  1. But take note: 5 SP of Hoke's is from a borrow piece of equipment. Hoke has 17 SP of his own items.
  2. What he said!
  3. It works for Hoke! As long as it is narrated properly.
  4. "Mayhaps we should let the Phoenix be for now. I have heard they have peculiar powers to raise their fallen allies. Just stick me up front, and I should be able to withstand it's scratches."
  5. Topaz, Angry Crab A, Back Row.
  6. So a level 20 rogue/rogue hybrid getting at least 20 gold (or 20 gold per target) for a special is a bad thing? Man, as a knight, I was lucky to end quests with 100+ gold. I think rogues just got SPOILED. Something needs to happen though. There is a huge disparity mechanics wise in the game now. After level 10 (or so, not exact science here), if everyone was a rogue, there would be no use for other classes. Just rake in the gold and get liquored up every battle.
  7. What about: Only enemies with gold as a drop AND Only steals gold from each target equal to PC's level Makes sense in both realistic terms and RPG terms. You can only steal gold from those who have it, and you get better at what you do the more experience you have. Also, this may get QMs to drop more gold for the non-thieving classes. As far as the Overkill Gloves go; that was just not a well thought out drop. It should probably be nerfed. As much as I hate to say that. Sorry Flipz.
  8. "Thanks for the loot Skrall. Shall we be on our way?"
  9. Negative to the banking system.
  10. "Keep at them my friends!" Topaz, Gloom Widow C, Back Row.
  11. "What can I say? There is a battle to be won!" Hoke said with a wink.
  12. "What is the plan of attack Skrall?" Trying to get 2 rounds in 1 day! Woohoo!
  13. Hoke's armor, sword and shield cackle as the last fingers of electricity fade. He grips is topaz again, hoping to devastate the rest of the enemies. Repeat.
  14. For the record, I am against anyone being punished for being purposeful in making an awesome build (Arthur, Guts, etc). What I am for though, if that each class should be able to hold a distinct advantage over the others. This gets blurred when it comes to Advanced Classes. I think the Advanced Classes should truly combine the advantages of the Basic Classes. What is your opinion? Do the Advanced Classes successfully combine the advantages of the Basic Classes?
  15. And we would never hear the end of it from Scuba, but I am all for it. Forgot ethereals could not be damage by elemental magic.
  16. I'd rather buff than nerf. I guess the reason I am honing in on the SP issue is that it seems to be a not uncommon for higher level enemies to ignore SP. I have yet to see an enemy that off the bat ignores gold, all elemental magics, negates healing, does not allow for class strength modifiers or is immune to ranged attacks. The knight's gimmick seems to be the most often negated. But again, this seems to be a QM balancing issue. There are effects to deal with other class gimmicks (sealed, frail, weaken, etc), but these are usually bound up in enemy specials and not abilities.
  17. May be a buff or a equalizer, but how about knights retain shield SP with enemies that ignore SP?
  18. Didn't say that I was, Rather, trying to focus on the individual gimmick/appeal first before rolls are considered. It's kind of hard to differentiate as they are tied very closely together.
  19. That may be true, but I said not counting any type of roll. If you start taking those into account for one class, then Ranger's Aim comes in, etc.
  20. Before we start making changes to everything, let's take a look at each core classes' appeal, not counting any type of rolls (shield, crit, etc): Knights - Shields Rogues - Gold Clerics - Healing Mages - Gem/Spells Barbarian - Natural Respite Rangers - Ranged Now, taking those into account, which of these seems to wax/wane as Advanced and Expert classes are available?
