  1. My special vote goes to legorevolution - Felucia: Heart of Darkness. The model is just epic in design and thought, I looked at every picture with awe and admiration. The scene is one that makes you think "damn I want one of those" and it has inspired me to start making a felucian scene. This is my favourite bit out of all the new ones and has just been made brilliantly. Best of luck. Thanks, CB
  2. "The old FBTB site had lots of fan built UCS' with instructions. I downloaded a number of them including a pretty spectacular B-Wing if you're interested..." Oh yes thats wonderful, thanks so much. May I ask which other ones have you got? The B-wing sounds amazing as my offical lego one looks awful. Thanks, CB
  3. Nice work, loads of details, It all works together and you are very lucky to get through. All the best with the competition. Thanks,CB
  4. Nice review especially for a first. I was about to do one myself but now I dont need to. I really like this set nice, good to have purple cheese. this set goes hand in hand with yesterdays. Thanks, cb
  5. Review: 30072 - Toy Story promo Set Title: Woody camp set Set: 30072 Theme: Toy Story Pieces: 17(not including minifig) Minifigures: 1 Year of Release: 2010 (late 2009) Price at Release: £0.65 (free with daily mirror) Brickset:http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=30072-1 After a friend told me about the free offer in the Mirror late last night, I was ecstatic. I rushed out early this morning and ran to my nearist WHsmiths and got myself 4 (before any one asks for a trade I got 3 as a present and the other for me). The review First impressions : It looks like an average polybag(I think thats what you call it) not much interesting here. Front of the bag Nothing at all Toy Story like on the back. Woody and Buzz in the corner of the bag. Closer picture of the set. The only instrucions page. What the instructions show you will get. Back page of the instrucions showing some advertising of other sets. Oh no woody is trapped. Strangely woody is in a little bag, not sure why? From the back. I dont want to focus too much on Woody as I think we all know what he looks like. What you get from the bag. "Now, what can i do with this pile of bricks?" Simple four piece bench. Wood camp fire. Slightly different lamp design to usual. Finished set. Not much to it. Yay sausage piece . In my opinion the best bit(I dont have many of this piece) Spares. Just a robot claw and a new fire piece, although not bad spares for a promo. RATINGS Parts: 7/10 - nice to get free stuff but not much here. Design: 5/10 - I know its only small but a bit more inventiveness please TLG. Minifigures: 8/10 - Nothing wrong here I am just not too keen on Woody. Playability: 4/10 - Not much you can do with it on its own. Price: 10/10 - Brilliant for £0.65 and has a minifig as well. Overall: 8/10 - I love legos promos and want more especially Toy Story. Thanks for reading hope you enjoyed it. Cant wait to do it tomorrow. Until next time, CB Ps - dont know how to make a poll and if a Moderator can that would be very nice thank you.
  6. Sorry I didnt, but now I feel bad . I especially love the B-wing and the snowspeeder - instructions please . Thanks, CB
  7. The starwars section was one of the best there, but to many darn children saying 'mummy can i have one' ment it was hard to see all the awsome detail in the mocs. These pictures have been very use full as mine turned out rubbish. Thanks, CB
  8. If only lego were as good as you at awsomeness and playabilaty, sigh ! Very nice moc really love it . Thanks,CB
  9. I don't usally visit the starwars forum (trains are my thing) but was I in for a supprise! This is AWSOME ! Your attention to detail is flawless. I am inspired. Can't really say how good it is any more, so i will just say I will come back more thanks to this awsome design. We need more like you. Thanks, cb
  10. And yes i am interested, thats an impressive train "Space2310" especially as its a narrow gaugue train. You should make a new topic for it. I will have to steal some parts of this design if you dont mind. Hope you do more like this as its great. Thanks, CB
  11. Hi guys thanks for the nice comments . @talltim, I had tried it before and wasnt easy. The main problem was when i was trying to do the bit around the wheels. But i will try it again at another stage. @Cooper, The IR sensor is almost the same and is only sometimes unresponsive but not significantly. The inclusion of the PF was the hardest bit as there isnt much room so i have used a m sized motor. @lightningtiger, Really I though it was rubbish as a first real attempt . @broomhandle, There is a blurry picture of the underneath of the engine showing the cogs on my brickshelf account. I will try to get more inside pics when i have the time. @Fistach, I thought its uglyness was its beauty - no just me, ah well . @Bricktrix, What how dare you accuse me of copying - only joking. You have been a great inspiration i hope you like it. Thanks,cb
  12. Hello fellow Eurobrickers. Today I have finished one of those builds that have been hanging around for about a year - yeah you know the ones . I have for you the class 08Shunter. This is a popular design and I thought I might try one myself. So here I go. Front shot. Right side Cab front Drivers side Left side Front left can you spot the button for the battery box and IR reciver? Cab light on. Front lights on. Overall, I think it well worked, but my rubbish technic skills make the loco wobble slightly . This is a working loco using PF. my brickshelf gallery here(when moderated). Thanks for reading and I hope you like it. Regards, cb
  13. 1) no 2)Individual 3)Big BEn 4)Trains and ones specific to real countries, in 8-wide and loads of detail 5)More new peices and new colours for old ones. Doctor Who theme Thanks, CB
  14. I agree the 9v motor is better but the PF motor preforms well in comparison. I like using M-motor and XL-motor as I have made a class 08 with one and preforms just as good as the 9v motor. Well done on the tests by the way . Thanks, CB
  15. After i saw your train i satin a dark corner of a room and cried - knowing that i could never make something that good. No really thats outstanding , I wish TLG would make one . Keep up the good work. Thanks, cb
  16. That's quiet a design 'roamingstudio' keep up the good work . You said you used Big Ben Medium sized and I think you ment these, which i use. I found these the most effective and easiest to use. Good luck with all your narrow gauge projects every one . Thanks,CB
  17. My design is either for the zombie or robot. Robots and Zombies are attacking lego city and a group of civilians in a shopping centre have just got a nasty suprise. (Insert a group of Zombies or Robots here) Full gallery when moderated here. Good luck to every one. Thanks,CB
  18. I am the almighty Fabuland Motel . I am quite happy with that. But i dont really like the set . Great topic idea by the way. Thanks,cb
  19. LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is a monster of a train (in a good way) and a piece of design genius. I especially like the carriage . Instructions please . Keep up the good work. Thanks, CB
  20. That is a Beast of a train Carl:wub:. This doesn't disappoint for those of us who admire you work, 5* . Cant wait for more. Thanks, CB
  21. Hi 'greenmtvince', I had mentioned narrow gauge trains in this topic. I myself made one and they are fun to make but the only thing i can easly thing of about powering is either;http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/mbellis/...ba_agm_2004.jpg or http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=371934.I have found the second technique very effective but i havent tried the first one. Also investing in some old 12v tracks wouldn't be a bad idea as the curves could be done like this. I am sorry i cant answer all your questions but i hope i have been helpful. Thanks, CB
  22. ^nice, but have you thought about replacing the green and black parts on the side for blue like here and here? Not sure if this design would be cheaper but I think the colour scheme works a bit better. Thanks, cb
  23. wow! They are great. I have seen similar locomotives in the uk and always wanted to build one. I am totaly inspired by these. Keep up the good work. thanks, cb
  24. WOW! . This lego rendition gives a wonderful insight to the whole museum, and that's a hard thing to do!! Can't wait to see more . Thanks, cb
  25. wow! I love it . Lots more train things i can try and copy:tongue:. They all look great I cant fault any of them, not sure how you did the levers in the signal box though? Is the shed a replacement or a revamp? Can't wait to see more. Thanks, cb
