So what to create when you have heaps of Star Wars and a bit of train gear, A LEGO Star Wars Train of course, this is a bit of a work in progress and the effort below I am pretty happy with. The astromech bay was an accident in the design that I wasn't sure how to fill, but came up well, original idea was for an semi exposed engine works. The top turret i think needs some work, but wanted to knock in some defense mechanism as a starter. Side skirts will extend the length of the engine, since there are not may vehicles that use wheels in the SW universe and all rely on gravity drive, it is what I want to convey using the skirts. A few more carriages would also be nice, a detention carriage, and a medical one is current thoughts. The cargo carriage I am thinking of loading up with battle droids as a cross over from clone wars to OT since in no way is this a canon set, more for a playability point for my son. So I finally decided to tackle this, but with a bit of a bonus, Jabba's palace was reduced to $109 down from$ 199 here in Oz at Kmart, so I grabbed one of those, and Rancor pit was 20% off at TrU All parts are from those sets alone x 2. IMG_0848 by Fenaughty, on Flickr I increased the height of the main room by 1 brick, modified the tower to be higher added a back balcony and some extra width to match the arch in the main room. The Pit was extended by one set and a 2 stud extra to allow the gate to work, 2 hides in the pillars in the centre gives some extra storage and hiding space. I may do more but not sure yet, would have liked to increase the height of the main room, and expand extra space for Han to hang in a proper display area. There is not as much detail with the rancor pit added in, but I'm happy with what I have achieved Photo's here

I hit up LEGO on twitter a few weeks ago with this question, they said nothing planned for the near future but you never know what may come. A nice vague non committal response

Are you looking for playability or purely shelf display? The X-wing and Striker are similar, but the Striker's wings move a little different to the X-wing for a streamlined look. The Skiff has some great minifigs with Luke, Lando and Boba all included, it's an iconic scene from RotJ The Sith Fury is actually a really good build and I recommend it as a great buy from a design and look

Wow, I thought I was going overboard. picked up 9491 Geonosian Canon today as Myer had a 40% off second toy purchase, was contemplating the Gungan Sub, but I have the earlier version of it that i need to piece back together and see if it is complete. So I got a toy for the bub to satisfy the wife.

Yeah, I've got my eye on a Red and Yellow on Ebay at the moment, I picked up an incomplete green cargo train a month back, no rail but most of the carriages, missing a few axles. I plan to set it up and MOC a Star wars themed train.

Bat VS Bane and Daily Bugle sited at TRU Parramatta and Campbelltown, Target at Campbelltown also had both but was sold out of the Batman, just the ticket on the shelf.

Does anyone know if 750012, 750013 and 750014 are going to be exclusives? I picked up a 2013 Catalogue today and none of these sets are mentioned, if this is teh case I may just use S@H and get them now rather then hunting all the stores

75001 X 2 and 75008 picked up on my lunch break today

Myer in Sydney has 75001 and 75008 for Star Wars $15.95 and $22.95 the also had the City Fire sets, didn't look at prices though 60004 60003 60001 60010 Oh and I picked up a 2013 Catalogue, interesting thing is no 75012, 75013 or 75014 are mentioned

Excellent Review, loved the humour. I picked this set up today and also had misgivings about the stickers, but overall very pleased with the set, it's a really well constructed ship.
