Yes, it is my work. Regarding stability etc, I never do digital projects without making them first in real life, so zeppelin was build and "tested" during 2 exhibitions - it survived without any issues. Can be transported, lifted, moved, carried without any problem. However, indeed it is not small - 85cm long :)

Hello, this is my break from train production :) Balloon was created few years ago and rebuilt last months to join BDP7 program. It is a mix of system and technic, inside 80% of construction is made of axles, connectors and technic bricks. Apparently it is quite stable and solid, thanks to hinges that keep construction close and reliable. Original palette of colors contained red & dark azure, but they had to be removed due to BDP7 rules of limited number of bricks. Anyway, I'm quite happy how it turned out. Balloon can be safely placed on a desk - it will not fall over easily. Or it can hang on a string :) Enjoy watching and thanks for voting if you find it interesting. Looks promising... How it works on curves? Does it let lego magnet coupler to move without limits? I tried to use 3L thin liftarm and there were problems when cars negotiated switches. -

Thanks, now I see it. Two lines running through all wagons with rectifier bridge connected parallel in each wagon. Tomorrow I'm off for bridge shopping :) Cheers! -

I'm not sure if it is so easy... :) For 1 passenger car it's fine but when going to connect 2 or more (in chain), it becomes more complicated because car could be connected from both sides what means that input should be able to work as output as well, and vice versa. Any hints are very welcome. -

Actually you don't need to. You may leave magnetic barrels free, without glueing etc. They will attach themselves to main magnet from buffer. The only problem is during decoupling - it has to be done carefully to avoid breaking circuit. Another limitation of this solution - cars have to be connected always in the same direction -

Yes, it rubs off a bit quicker than I expected. And another observation: when applied on 2 adjacent pairs of large wheels, it adds extra resistance on R40 curves. But still I use bullfrog snot in locos with BBB wheels and it is not that bad. However I'm not running trains for hours.... Thank you! Thanks :) L-motors are ok too. If I decide to enlarge Triplex boiler, will try to place there XL motors

Yes, Andrew, I tried this solution :) I saw your, Cale's and other guys' creations - no doubt, performance is really outstanding. I put bearings in one of my passenger car,and it worked well. However... it requires (1) lots of time to rebuild my stock, (2) lots of work with tools :) My experience shows that 50% of bearings are a bit smaller then 2mm and manual application on Lego axle is sometimes not possible. M_Longer from LugPol advised to freeze axle and then try it again. I will give it a go soon. Thank you :) Your solution of Walschaerts valve was a big inspiration for my loco. In fact, I should use Baker's one but decided to simplify rods a bit.

Thank you. Yes, it does however obviously it slows down when negotating R40. This wheels setup creates lots of friction :( I will try to record another movie with R40 curves soon.

Thanks! I tested it with 6 freight cars only however two of them with 6L axles (4 pairs each) so I guess it should haul approx. 10 cars. 2-8-8-8-2 setup introduces lots of resistance and it is not the very powerful model :)

Thank you. Unfortunately I did not document work in progress so no pictures of power. There are 2 L-motors powering first set of 8-wheels and 1 L-motor powering 2nd set of 8-wheels. Reduction 12/20 between motor and wheels. Motor cables are running to SBrick (channel C with 2 motors, channel D with one motor). Thank you :) It is Bionicle shield, # 45275

Hello, This is my first MOC in EB Train Tech however I've been following this forum since years (building some other MOCs you can find in my Flickr photo gallery). First of all, thank you guys for inspiration :) I really enjoy my time reading your posts. Erie Triplex was already built by Shuppiluliumas, and by Lego Train 12 Volt, really great models! (sorry if I missed other creators) I tried to do my own recreation of this distinguished loco. Please have a look and comment. I decided to use sand green + flat silver curved slopes, added a bit of glamour with few extra gold chromed parts :) Dimensions and PF: Length: 82 studs Width: 10 studs Height: 11 bricks PF: 3x L-motors + Sbrick controller + 88000 battery Weight: 1,6kg Non-standard solution and technics:: 1. To add more realism I used well-known rods from Zephyr (TrainedBricks http://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=zephyr ) 2. SBrick ( http://sbrick.com ) 3. Chromed parts from Aurimax ( Chrome Block City http://www.bricklink.com/store/home.page?p=Aurimax ) 4. Trimmed technic axle (BL #6587) to connect rods with wheels (I know the solution how to connect it in proper Lego way, but this change is on my to-do list ) 5. Bullfrog Snot on 2 pairs of wheels ( http://www.bullfrogsnot.com/faq.asp ) but finally I decided to add white o-rings 6. Stickers Lady in black & white Movie Cheers
