Wow, it definitely has Tiome's style. Why is he and Rayg not drawing for Lego for real? ._. If Vastus looked that cool, I'd buy him. [-TA-] -
Hm, not much of a Lego SW fan, but there are a lot of great MOCs. The Death Star by Baronsat stands out to me, for its similarity to 10188 released a year later. The use of Bionicle pieces in Luke's Landspeeder by Lars is really nice, and the overall MOC is smooth and it flows. I really love all the Brickbuilt figs by Hopeso009, but if I'd have to pick a favorite, it'd be the rolling Droideka I'm a sucker for Steampunk, so the Speederbike by RebelRock and the Royal Gunship by OkyWanKenobi will round off my Top 5 [-TA-]

I absolutely love Onua Mistika. @_@ He's the coolest of the cool. And the Mistika were the cool. Well the Toa. ._. I really liked Onua and Tahu, [never got Gali. ;-;] they had neat masks, and all that stuff about "no real weapons" is yak. And the "contrasting red"? Beautiful. </rant> I also wish they brought back flat dark gold. It makes me very sad they're using the very bright and shiny one now, while the old one had a much more Ancient and powerful feel. And Iruini's[*cough*Nidhiki*cough*] mask is wonderful. I got that set personally in a trade, and it was great. Stronius? Love him for all his new parts, and overall look. Never thought about getting Tuma, and I don't think I ever will. Although I really like the mask. [-TA-]

Thanks, the addition of a large fin in the back was from the insight of a [non-EB] friend of mine. I'd make some SP3 ships, but that'd have be needing a lot of White Slopes, which I surprisingly lack. >.> I do have some though, and maybe one will pop up in the recent future. Thanks for your comments! [-TA-]

I want those recolored Av-toran. More specifically, their masks. [-TA-] -
Wasn't one to care too much about the Piraka, but the Inika were my favorite line. They were articulate, they looked cool, and had neat weapons. Obviously was the step up of previous Toa. I think late 2006 was some of the best half-years we had, with some of the best Titans, [V&F and Brutaka] and then the Inika. [-TA-]

Yay, actions fit voices. Everything seems great. Kind of ticked they used air, and that a "beam" of air came out of the shield kind of randomly. It's a shield. =/ [-TA-]

I am the Messenger Marcus Zusak [sp?] comes to mind, I found it pretty compelling. It's a mystery of sorts, but I recommend people to pick it up. The Midnighters Trilogy is very well written. Same Author as the "Pretties" Series. It's a pretty neat story, and since it's 3 normal novels, it's pretty short. The Alchemyst is the first book in a Nicholas Flamel series [And where my name derives from], and while it's been some time, so I don't remember the plot and all, it was a thrilling book seeing I changed my username for it. Neil Schusterman, is a great Author, his one-shot books have been really great. Stephen King's books are all a favorite of mine, from his less known Timeline [Love it, read it now] to stuff like Jurassic Park, he's great. -Looks at Bookshelf- The Divide Trilogy! Elizabeth Kay wrote them [Yet to read the third], but it brings a very interesting Fantasy World like no other, and it gets deeper in the second book. A good YA read. Vivian Van de Velde. She's a wonderful storyteller, ranging from short stories to Good sized, one-day novels. Mostly deal with a Fantasy of sorts, or magic. Heir Apparent is a great way to start her off. I have to admit, I'm a fan of the 39 Clues. Short books, easily a 1-2 hour read each, but it has the Amazing Race Treasure Hunt feel. I just read them from the library, but the books are really nice. Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Oh my, what a great twist on Greek Mythology. The characters that appear one by one are always so interesting to see [especially if you know your Greek Mythology], Highly recommended. I'll post more as they come to mind. [-TA-]

Movie you liked but most people hated...

That's what I get for not reading the entire topic. >.> Scratch the misunderstanding, but I still think "Good and Bad Movies" Exist. [-TA-] -
It was a beautiful movie, and a must-see for 2009. From the start, it was captivating. And that said, Some parts are spoiler'd With the interviews and documentary feel, it was new for a Sci-fi Genre. It took my some time to realize . The lack of characters make it so that there aren't many character to develop. The emotions of the prawns were also very life-like. CG was unbelievably real, and the small body language made them relatable. The gore, it wasn't just shock-value gore, it had meaning. The entire movie was filled with emotion, love, hate, anger, grief... and it simply flowed; . The political meaning behind it is also really intense, but not so much to shove it in your face [*cough*PETA*cough*]. Overall it's just an unbelievably heavy movie. My Dad and I just took a deep breath and sighed at the end. And the last scene? Perfect. I'm definitely grabbing a DVD when it comes out. [-TA-]

