  1. "Thank you," Hoke says as he collects the shimmering ethereal gems. He feels the orb vibrate as he handles the new gems. He could sense it's...hunger? Excitement? Hoke places the gems in his pouch and stokes Torc on her muzzle and under her chin. He senses something different about here, as if she wasn't entirely present. She had been like that since the Dragons at Dastan. He looks her deeply in her draconian eyes and knew there was something she needed to do. "Melquiades, City Center please." Hoke finds a few others milling about, some were missing, perhaps already returned to Eubric. He approaches Matthias and Arthur. "I bet there are a few other areas of this island to explore. Did I hear something mentioned about a Frozen Room?"
  2. "Ready when you are," Hoke says to the Forge Master.
  3. That's fine Zeph, no worries.
  4. True. I'd hate for other PCs to be punished with Immunity overloaded enemies because a few PCs have ethereal gem weapons. Kind of wish this was put out there to begin with though.
  5. I assumed everything would be returned automatically to my inventory after the battle was over.
  6. Loaned to Matthias, I think along with my scrolls. Check page 1 for my gems minus the Ethereal Topaz Hoke purchased from Zeus.
  7. Sorry to make this look rushed. Hope it's not tacky. Everyone seems to want to go. "As you say Captain. My thanks to you," Hoke says as he stows the amulet. "Melquaides, City Center, please." Hoke approaches Zeus, gold in hand. "I'd like a Neptune Bomb, a Rudra Bomb, and a Demeter Bomb," Hoke says as he hands over 450 gold. "Melquaides, Forge Master, please." "I'm back, and I would like to forge my gems into ethereal ones," Hoke says as he presents his Garnet, Sapphire, and Aquamarine, "I would like to forge the Garnet first, Sapphire second, and Aquamarine third." In Battle Hoke uses his Neptune Bomb for the Garnet, Rudra for the Sapphire, and Demeter for the Aquamarine, all from the Back Row. Torc uses her Fire Breath if needed from the Back Row.
  8. How? Gems give the immunites. I was sure that if a weapon dealt X type of damage, it was from X gem. If a Shield or Artefact gave X immunity, then it was from X gem.
  9. It's 100 gp already for the Amethyst imbued in it, then you get SP: 6, and Power +6. I would say it's well worth more than 150$ too.
  10. Well that might not be my intention, but how Hoke is played may well be just as you see it. Maybe all of those whispers are finally getting to him. That or I'm just being impatient and not role-playing very well. Hoke has always been about business is business, but he is less idealistic than when he started out. He has embraced his mercenary role. Maybe the large dragon and Zoot's Plaything have exacerbated that...
  11. Hoke hefts the amulet in his palm. A light black mist seems to trail it, and it felt heavier than it looked. The orb in his glove seemed to appreciate the dark company. "My thanks to you sir. And no, I am never done making trouble," Hoke says with a wink, "Is there anything I owe you?"
  12. From the Marketplace thread:
  13. "Melquiades - Iceborn, please." Hoke appears in the skeleton captain's quarters once more. "Have you had any luck with the amulet?"
  14. In response to Flipz: -Sven: yeah, I would have liked for Hoke to have had that moment, but what's done is done. -Chauncy: you forget Hoke is a deeply skeptical guy that has had NO interaction with Chauncy beforehand. Chauncy comes off as this dark/secretive guy with an agenda, that apparently had attack at least 2 quest mates and killed a colleague. He's not someone that Hoke would fall in line with just because. The situation became worse, IMO, because Arthur acted like a Team Jacob/Team Edward fan in a Twilight fight. He just came out of nowhere, being all emotion, guns blazing. Hoke was nonthreateningly (I tried to stress that) express that if the plans went south, that he would step in. Hoke hadn't had any interaction with Guffington before either, and Hoke took him as a old dude trying desperately to have one more grand adventure, no matter the cost. He was like the Joker almost in Hoke's eyes. And, if you haven't figured out by now, Hoke IS Batman. -Kill it all: I hope Hoke doesn't come off like that because that's not what I want for him. He's pragmatic for sure, but I don't want him to be a stone cold killer. -SP/Lvl 1:1: I'm all ears if you have any ideas. Thanks for the quest Zeph. I just wish it had a bit faster pacing and finished within you original projected time frame. I've always enjoyed your quest and will continue to sign-up for them. And if Wren is within the Darkness, I want Hoke to kill her, all over again.
  15. Hoke and Torc stand close by, but not too close.
  16. Happy Easter! He is RISEN!
  17. Hoke waves Guts off as the spirits return to their ephemeral state. "I think they've had enough."
  18. Hoke dismisses Zoot's Order and the inky black orb reluctantly returns to it's pouch in Hoke's glove. He pats Torc on the side of her neck and glances over her to make sure she was alright.
  19. "Let's hold on for a bit longer." Hoke - Zoot's Order, Sven, Back Row Torc - Nothing, Back Row Amarcolm - Darkness, Cassandra, Back Row Amarcolm - Darkness, Thistle, Back Row Hybros - Nothing, Back Row Captain Bennetton - Nothing, Back Row Gnash - Nothing, Back Row IF all Free Hits are covered, feel free to run the same BO as last time.
  20. Hoke, Zoot's Order, Sven, Back Row Torc, Fire Breath, Magnar, Back Row
  21. Torc - Regret's Blessing, Matthias, Back row Hoke - Zoot's Order, Blackenord, Back row
  22. Pg 29 is when you posted the disparity. After the Bellaria fight, Hoke & Torc were both 54. Hoke gained some XP at the Training Grounds while Torc was with Vipera.
