Set Name: TIE Defender Set Number: 8087 Number of Pieces: 304 Figures: 2 Another normal day passes for TK-17. Routine patrols of the sector in his starfighter, followed by two hours sleep. Even for a Stormtrooper Pilot, this was tiresome. One day he returned to the hanger. Luckily he had been trained to withstand large falls. ( ) But, he felt a searing pain in his back. A trooper assigned to the hanger noticed his fellow soldier having trouble. He asked him whether he needed help. TK-17 told him about what he thought had happened. The seating area of the Defender was cramped, and the random knobs were digging into TK-17's spine. Not to mention the bad colour scheme was very annoying. ( ) Adamant on following his injury up, TK-17 went to Lord Vader's office to complain. The Lord Sith granted TK-17 permission to change his TIE Defender to the right standards. So, TK-17 and his Trooper began work. (Follow these stages:) The Trooper noticed a problem. The red-inverted-dish would prevent the cockpit from closing properly. Finally they finished. It was perfect! Now TK-17 could actually control the ship thanks to the new control panels! Keen to test his starfighter out, TK-17 left a certain somebody to tidy up the spare parts. Thanks for reading. I hope this gives you the chance to improve your TIE Defender. As always, C&C are welcome. Extra parts required: 2x 1x1 Black Cheese Slopes 2x 2x1 Dark Grey Bricks 1x 4x1 Light Grey Brick Any control panels you want!

Old picture of a first draft:

This is really good! I love the tree and how you made the pool of water. Everything blends in a realistic way, so well done!
-
I think both versions look very good. So, either way you win. The different slopes and colours add a nice variation to your Rebel fleet.
-
That is this piece but in black. It was used as a hose in LEGO City and as a gun in the Agents line.

Super review Svelte! I voted this set as 'Outstanding'. This is primarily due to the new parts in a relatively small and cheap set and the return of the awesome old skellie. Not to mention such a nice horse and detailed figures, or the new bush.
-
Noooo! Why did I not wait another few months to get the new sets? Thanks anyway Pete. *looks desperatley for any set he may have missed*

flip-out/ Blegh! This is what I dislike about LEGO. No new figure designs where there needs to be, but using other parts already available. That is the Hoth BP Officer with a Rebel Trooper's face stuck on him. This catalog picture better change, or LEGO will feel my wrath! /flip-out Thanks for those pictures Rufus.

These sound really good! Next time I go to a UK LEGO store, I'll keep an eye out. Has anybody seen these in the UK, btw?
-
Hmm. Looking at the picture more closely it is around thirty-five to forty bricks high, and the foot is big enough to fit a figure under it. That is just a bit smaller than the Motorised one, but that had to be bigger to fit in the motors I would have thought.

We have five clumps of frog spawn in our pond. The males are still calling at night, so I really hope we get some more! EDIT: Nice pictures all! I'll post some as soon as the sun comes out.
-
They made the AT-AT twice, but that didn't stop them. If this is a good price, I'll get it. IMO £60 is the maximum, but I doubt it will be that cheap.

Dude, that is awesome! Thanks! Looks like we may have an interior! I'm glad to see the return of the printed/stickered tile (don't care if it is stickered really). IMO, much better than the cheese slopes. The body and head look nice and sturdy. However, the legs look rather big and a bit blocky, but I like this new style. Good selection of figures too. Hopefully LEGO will introduce a more serious face for this Veers. I think we will get 8 to 10 figures. Luke Skywalker Snowtrooper x2 AT-AT Pilot (x2?) Veers Han Solo C3-PO Hoth Rebel Plus a speeder, or another mobile control centre. LEGO like those things, eh? Were are the prited leg dishes though? EDIT: Fixed silly typo.

Well, from the picture he looks like he means business. Hopefully he will have some balster skills already. Maybe that dude in the background is his master or teacher? EDIT: What symbol is it on that alien's armour? -

He does look a little like a younger Clone I suppose. Bit grumpy too. What I really want to see is a flashack with Jango, but CW style! -
That is really cool! The colour you chose is perfect, though it does stand out a bit. Keep this up.

Episode Quote: Jim: "This assassin must be on the inside. *pause* One of us..."

Ditto. Or I could sell my old version and make £70 profit on BL.
-
I can see you easily building an interior around the technic bars etc. But, I suppose it may be too heavy then... Definitely something you should work on to make it absolutely, 100% perfect!

I have some interest from people on youtube, so hopefully it will attract more attention to my channel and Eurobricks.

Daffodils are finally making an appearance! Nice to see a bit of colour in the garden. Apparently, Spring travels around 3mph.

Finally, the best set ever has been reviewed! Great review, and those pom-poms look lovely.

Hopefully the Tactical Droid may be included in a BP next year. By the way, the Turbo Tank is on the latest cover of the LEGO Club Magazine.
