[COMIC] "Kings And Queens Of The Sea" - Episodes
RocketSeason replied to Dreamweb's topic in Pirate MOCs
Great to see a new episode! I love reading all of them. Great way to bring alot of action and life to the world of LEGO Pirates. -
Looking really great so far. This looks to be an excellent project. I am not sure if your past this or not, but as far as interior bracing and adding a tumblehome, Here is the solution I came up with: It works well, and leaves plenty of interior room for details. Good luck, I will be following this thread with great interest.

Looking good! I would love to see some better pictures. And a ship can never be too tall or to small.
-
I gotta say, I was a little unimpressed and not really sure what I was looking at, but after I saw the video... HOLY COW! Super great MOC. Excellent work!

I use pre-fab hulls because I like the look, and I generally prefer the underscaled cute look that LEGO models usually have. My crew currently consists of: 1 Captain 1 First Mate 5 soldiers 8 general crew 1 midshipmen 1 cook 1 doctor 1 Captains Wife 1 First Mate's Wife Thats a crew of 21 on a ship with 4 midsections.

I had been drooling over this MOC for a long time. It is great to see new pictures of her. BTW, I ended up buying the Stephen Biesty's Cross-Sections Man-Of-War book on Amazon just now based on your recommendation. Got overnight shipping, and I am going to get to use it tomorrow on my day off while I continue to build my own ship. Thanks for the inspiration!

She is looking beautiful! I can't wait to get my ship to the point where I can start putting sails on her. (It's going to be soon. I swear it! Anyway, I can't wait to see more of her soon.

This is looking absolutely beautiful my friend! Excellent work indeed! The ballast pit looks great as does all the interior details. Can't wait to see more pics! -
Very cool as usual! I love the little details on the deck. Great work!
-
I love it! You should add Indy in your scene as well.
-
I fully expect to see this beauty battling a certain English man-o-war in a comic very soon. Excellent work indeed!
-
Cool! I am looking forward to seeing the website grow.

Great idea! That makes my searching so much easier! Do we still keep WIPs in this forum, or do they go to the sub forum as well?
-
Looks like fun. I wanna play sometime!

Welcome back to the game! I have been an AFOL for 6 or so years now, (mostly space and trains) but I am new to the pirate community. I have found this place to be very welcoming. And it is good to have you among us!

I love love love this ship! Great work! I love modular approach. Being able to take it apart like that must be fun for play! (gives me ideas for my own ship.) The only suggestion I would make is removing the ratlines from the front spar. (looks a bit tacked on) other than that, she is a beauty. My favorite part? the little ship models.

Wow! Thats a beautiful ship! What great inspiration! The color blocking is similar to the look I am going for. Thanks!

More updates! I completed the figurehead for my ship. She is holding a key and a sword. I need to come up with a good story for that. Ideas? Also, I think I want to go with the version without a face. Looks more like a carving then a minifig that way I think. What do you guys think? Because of the color of the stern, I wanted to change the color blocking on the sides. Here is the results...(man I am going slow with this build.) I have been reading Patrick OBrian's Far Side of the World. Great book! I highly recommend it to you guys. It's amazing how much I have been getting into 17th and 18th century sailing lately!
