Are his … uh… "legs" rubber or solid? They look bent in those pics, and I'd like to know if that's because it's flexible or because it's molded that way.

Am I the only one thinking that those clouds might actually be massive amounts of dirt and dust kicked up by a very hard landing?

Well there's not much going on in the way of news, and each set reviewed gets its own topic and comments are made there instead of here. I like how LEGO seems to be going all-out with the backstory, and even preserving some mysticism while adding the technological flare.

I had this set. I forgot that the arms were attached to the bottom, though. Weird. >_> Also I lost the spear(s?) and I'm sad about that. ;_;

Though the cruddy 'shop job on one of the pics make it look as if the foot is part of the arm.

Those look like extremely preliminary images. The Manta has no printing, its head is all prototype-y, the diver's sub thing looks less streamlined, that's not what they look like on the higher-quality images (which I assume are the box images), and the other images from the same source do not look like their finalized box images.

Me likey. The straight-up spines are a bit odd, though. :|

This is a cute set with useful parts, and this review has only solidified my want for it.

Friction pins allow for controlled rotation. If you want something to be able to turn without flopping all over the place. Smooth pins are for spinning things, like wheels. The lack of friction allows easier turning. Same goes for the half pin/half plus rod pieces.

I think it's for the better, since Greg won't have to incorporate all the sets into the story, and it shouldn't be as all-over-the-place as it's become. And I don't think someone asking if [blank] is canon is going to have much of an effect on what the story ends up being; I think it'll be more along the lines of a few polls deciding some main points in the story, or even a contest or two.

Anyone know it the 2010 sets (or any of the newer sets, really) have GITD stickers like the first wave?

This bodes well for the story. No more having to work so many sets in. Also FANS WOO. Sucks about the sets, though, but on the other hand I'll have more money for kewl SYSTEM sets.

Maybe they could make recolors of those half-arms from the Agents minifigs and have little crab-like claw attachments for them.

It's not an indicator of anything other than the fact that there will be at least one more BIONICLE set than we know of, though.

I believe it's for the buggy; it drives in between the engines and gets lifted up into the body.

I like how they have some black printing on the head. Not to mention a transparent head. More detailed than the previous monsters, IMO.

To all who are asking about the triangle key: • They come in many sets. • Their only current function is looking pretty and opening the Octopus Gate. • It's entirely possible that future sets will have functions (possibly more than one per set, who knows?) that need the keys to operate. • It's my belief (backed up by the new key pics) that they work something like this. Anyway, the shark's jaw is a bit too skeletal and TECHNICal for my liking, but I do like that the curved-pin-connector-spikey-pieces are on more than just the Octo Gate squidthing. Those new spikes are hawt. :3

Not to mention it was the "What to use for the 2010 spinny" poll and it had all six options.
