    That's the way to do it! Earn it. It's great if a fellow player wants to lend a helping hand, but don't beg for it, that's just bad form. Trust me, if you stick around long enough, you will be one of those high leveled PCs with ZOMG! weapons.

    Sell the halberd (25 gold), the armor (15 gold), remove the gems from the Tailored Coat (50 gold each), then sell (5 gold). 207+25+15-150+5=102 Merge the most advantageous gem to your new hammer (50 gold). 52 Buy some consumables (at least Tonics x2). Keep your original hammer as a backup weapon for Ethereal enemies. Then you have will 4 (or 3 if you merge one now) gems in your inventory that you can eventually merge with an artefact or weapon.

    WHY are you begging?!? My word this crop of noobs is an impatient lot! Back in my day... Are you borrowing any of that stuff or is that your actual inventory and gold count? If that is your actual inventory, sell the stuff you can't use and upgrade your own equipment.

    I wanted a Power boost because I was fine with Hoke's health because of his SP, which is usually doubled since he fights from the back row 90% of the time.

    You're right. I guess imbuing costs aren't figured into the resale value of artefacts with preexisting gems.

    3 gens x100 ea, imbuing x50 each, 10 for each sp I would say around 450 if sold in the Marketplace.