I always thought SW I was good. But then again I was really little and watched it once, without much idea of the story. Only the really really cool Podracers. :D I personally though TF2 was shit. It was too long, what I thought would be the "climax" turned out to be half the movie, and for an action movie at the Imax, I was about to sleep. The story was incoherent, with nearly no explanation for certain parts of the movie [Why did he come back to life? Just because some legendary Transformers tell him to? -.-]. Megan Fox's character was just fan service, doing absolutely nothing in the plot itself. In a movie-watching aspect, it wasn't captivating to me, it was just all in your face with boobs and explosions. And the only reason to watch it? The CGI. Tyrant, I think you're missing the point that it's all opinion, even though you seem to state it. There are "good movies and bad movies", it's just that the idea of it changes from one person to another. Leave it be. EDIT: Same for Art such as MOCs. There are clearly "better MOCs", to some people. The problem with "Highest Grossing" is inflation, But the Top 10 Highest-Grossing Opening Days? All sequels. Every single last one. I do think that hype, and the fact that "the last one was good" plays into the early viewing and money gain of movies. [-TA-] -
Huh, I'll have to check again to see if they lifted it, or if it's just random stores. Thanks for the update. [-TA-]

Dropping a line, the SW sets are on sale til Saturday. Ambush in Cario is a Price Cut, so it's indefinite. :D Oh, and JCC1004, I took the liberty of uploading next month's calendar a few days ago here, if you want to see it. [-TA-]

I really like how the eyes glow, it's very nice. These macro shots are great, I really want Skrall, that mask is really pretty with the jagged texture. I just got Gorast, and I agree, the only reason worth getting her are the beautiful wings [and possibly the Green Av-toran limbs]. [-TA-]

Lol exactly, we're pretty much where we started when the first list came out. Woo. First of all, we still have absolutely no clue about the setting. It could be in Bara Magna, it could be in the MU, it could be a completely new place. [-TA-]

Should have gotten Cendox I feel. Yellow, 2 Black Brutaka Blades, Black tracks and sweet custom helmet is nice. Of course I don't have either of the others, so my argument isn't the most valid. :P And @Velox, if all the Yellow/Keet pieces of the actual set were gold, I'd buy it, on the spot. And are the Black Pistons painted? Doesn't seem to be on Peeron. [-TA-] -
The Plot thickens. :P Well, so yay, we know Tilius is a liar. Woo. Which seems to confirm that the original 6 still have some validity. Which means we still might have the characters over the last 9 years all grouped together. Sweet. [-TA-]
-
@Vezon, well Bink's tone seems to deny the set list, or at least some of it... ANDOMGBINKJUSTCONFIRMEDWEAPONSIN2010. >.> Hey, Bink, will you tell us which Weapon you designed as soon as '10 rolls over? :D Lol he's been here for a while, popping in when set and story theories get out of hand. :P [-TA-]

Malum is both "Apple" and "Evil, misfortune, and other synonyms". I'm suspecting the latter though, with the latin root mal- much more common as "bad" Metus is fear, axiety and dread. Interesting. While browsing my Latin dictionary "Maturo [Mah-too-roh]" meaning to make ripe, lol. [-TA-] -
ZotS, Kiotu poitned out that it's actually not the 10th anniversary, until 2011, since 2002 was the first anniversary and so on... But 2010 is the 10th year, which is definitely something special [and equivalent to the not-so-special-sounding 9th anniversary. :P] Re-releases make absolutely no sense, unless there was something special/different in them [like how TLG keeps re-releasing SW sets. >.>] [-TA-]
-
I love you Ecto. If TLG released anything like that, I'd buy it as soon as I found it. Inika-Build, whatever, it looks cool. :P Just give it an element and add it to the list a couple pages back. :3 [-TA-]

Lol, that's hilarious, loved how you drew the second panel. If you did more characters, that'd be great. I can imagine Rahkshi: "So, what would you want if you were remade in 2010?" "HISS-SHREEEEEK" "Thank you" - Runs off - [-TA-]

Same, I remember when I got the first "Official Guide to Bionicle" with the Nuva, and it said "Lay-wuh". Always called him "Leh-wah", and still do. I'm to sure about Gelu, I keep switching from "Jel-oo" to "Geh-loo" >.> [-TA-] -
With Crotesius, I think I'll make a black and red Agori tonight. Bunda's lost all hope in BZPers. lol I'll probably make it crystal clear and then print it out super small. Then take a picture with my fingers holding it shakily with my cell phone and upload it on my old account, uploading the crystal clear one later onto the new account later. Or flickr... that works too. Let's see how that works. [-TA-]

Sale was because of a bashed box, I'm surprised; the Lego Store in Chicago does it rarely, but there were a bunch of them at the Lawrenceville store. I'm not a fan of the Thornatus, and didn't have the money anyway, so didn't get it. :P I'll make a Cendox review, once I get home and get my posterboard, later today. I'll take pics of the box right now since I can't take it. [-TA-]
