  1. Hi all, finally we get these pictures. As everybody else I am very excited about the two civilian sets: the mill and the blacksmith attacks. I must admit, in any case, that I am not impressed by the design of the two sets. I'm not so excited about the other two sets, even if I have to admit that the carriage set adds something new with the 2 horses and the 2 trees. Something to notice: - we don't get any extra faction; - the dragon knights are definitely the bad guys: - I am not convinced about the chickens: they appear to be more DUPLOish than the pigs. I am getting for sure the mill and the blacksmith. Cheers. Andrea
  2. Very nicely done moc and pictures. congratulations!!
  3. Hi all, it took me months to build something (last MOC was loooong ago) but yesterday I finally found the awesome spartan minifig (series 2) and I rewatched the movie 300 which gave me inspiration for this small MOC. I know it is not anything special at all, but comments are welcome as usual :) Picture is link. Brickshelf link: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=444369 Cheers
  4. Today in another shop I finally found 3 spartans and they were "in a row", one after the other. Don't kwow why in the other shop there were not, but I'm glad I found them: it's one of the best minifigures ever. Cheers.
  5. Believe me that I've checked at least 100-130 bags in two days and I haven't found any spartan. I printed the list with a laser printer...
  6. Hi all. I have a problem. I downloaded the barcode pdf-file from Brickset.com http://www.1000steine.com/brickset/miscellaneous/8684Barcodes.pdf and of course since I am living in Belgium, I have used the "european" column. The problem is that I've been able to spot all the minifigs unless the spartan which is the more interesting for me. I even opened new boxes in the shops but I was not able to find one single bag that has the corresponding barcode. Is there a mistake in the brickset file? Can anybody help me? I am desperate. Thank you in advance. Andrea
  7. 1) No 2) individual appeal 3) colosseum would be nice 4) a massive set with a high detailed castle, in minifig scale 5) more castle civilian sets "medieval market village" style. A
  8. Yes Sorry the links weren't working. Now they are. :)

  10. Thank you very much for the review. I think this set is really a must-have and I'm planning to buy only this one from the kingdoms theme. I love the fact that it is a modular castle: I hope LEGO will provide us expansions but, in any case we could be our own ones. Beatiful set. I'm looking forward the new parts. Andrea
  11. I would say that the new 4-studs panel is better because it is smaller, but we'll see. I'm looking forward the new window. A
  12. Well thanks for the nice review. I think this will be the only kingdoms set I'll buy apart of the big castle. The minifigs are really nice and I prefer much more this "standard" dragon torso to the one with all the chains. Andrea
  13. Well. Very interesting topic being Castle my favourite theme. I went out of my "dark age" when the fantasy line was out and I was very happy to see that LEGO had introduced some new stuff. I loved the dwarves, the crownies and the orcs. Even the skellies weren't that bad. It is true that many people (including me) are very happy with the return of this classic style with the kingdoms theme, but nothing forbids LEGO to maintain the core of classic sets and style (chariot, main castle, etc...) adding something new. The effort made with the Medieval market village, which I personally consider the best set ever, was going in this direction. It's enough to surf a bit this forum or other forums to see how many ideas for new sets there could be. I must also admit that a return to modular buildings would be a very wise choice (we see that, partially, in kingdoms). At the same time I would welcome very very much some historical themes, but not to replace Castle, but to go in parallel. These are my 2 cents. Andrea
  14. Yes the helmet and the torso are very very nice. The helmet especially.
  15. Yes it would be a very wise choice.
  16. It's great review for a great set. As soon as I saw that TLC was doing this set, I knew I would have bought it. And yes, Sean Connery minifig is just amazing: detailed but still LEGOish!
  17. An oupost in which Orcs warriors live and start their hunting for dwarves. It is the very first time I post a creation of mine on Eurobricks (usually I do only on classic castle) but comments are very welcome as usual! 18. Thank you very much for the link with the new pictures, even if I expected something more detailed (for the pictures I mean). I confirm my good impression about the sets: they seem really nice, especially the big castle (is anybody able to read th price, BTW?). The Harry Potter castle interiors are detailed as an exclusive set but the tower big pieces are awful. It will be very expensive, so I don't think I will buy it. If you have other pictures don't forget to share!
  19. Thx for the new pictures. The advent Calendar appears nice. Apart of the figs I see that in the background there are typical building from a medieval village and I really hope that could possibly mean that in the second wave of this Kingdom theme we could have some civilian building, maybe even modular ones like in the glorious past! ;)
  20. In my opinion it is this piece:
  21. Grail Temple for me. Signed
  22. Why do you say it's a step back? In any case the piece is smaller and so, according to me, better.
  23. Oh my god! Thanks a lot for these pictures!! The two big sets seem very nice. Who is the minifig on the gate of the big castle? :) Thx again!!!
  24. That would be great and also, in my opinion, also a very clever marketing move. I don't usually buy battle packs BUT if they will be the only available sets before the theme sets, I'd probably buy them. But I haven't heard anything about these battlepacks: would they be as the 2009 ones (so only minifigs and accessories) or like star wars ones (with some pieces too). I'd prefer much more if LEGO would shift from the first kind to the second. In any case I find it kind of strange to have pictures of kingdoms sets in December and not having sets till September of the following year...it's really too long and it can kill hype. Andrea
