  1. An interesting read, Flipz! I find this new piece of your's both highly entertaining, and highly informative! You'd be surprised where Karie was originally going. I won't say it though, it's just not that interesting. The acting background came in with my personal love for acting and the stage, and I spun it into the person who is Karie Alderflask. I have a basic idea of where Karie's going, but not a concrete one. The whole ordeal with the Apprentice is, for me, a role players dream come true. I had a calculating, manipulative, madman leave a boot mark on my character. Now to see how that affect's Karie from here on out. Fly, little fledgling PC, fly! *Karie flies off into the distance*
  2. Karie couldn't help but check the man's pulse. She wasn't worried, but determined to save the man from death's grasp. "Look Yoro, we'll help Dice out on one condition, you cooperate with us. He has information we want, and we need it now. If you promise to cooperate, we'll try to heal your husband." She swiveled to the party, still knelling by the dying Dice. She addressed the party with an air of authority and force. "Will one of you pass me a potion? I'm a little low."
  3. Using his spider sixth ranger sense, Em attempts to make contact with any living animal in the mausoleum. He finds no tracks, hears no noise, or senses any other living creature in the mausoleum. Amma leads her party onwards. Straight, or right?
  4. Karie returned the stubbornness. "And Dice came here to meet with... him. Who's "him"?"
  5. Karie had been dragged around all day, she wouldn't be jerked around on a leash any further. "Fine. I want someone to go into the alley with me and Yoro, just in case this is a trap, and Yoro's hu... I mean buddy is the bait. I want the rest of you to ensure the alley isn't ambushed from the front. Oh, and you never told us who this man Dice went to is. Who are they?"
  6. OOC: Yes you did. It's getting perplexing, isn't it?
  7. With Amma's excellent sense of direction, the party trudges through the mausoleum, deciding to venture into its center now that the outer wall has been solidified on the map. The party reaches a new decision: Straight, or Left?
  8. Karie motioned for Yoro to step off the street an closer to the wall. "We don't know the whereabouts of your husband, we didn't kill him. Where's Abe now, and who did Dice come to meet?"
  9. Karie approach Yoro. She yelled to get her voice heard over the large, angry crowd. "We don't know. We haven't seen your husband in hours. Look, what's going on? I can tell the Hinckwell's are taking over, but where is the crowd going? Every mob has a ring leader, where are they? And don't play coy with me! I know you have info on what's going on!" Karie was beginning to feel uneasy. She had witnessed first hand the effects of an unruly riot gone sour, and she did not want to witness another.
  10. Karie shooed her party away. "Give me a minute! Just a potion and a remedy, my good man." She turned to her party. "Where are we going? The meet up's here at 4:30! We have time, lets wait in a nearby area, and eavesdrop. Before the trade goes through, we surprise 'em, kill 'em (or something of the like) and dispose of the bodies! I just suddenly realized that this is the third time today we've had to do that. Huh." 49-18=31
  11. Karie wanders about, with the intent of buying items. "Hmm... decisions, decisions..."
  12. Hmm. I'll have to contemplate it. You guys also got the bonus loot for reuniting Aldus and Violet, and there's some decent loot coming up. We'll see. Maybe he'll come with some of his wife's pastries! I heard her corn fritters are divine!
  13. Karie waited for silence before she closed her mirror dramatically, the lock's click resonating through the alley. Her face looked fine, but the rest of her body was splotched with white, as her paint was coming off in the rain. "Well, I suggest we head to Che Qi's place ASAP. We don't have much time left. Karie leaped off of the crate she was sitting on and began to walk out of the alley when she remembered something. "Um, if I give someone the map, while they lead us there?" She waved the map in her hand. OOC: That's a cue to move us along, by the way.
  14. I see what you did there! If anyone's wondering, the song's from Cabaret, one of my all time favourite musicals. The song's called Money. I'll post a link in a bit, since I'm currently on my phone.
  15. OOC: I'll wait to see what PsyKater decides to and go from there. You still need to figure out what's causing the perpetual darkness in here!
  16. Is that so? How would you feel about finding a Lvl. 150 Demon in the Mausoleum Suddenly?
  17. Karie was more than surprised at Drake's swift withdrawal from the bag. "Oi! No need to be greedy!" She smacked his hand away after he pilfered his coins. She was than shocked again when she realized she no longer had the bag, as she watched Nessa walk to the front of the church with it. Something about that girl made her feel uneasy. She knew she wasn't involved with the theft of that gem, but if Nessa saw her as a threat, would she intend to kill her? Karie clenched her waist. The scar was still there. Stupid Apprentice. She sat down on a crate and began to touch up her face, knowing she'd have to wait to do every other part of her body.
  18. The party unanimously decides to turn left. As they do, they realize that they've returned to the entrance of the Mausoleum. The area shakes, as dust falls from the ceiling! The area the party stands in seems to get darker, as an ominous gush of air rushes through the corridor! The nervous party, now back at the entrance, face a decision: Straight ahead, or back track?
  19. Aldus quickly yet stiffly stops shaking Heckz. He begins to leave at a fast limp, but turns and tips his hat towards the party. "Many thanks heroes! I think I can make my way out of here now. Do be careful... there's a peculiar aura to place. The darkness here is very... peculiar. I wouldn't linger here for very long... whatever has moved in... is obviously very old... and very powerful..." With those ominous words in mind, Aldus make's his way out of the party's view, as the darkness encloses them once more. Does the party wish to go left, or does the party wish to backtrack?
  20. Karie pilfers through the large sack of coins and takes five for herself discretely. "Waste not, want not." Upon hearing the young woman's voice Karie began to feel nervous. "Best I not be here. It'll look awkward, what with the smeared makeup and all. Any volunteers to return the coins? You simply need to tell her that Father Caine gave you the coins, and that he said he would be taking a leave of absence."
  21. Karie could tell this gem meant something to Nessa. "No Nessa, I'm not. I don't even know what you're talking about. When was your gem stolen? Just to prove my innocence, I'm twenty two now. How many years ago was the gem stolen?" Karie didn't know how to feel towards Nessa. There was pity and genuine remorse, but after all the stuff she put her through... Karie waited patiently for an answer.
  22. Karie lifted the hefty sack up up, and peered inside. Lots of shiny. "Any ideas?"
  23. At the mention of Violet's name, Aldus reaches out at Heckz and shakes him violently, obviously panicking. "Where is she? Is she alright? Please, you must tell me that my Violet's alright!"
  24. Karie clutches the topaz in her pouch. "You were going on a rant. Something about a bijou and how I stole your gem. Oh, and your eyes went all weird, like you were possessed or something. You also said I'm the most awesome party leader and the best pickpocket who ever lived, and that we wouldn't be where we are now without me." She smiles innocently.
  25. The man straightens himself after hearing his name. His demeanor as a whole is much more calm. "Why, yes it is? How... how do you know my name?"
