  1. If you're open to wheels designed by others, most of Shupp's have a groove/no groove option.
  2. I do, however not all of my stickers are on it: https://store.bricklink.com/legoman667&utm_content=globalnav#/shop My listings on eBay have approx 100x as much sales as my listings on BL and checkout through ebay is more seamless.
  3. I created a more realistic sticker sheet for this set: http://www.ebay.com/itm/293219215572 I also have better station decals available up request. I think the train itself is very simple looking. I like the look of the station though.
  4. I had a couple people ask for more realistic decals for this set, so I made created some: http://www.ebay.com/itm/293219215572 I also have decals for the station available upon request. It's mind boggling to me why they didn't include the real names on the OG sticker sheet.
  5. Yes, I will do customs. The only stipulation is that if you want a custom shape, you have to provide a vector based file. I can handle the art or mixing and matching the colors.
  6. Hello, I'd like to share something I've spent many hours creating, high quality vector art of sails from a bunch of old pirate ships. I sell preprinted laser cut copies of these on my eBay store: https://www.ebay.com/str/okbrickworks, but I am offering the art here for free for adventurous folks to try themselves. They will not be possible for most people to recreate at home due to the fact that they're printed fabric. But I guess you could always print them on paper? Anyway, feel free to check them out. The filenames should be fairly self explanatory I hope. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/91h3hf8b04ig5us/AAB970VzChl2BeqEZUsxbgI7a?dl=0
  7. Those are great, thanks for sharing!
  8. Awesome replacement for lego's thick stuff: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JKQJZ56/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 wax coated cotton so you can melt the ends and it wont fray. Good for their thinner stuff: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078JYCWZM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  9. I was actually thinking about it. And also to create tents in general, I know a lot of ww2 modelers might be interested in those. Covered trucks, tents, etc.
  10. Lego ones say LEGO on them. Mine don't. They are easily discernible as not official Lego and it is not my intent to trick anyone. I do this so people my age can re-canvas their old ships from their childhood without spending hundreds of dollars on tattered official sails on bricklink. My sails are here: https://www.ebay.com/str/OKBrickWorks/Boat-Sails/_i.html?_storecat=3556275419&fbclid=IwAR0nH0mNiNooQnwoEmcZn8ztQ9sJcOpPBZ9qAAU8HYgNiVk493Rr-VbHAKQ Thanks! I really like how the tepees turned out (even though I suspect no one will buy any besides the guy I made them for).
  11. I recreated these for a large western display an acquaintance was building. Not sure if there's a huge market for them. I printed them on my Roland LEC-330 and laser cut them after. Nice thing about laser cutting is that it prevents the edges from fraying. I don't have any of the original tepee bar /w knobs that's used to hold the thing up, so I had to get a little creative. Is anyone aware of other tepee art that I can use? Lego only made these two. They also made the plastic one that came in the Lone Ranger set, but I haven't done that one yet.
  12. I offer a replacement sticker sheet printed on premium vinyl: http://www.ebay.com/itm/303026876319 pre die cut too.
  13. Happy to make the decals available for this amazing creation. Available on my eBay store: https://www.ebay.com/itm/293102725802
  14. I've partnered with Shupp to provide prints of his designs for a better price on Bricktraindepot: https://bricktraindepot.com/shop?tag=wheel And unlike Shapeways, Nate gets a 20% cut of all wheel purchases. I'm glad he'll finally get a return on the time he spent to create these for us.
  15. Cameron created instructions for my own 1:48 modern tank car design as well. Available in 2 different colors/roads: https://bricktraindepot.com/shop/btd-1-48-scale-25800-gallon-tank-car-procor https://bricktraindepot.com/shop/btd-148-scale-25800-gallon-tank-car-gatx
  16. I've made decals for someone who was building one of those. He hasn't publicly posted it though, so I don't think I can share what he's sent me.
  17. Im printing these for myself for my Brickworld display. Pretty sure the worldwide market for R152 and R168 consists entirely of me. Scott has better things to spend money to create molds for.
  18. I did some write ups on it for BMR: https://brickmodelrailroader.com/index.php/2017/03/10/hybrid-pf9v-systems/ https://brickmodelrailroader.com/index.php/2017/03/20/supercapacitor-power-packs/
  19. I've built many locomotives with super capacitor banks that can power the locomotive for about 45 seconds, recharge in about 10 seconds. Allows me to use non-power plastic track sections here and there as long as there is enough powered track sections to keep the caps topped up.
  20. If you all are a little patient, BTD will soon be offering Nate Brill's wheels for a better price than shapeways, and already printed in black. Additionally, Nate will get a cut from each sale (he makes nothing from Shapeways). Also, the surface finish is better.
  21. You are absolutely correct. Every year the market for 9v track gets smaller and smaller. Without a new electrical pickup the market will continue to dwindle. Based on my sales, I can tell you right now that paying for an injection mold to make 9v track is a waste of money. The low quantities are ideal for 3D printing. If Scott or someone comes out with pickups and injection molded r56-120 9v track, then I would probably stick to super large radii. You'll note that I specifically don't have any products that overlap with offerings by any other company. I do this for fun in my spare time, not to step on anyone elses toes.
  22. Yes I will be at Brickworld doing a collab with Jeff Fonda. I hope to have a loop of R136 ballasted and running, but that requires a lot of tedious work between then and now so we'll see. I'll definitely have samples either way. I won't be a vendor though so I won't be selling. I haven't printed any samples of the super wide radii, but I have renders and the files are ready to go. They just look like straights, haha. In 9V (pieces required for a loop): R216 $7.50 (48), R232 $6.75 (64), R248 $7.00 (64), R264 $7.25 (64). The RC prices are $1.25 less than their 9V counterpart. The metal is standard nickel silver rail, so it will oxidize eventually, but it's fairly resistant. Shouldnt be too different of an experience than original Lego 9V track.
  23. Just added my second instruction release: the Union Pacific Rio Grande Heritage SD70ACe. This 7 wide model is fully powered by 2 PF L motors and a PFX Brick. Stud.io says its 2088 parts. As usual, every BrickTrainDepot purchase includes a set of premium vinyl decals to decorate the model. https://bricktraindepot.com/shop/7-wide-emd-sd70-ace-drgw
