So exactly how much damage would Skrall do on a hit to the Jade Kraken since he now favors both aquatic and beast and has a weapon that gives +4 to beasts?

But Chi Monk is level x2. Not many players are going to have WP: 30+ weapons when they get to level 30. Chi Monk's basically get high powered weapons plus an upgrade when they gain a level.

Since Chi Monks fight unarmed and their attack equals their level x2, I would say that all unarmed attacks equal the PC's level.

I don't. I don't read the Hall thread either. I tend to only read the quests I am on, unless it's a Sandy or Zeph quest, which are good stories, but I don't use any knowledge I get from those in game.

Why aren't we killing the Kraken yet?!?!

Hoke bows his head closes his eyes. He takes a few deep breaths to steel his nerves. This is a fight in which he would need all of his power and focus. He looks up, opens his eyes, and heads towards the Kraken.

My suggested change.

"You will gain luck if you choose to cast a spell. I have a feeling we will need all the fortune and luck we can get against the Kraken."

"Ah, yes." Hoke lends his Scroll of Frailty and Scroll of Weakening to Stigveladi.

I tend not to read any character's 'speeches.' I thought the same thing too, but I think it also protects from Aquatic based damage.

Looks good to me. Hoke checks his equipment before the battle ahead. Vintul and his shield were in top shape and each gem shined with a sparkling luster.

Bring 'em on! I can't wait to come back to the fields as a Dragoon! This makes me wonder though, when all 3 Threshold Monsters are killed, will something else take their place on the map? Is there anything there right now in the Obsidian Dragon's spot?

Wonder if they got boosted after the Obsidian Dragon got thoroughly beat down.

Thanks. How does a Nostrum affect the use of scrolls (50/50 rolled twice)?

"Stigveladi, allow me to suggestion you consume your Smelling Salts and Nostrum. If you choose to do so, you may borrow my Scroll of Frailty and Scroll of Weakening to use on the Kraken. Consuming both the Smelling Salts and Nostrum you aid in your effectiveness in casting these scrolls." (Is it correct to assume that the Nostrum allows the 50/50 roll on scrolls to be rolled twice with the better outcome used?)

What are the rules for Ether consumption on the scrolls? Is it different for each scroll?

Hoke consumes his Grand Zoot's Cookie for +2 to power.

I'm just hoping the Kraken drops some sweet sweet usable loot.

"As you say." After resting in his bedroll, Hoke consumes a Mead, Smelling Salt and Nostrum.

"As that may be true, I would rather err on the side of caution. That is just my thoughts though. I am willing to follow Skrall's orders and the wishes of the rest of the group in this case."

"As would I, but, again, mayhaps we should flesh out the fields more to ensure a better reward as we exit the fields." (We need at least 100 GP to get a Medal of Glory which I think just about everyone here wants. One more successful battle would give that to us. However, if we happen to lose against the Kraken, we will be kicked out of the fields with less than 100 GP.)
