LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!
cookiemonster replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Looks like convenience is a good point. I did a deal with someone before the Death Star went on sale and he got the figures for 330€. I am fine with this and he is happy. I never thought there would be people paying that much more on these not so great minifigures. I briefly thought about selling only the new ones but this is also very time consuming. -
LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2025 - READ FIRST POST!!!

Regarding the death star: The first ebay actions ended here in Germany were people sold the complete batch of figures. One ended for 499€ and the other for 534€. That's completly insane from my pov. What do you think about this? Are these figures worth 50% of the DS price? -
I am not that good in writing a lot of text ;-) Take it more as a picture only review... What is quite neat that the bricks come together in a nice way if you close it. If I have time later on I will try to include pictures of this as well. But let me tell you that I doesn't look closed as it looks when displayed open.

Hello folks and look what I found yesterday in my local toy store... The Box contains of 9 plastic bags. Interesting that Lego shifted back from paper for this one. Same as from the Fell Beast from 2024 After finishing Bags 1 & 2 After bag 6 Gandalf is the same mini figure as from Bag End set. Bag 7-9 is for the Balrog. It has interessting building techniques for the wing folding mechanism. The head is fully printed - no stickers. The wings are connected with the back of the structure so the Balrog stays in place when you close the Book Nook. Overall a very nice set which was fun to build and will display nicely between my other LotR sets. If you have questions feel free to ask them.

I also just saw the movie. It was great if you put it into perspective and don’t expect a second Raiders of the lost ark. It is really disappointing that it looks like we won’t get any sets for this movie. There was a great selection of scenes who could turn out very nicely as Lego sets in my opinion. -
Pirates of the Carribean 5 Sets Discussion

Sorry to dig out this old topic, but today I saw that my Silent Mary has collapsed on my shelf (it was in the pose to eat another ship). Kind of strange, because I thought the 4 big hinges looked to me really sturdy. Did you notice something similar to your ships in this pose? -

Is it me or does the Brickheadz now use sticker details? Look on the upper head of the sith trooper or on the 2x2 plate on Kylos face. -

Good commentary under the brothers brick review from the designer. I really appreaciate the personal communication which illuminates specific design reasons for this set (e.g. no vehicle, vignettes in the back etc.). -

The best is the price 45 USD? The Avengers Tower was about the same size and was given away for "free" as GWP: -

Not to forget about the insame price they can charge for the minifigures. Just look for how much they sell the figures from the upside down. -

The german blog stonewars.de reports that it would be a good advice to check back today around 3-4pm (CET) for offical material. So Lego will indeed announce the set today. -

This is way I always order at least one spare parts sheet of stickers from Lego. Just say they are going lose some months after you purchased the set. Lego needs to feel that its the wrong way to apply stickers to these sets. -

Just want to share my layout of the hall of armor. I bought two sets but reduced to number of cabins to seven per row like a member suggested some pages back. Now I have 4 cabins left but just need one more place for the MK85. I could just add another row of seven (buying the parts for the needed 3 ones) and add the 4 war machines plus the MK85. But this will leave 2 spots empty. Any ideas? https://ibb.co/L86qw7G https://ibb.co/gP3Q17P -
That was the point where I gave up and glued the sub assembly together. Now this section is rock soild ;-)

It's not that I tried it this way ;-) But after 30 mintues I lost faith to succesfully mount it ;-) My problem was that the black piece and the modified 1x1x1 brick where this piece stucks into get pushed out by pressing down on the wing. Or the angle was changed a little bit by the last attemp and everything collapsed :-( I managed to assemble one side correctly but there was still some tension in the connection because the assembly buckled a little to the outside. Before you ask the clamp was pushed as far to the back as possible so there was no error. One minior downside from the glueing was that a have some "glue" fingerprints on some of the tiles I know have to polish but otherwiese I won't disassemble the model so I don't care if the fews parts are glued or not. The final product is what counts and this X-Wing is purely amazing. I used the new canopy piece from 75218 and I think this looks even better than the print from the Resistance X-Wings.

I finished building mine totday morning and I must say it was one of the most challagening builds I've done this far. At some points I was switching between genius and madness ;-) The point where I lost hope was step 46 on page 111 (red 5). It was not possible to mount the two sub assemblys without them constantly breaking apart. My only solution was to glue the sub assembly together so they cannot break apart any more #lordbusiness ;-)
