is such a fantastic toy.
  19. Is nobody wondering WHY someone would want to own such a vehicle? It sure is one of the most beautiful cars I've seen but it's not very practical to say the least.
  20. Perfect is the word I was looking for!
  21. If you ever wanted a boxed old Gravel Yard set #351 for your collection, this guy has a few on sale!
  22. I wanted to start this topic in the Buy and Sell Finds Forum but I can't start a topic there. Today on eBay a H0 1:87 model of a Vauxhall Victor Estate Car was sold. Look at the price! 1900 Euro's? For a car of only 3cm's long? Weird. The sold model was in black.
  23. Welkom! The 720! Got it, mint in box. I know NOTHING about Power Functions. Please enlighten me on how to convert older train sets? thx!
  24. My oldest set is #500, the wooden "Klodser" I understand that there's been an "official remake" of this set but I think I have the real deal: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?G=500 This set was released in 1948.
  25. I think every set in this series has their own scale. Which is a pitty. It stops me from collecting them all.
