Hawt.
XPlode's head is so much better than a recolored Nektann head. <3
Also I love how they look somewhat human but mechanical at the same time.
And I'm not the only one seeing a two-color Zamor sphere here, right?
Oh, and if no one makes a mutant Keetongu with that yellow head I am going to be maaad.
I agree, though I figure it's because he's a "larger" minifigure that they put into larger sets as a selling point. Having him in a battle pack would kill some of the incentive.
Galidor parts can be used with other parts, it just doesn't always look good. However, Galidor was an attempt to create a new system; action figures that could swap limbs. Not the usual constructible figures. Besides, we already know it's going to be similar to BIONICLE.
Better to have large <insert that tiresome argument> role-play weapons released along with a line of sets than have the line be a bunch of <insert that tiresome argument> sets, amirite? ;3
Also, cool magnets.
Also, lolfrisbee.
Also,
Four times? o_O
Sure, I doubt that all of them use old BIONICLE masks/faces, but it looks like at least the red box dude (XPlode?) has a red Nektann face/spine.
LEGO has reused BIONICLE masks and heads many times before. For example: the Matoran, the MoLtoran, the Metrutoran, the Rahaga, the Voyatoran, Defilak, Dekar, the Hydruka, Mazeka, and Ackar.
The Thornax works fine; two SYSTEM themes have them (Power Miners and the upcoming World Racers).
I still don't see how the masks wouldn't work, though. They look like faces already, and they could easily be used as villains.
Thornax launcher. A launcher is often referred to as its name without the "launcher" stuck on (Rhotuka, Kanoka, Zamor, Midak, Nynrah [heck, "Nynrah" is even an island in BIONICLE and people still call it that]).
Also, if we see parts that we know, we are going to comment on them. Especially if we think there's a low likelihood of them getting replaced. For example, that giant propeller on that guy's back looks like two black Brutaka blades. Will they be replaced with an equally huge new rotor piece, even though the current blades look fine? Not necessarily.
I beg to differ, good sir. A similar theme opens up new recolor possibilities, as well as providing many new and most likely BIONICLE-compatible pieces.
